What
is
|-HQ?
Well,
in
simple
terms,
it
is
a
way
of
getting
the
best
picture
quality
out
of
your
video
tapes
during
recording
and
playback.
For
example,
if
you
use
S-VHS
(highest
quality)
video
tapes
for
recording
you
will
get
a
picture
quality
that
is
greatly
improved
over
normal
(non

VCRs.
;
When
recording
with
high
grade
tapes
(S-VHS
etc.)
onanormal
(non
I-HQ)
VCR
you
don’t
get
the
full
benefit
of
the
visual
range
available
with
these
tapes.
Of
course,
I-HQ
optimizes
the
quality
of
all
your
video
tapes.
Because,
when
you
press
the
I-HQ
and
record
buttons,
the
VCR
reads
and
memorizes
the
characteristics
of
the
tape
and
so
uses
the
full
potential
of
that
tape.
This
is
the
same
operation
that
is
found
on
high
quality
audio
cassette
decks.
During
playback,
I-HQ
optimizes
noise
cancellation
and
