AF-100S
With many user friendly features,
AF-100S is ideal for use by Police at Traffic
Roadblocks or Officer in various workplaces
where the alcohol level of employees needs
to be controlled with a quick test.

Before using the device, read all instruction manual carefully and perform the
test.
The device should be recalibrated every 6 months by trained service personnel.
The use without periodic calibration service may result in incorrect results.
Moving the device away from in front of the subject until the sample is taken
can cause inaccurate readings.
Residual alcohol in the mouth can distort the measurement.
Certain substances could interfere with the results.
Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
Do not shake or drop it. The impact of the device can cause malfunctioning.
Aromatic drinks or mouth sprays containing alcohol can interfere with
measurements. In this case, wait for 30 minutes or rinse the mouth with pure
water.
Do not permit to blow cigarette smoke into the tester which may damage the
sensor.
Don’t do drinking drive and even small amount of alcohol may cause
impairment in normal driving operation.
Do not use this device as a tool to determine whether you may operate a
motor vehicle or equipment, or perform any other dangerous act.
The manufacturer and the sellers will not take any legal responsibility for the
test results.
If a fault occurs or the device is damaged, do not attempt to repair the device
yourself. Repair service should only be carried out by trained service personnel.
Blowing very hard may cause damage to sensor as saliva flows into sensor.
Do not use or store the device in an environment where the ambient
temperature or humidity is extremely high or low.
Protect the device from extreme heat, direct sunlight, dirt and dust.
It should be kept out of reach of children under 12 years of age.

REMOVING THE BLOW CAP
Due to the sanitary reasons, it is highly recommended
to periodically replace a Blow Cap with new one,
or to re-use after washing the Blow Cap.
Step 1.
Pull up and pull out the Blow Cap gently from
the device.
INSTALLING THE BLOW CAP
Step 1.
Fit a hole of Blow Cap in the blue sensor so that
the blue sensor can come out of the hole.
NOTE
– The blue sensor should be completely stuck out
of the Blow Cap.
Otherwise it may cause a problem to take the breath
samples.

Step 2. Bend the opposite side of Blow Cap up and fit the part in the device.
Step 3. Fit the other parts of Blow Cap in the device in the same way as
the Step 2.
Step 4. Ensure every parts of the Blow Cap is closed tightly.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
The AF-100S is can be charged via Micro USB cable provided.
Step 1. Open the cover of the USB slot in the bottom.
Step 2. Connect the USB cable to the AF-100S's USB slot, and then plug the
end of the USB cable into the USB Power.
Step 3. The ON/OFF button will be blinking when the charger is connected
and charging begins.
When the battery is fully charged, 5 Blue LEDs will blink on the
level indicator.
NOTES
- The device cannot be used while it is charging.
- Ensure that the USB cover is closed tightly to prevent dust entering the device.
Open or loose covers may allow dust to enter the device and cause damage.
- Use 5V 1A USB Port to charge the device.

OPERATION
NOTE - Wait at least 30 minutes after drinking, eating or smoking before testing.
Not observing this waiting period can cause inaccurate readings and damages
to the sensor.
Step 2. The level indicator will display the following information two times.
THE TOTAL NUMBER OF TESTS PERFORMED
A purple LED will flicker when the total number of tests is
over 5000 times.
A purple LED will be displayed when the total number of
tests is between 4000~4999 times.
Two purple LEDs will be displayed when the total number
of tests is between 3000~3999 times.
Three purple LEDs will be displayed when the total number
of tests is between 2000~2999 times.
Step 1. To turn on the AF-100S, press and
hold the ON/OFF button until the Blue and
Red LEDs appear on the Status Light.
Four purple LEDs will be displayed when the total number
of tests is between 1000~1999 times.

THE REMAINING CALIBRATION DATE
A red LED will flicker when 7 days left to the recalibration.
A red LED will be displayed when a month left to the
recalibration.
Two red LEDs will be displayed when 2 months left to the
recalibration.
Three red LEDs will be displayed when 3 months left to
the recalibration.
Four red LEDs will be displayed when 4 months left to the
recalibration.
Five red LEDs will be displayed when 5-6 months left to
the recalibration.
Five purple LEDs will be displayed when the total number
of tests is under 999 times.
THE REMAINING BATTERY POWER
A red LED will flicker when there is no battery power left.
A blue LED will flicker when 1-9% battery power is left.
A blue LED will be displayed when 10-19% battery power
is left.

Two blue LEDs will be displayed when 20-39% battery
power is left.
Three blue LEDs will be displayed when 40-59% battery
power is left.
Four blue LEDs will be displayed when 60-79% battery
power is left.
Five blue LEDs will be displayed when 80-100% battery
power is left.
Step 3. The countdown will begin automatically as follows. When the AF-100S
is ready for testing after the countdown, the status light will display a Blue LED
and a Red LED on the bottom.
NOTES - The Level Indicator displays the remaining battery power during
operation as the default.

PASS
When the test result is less
than 20% of alarm limit.
When the test result is
21~40% of alarm limit.
Step 4. Blow a sufficient breath sample through the blow cap until there is a
double beep sound.
NOTES
- To get the correct result, the blowing should be done 5cm directly in front of the
Blow Cap.
- In ready mode, user can draw the breath sample forcibly by pressing the
PASSIVE button.
Step 5. Once a correct sample is taken, the blue LED and red LED will go
up and down for a second with a beep sound, and the result will be displayed
on the status light.
NOTE
- If an insufficient breath sample is taken, a Blue LED
and a Red LED on the top will flicker (as shown in
the photo) with beep sounds for 10 seconds.
Press PASSIVE button to retest.
Step 6. The estimated BAC level will be displayed as follows.

When the test result is
41~60% of alarm limit.
When the test result is
61~80% of alarm limit.
When the test result is
81~100% of alarm limit.
FAIL
When the test result is
101~150% of alarm
limit.
When the test result is
151~200% of alarm
limit.
When the test result is
more than 201% of
alarm limit.

Step 7. Press and hold down the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to turn off the
AF-100S.
NOTE - AF-100S switches off automatically 20 minutes after the last operation.
NOTES
- If the result is "PASS", the AF-100S will move on to the ready mode
automatically for the next test.
- If the result is "WARN" or "FAIL", the AF-100S will show the result for 10
seconds, and then move on to the ready mode automatically.
(During this time showing the result, user can move on to the ready mode
without waiting by pressing the PASSIVE button.)
SETTING ALARM LEVEL
Alarm level can be set in five levels.
User can enter the mode of alarm level setting during the countdown or the
ready mode.
Step 1. Press and hold down ON/OFF, PASSIVE, and LIGHT buttons together
for 5 seconds during the countdown or the ready mode.
Three Blue LEDs will be displayed as below.

- AF-100S will move on to the countdown automatically if there is no input for
20 seconds.

Step 2. Change the alarm level by pressing LIGHT button.

Step 3. Press PASSIVE button to save it and move on the countdown.

DISPLAY OF SIGNAL LAMP
Step 1. Press LIGHT button for a second during the countdown or the ready
mode. There are seven different signal lamps, and the selected signal lamp is
shown on the back side of the status light.
Step 2. Press LIGHT button to finish it and move on the countdown.
SETTING SIGNAL LAMP
AF-100S offers seven different signal lamps and user can select a different
signal lamp through this mode.
Step 1. Press and hold down ON/OFF and LIGHT buttons together for
5 seconds.
Step 2. There are seven different signal lamps as below. Change the signal
lamp by pressing the LIGHT button.
MODE 1 Blue and red LED will blink by turns in the interval of
0.1 seconds.
Blue and red LED will blink by turns in the interval of
0.3 seconds.
Blue and red LED will blink by turns in the interval of
0.5 seconds.
Blue LED will blink in the interval of 0.3 seconds.
Blue LED will remain on.
Red LED will blink in the interval of 0.3 seconds.
Red LED will remain on.
Step 3. Press PASSIVE button to save it and move on the countdown.

WARRANTY
The manufacturer warrants the product to be free from defects in workmanship
or material(excluding calibration) under normal use for 1(one) year from the date
of purchase.
The manufacturer's obligation under this warranty is limited to replacing,
adjusting or repairing the unit at manufacturer's option, if returned along with
proof of purchase.
For any defects due to natural disaster or customer's negligence, misuse,
reconstruction and repair by unauthorized person, the reasonable cost shall be
charged for repair or part replacement.
