SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONS
• Use the ALCOLAB testpoint for its intended purpose only
• Do not blow smoke or spit into the straw; it may damage the sensor inside the
device
• Always use a new straw for each test
• Use the tester within the ambient temperature range of 10 to 40 °C
• Do not disassemble the tester, as this may cause injury and void the warranty
• Keep magnets or radio frequency (RF) devices away from the tester to minimize the
potential for electromagnetic interference
• Wait 10 minutes after drinking, eating or smoking before providing a breath sample
• Drinking alcohol and eating foods containing alcohol will result in a warning,
including: Medicines, menthol drops, smoking, using mouthwash or mouth spray
• Rinse with water after using mouthwash or mouth spray to remove alcohol content
• Do not spray air fresheners, disinfectants, cologne or perfume prior to a test, as
these may also contain alcohol
NOTE: There are additional factors that may affect the results of a breath test.
Follow this manual carefully to avoid false readings.

INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the ALCOLAB testpoint, a device designed with your safety
in mind.
The ALCOLAB testpoint measures Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Alcohol tolerance differs from person to person; impairment may occur below the legal
limit. It may take up to 60 minutes to reach the highest BrAC after consuming alcohol.

WARRANTY
All ACS products are warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and materials for
up to one year from the date of shipment.
ACS agrees to replace or repair any defective ALCOLAB testpoint, provided the defect
was not caused by misuse or mishandling.
Any ALCOLAB testpoint being returned for warranty repair must be properly packaged
and shipped prepaid to the authorized dealer’s facility.
MAINTENANCE
The ALCOLAB testpoint is manufactured for eld use and is susceptible to dirt and
debris. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or
solvents.
Periodic maintenance and calibration is required. Contact your dealer for more
information.
GETTING STARTED
The ALCOLAB testpoint is a simple to use breath alcohol tester. It measures
Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), which is in direct proportion to Blood Alcohol
Concentration (BAC). The readout is provided on the screen.
With its 10 inch touchscreen display, the ALCOLAB testpoint is well suited for any
social or corporate gathering where alcohol is served. The built-in rechargeable battery
allows for transportation and quick presentations. During events, it is recommended to
use the AC/DC adaptor provided.
There are 3 access levels within the ALCOLAB testpoint: Owner, Administrator and
Operator.

SETUP
1. Ensure the tablet is fully charged or plugged in. The power button is located on the
back, left-hand side of the device, under the rotating round cover. Press and hold
the power button for 5 seconds to turn on the device, the application will launch
automatically within a few minutes.
2. Input the provided registration key into the Registration Key eld and tap
ACTIVATE.
3. Create and customize your Owner prole by following the on-screen prompts.
When completed, tap CREATE OWNER.
4. The following screen will indicate the Owner logged into the device and provide
several options. It is recommended to rst setup Wi-Fi, e-mail and the app’s
language before proceeding to create users’ proles (Administrator and/or
Operator). Scheduling events should be left until the end.
OPERATION
Once on site, plug the ALCOLAB testpoint into the AC/DC adaptor provided.
1. Click on the EVENTS tab, select the desired event from the list of scheduled
events, review the summary page and make necessary changes before
proceeding. Once an event starts, the login time is stored in the event’s report.
Exiting an event will generate a logout time.
NOTE: Once an event is terminated, it will be removed from the event list.
If the event needs to be restarted, the Owner or Administrator will need to
recreate the event.
2. Once the event is active, users operating the device will be presented with the
main screen reading START MY TEST. On-screens prompts will guide the user
through the breath test process.
3. The device will prompt the user to insert a straw into the breath port. Real-time
guidance gives the user a visual repersentation of their breath pressure to ensure
a successful breath test.
4. Results are displayed based on preset alcohol level limits.
5. Once a test is competed and the device’s recovery time is over, the main screen
reading START MY TEST will be redisplayed.
6. To end an event, press and hold START MY TEST for 5 seconds, input the
password and exit the event. A report will be automatically generated for the
Owner’s use.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PASSWORD
Each access level Owner, Administrator and Operator is password protected.
If the Administrator or Operator forgets their password, or their password needs to be
reset, the Owner will need to delete and recreate prole(s).
If the Owner’s password is forgotten or needs to be reset:
1. Logout and Exit the application
2. Head to Settings.
3. Select Applications.
4. Select ALCOLAB testpoint.
5. Clear Data.
NOTE: All data and records will be lost on the ALCOLAB testpoint.
POWER
When operating on the built-in battery alone, the ALCOLAB testpoint may lose power
or enter a power saving mode.
To resolve this issue, use the AC/DC adaptor provided with the device. Plug the device
into an outlet and access the power button located on the back, left-hand side of the
ALCOLAB testpoint, under the rotating round cover. Press and hold the power button
for 5 seconds. Within a few minutes, the application will relaunch automatically and
resume regular operations.
During startup the device may require a software update. Device updates are
manufacturer recommended. Ensure the device is plugged into the AC/DC adaptor
provided to avoid power loss during the update process. If an interruption occurs during
a software update, the device may become unresponsive. Follow the Power steps
located above to resolve this issue, if the issue persists contact ACS.
CALIBRATION
When calibration is required, the device may prompt the user with an expiration
warning. Contact ACS for further instructions.
