Recommendations:
Read the entire text of the operating instructions prior to the assembly and operation
of the device.
These operating instructions are intended to make it easier for you to get familiar
with your device and utilise its intended possibilities of use.
The operating instructions contain important notes on how to work safely, properly
and economically with your machine and how to avoid dangers, save repair costs,
reduce downtime, and increase the reliability and working life of the machine.
In addition to the safety regulations contained herein, you must in any case comply
with the applicable regulations of your country with respect to the operation of the
machine.
Keep the operating instructions in a clear plastic folder to protect them from dirt and
humidity; store them near the machine. The instructions should be read and careful-
ly understood by each operator prior to using the machine. Only persons who have
been trained in the use of the machine and are aware of the related dangers and
risks should be allowed to use the machine. The local required minimum age must
be met.
In addition to the safety notes contained in these operating instructions and any
specific regulations in your country, the generally recognised technical rules for the
operation of identically constructed machines must be observed.

• Open the packaging and take out the equipment with care.
• Remove the packaging material.
• Check that all listed contents are present.
• Inspect the equipment and parts for any damage. Please contact the helpline if
anything is missing.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the end of the guarantee period.
• Read the operating instructions fully to familiarise yourself with the tool prior to
using it.

The demolition breaker is suitable for chiselling into concrete, stone and plaster.
Any other usage or modification of the appliance is deemed to be improper and
carries a significant risk of accidents.
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage(s) attributable to misuse.
The appliance is not intended for commercial use.
General Power Tool Safety Warnings
mWARNING!
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warn-
ings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (cord-
ed) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1. Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite acci-
dents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in
the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create
sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.

2. Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in
any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded)
power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of
electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as
pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of
electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a
power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or un-
plugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges
or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of elec-
tric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suit-
able for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the
risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a
residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces
the risk of electric shock.
3. Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when
operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired
or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of
inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal
injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection.
Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat,
or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce person-
al injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure that the electric tool is
switched off before you connect it to the power supply, pick it up or
carry it. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energis-
ing power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool
on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool
may result in personal injury.

e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This
enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your
hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewel-
lery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and col-
lection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use
of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
4. Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your applica-
tion. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for
which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any
power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and
must be repaired.
c) Remove the plug from the socket before making adjustments to the ap-
pliance, changing accessories or putting the appliance into storage. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool ac-
cidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow per-
sons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the
power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power
tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools
with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these
instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to
be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those
intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5. Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using on-
ly identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the
power tool is maintained.

Safety instructions specific to demolition breakers
• Wear hearing protection. Exposure to loud noise can lead to hearing
loss.
• Use the additional handles supplied with the appliance. Loss of con-
trol can lead to injuries.
• Hold the appliance by the insulated handles when you are carry-
ing out work during which the deployed tool may come into contact
with concealed power cables or its own power cable. Contact with a
live wire may electrify exposed metal parts of the power tool and could
give the operator an electric shock.
• Wear a dust mask.
Before Use

Switch off the appliance and pull out the power plug before starting any work on
the appliance.
Greasing (Fig. 1)
m WARNING!
• Before every use, check whether there is enough grease (e.g. multi-purpose
grease, bearing grease, etc.) in the appliance and on the chisel. Operation with-
out grease will cause irreparable damage to the appliance.
• Grease the tool holder (6) with some grease (not included).
• Grease the appropriate chisel shaft (12/13) with some grease (not included).
Checking the oil level (Fig. 1 / 3)
NOTE
Before operating the appliance, check whether there is enough oil (e.g. SAE 20W—
50) in the appliance. Operation without sufficient oil will cause irreparable damage
to the appliance.
• Hold the appliance with the tool holder (6) facing upwards.
• Look in the oil inspection window (3) on the underside of the appliance to see
whether there is sufficient oil in the appliance.
• If you cannot see any oil in the oil inspection window , top up the oil (SAE 20W—
50) as described in the section “Topping up the oil”.

Use the additional handle (Fig. 1)
• You can position the additional handle (4) as you wish.
• Undo the knurled nut (5).
• Turn the additional handle (4) around the appliance axis and/or up to 360° for-
wards or backwards into the desired position.
• Retighten the knurled nut (5).
Fitting the chisel (Fig. 1 / 4)
m WARNING!
Before every use, check whether there is enough grease in the appliance and on
the chisel (see section “Greasing”). Operation without grease will cause irreparable
damage to the appliance.
• Pull out the locking pin (7) and turn it 180°.
• Place the chisel (12/13) with the milled groove pointing in the direction of the
locking pin (7).
• Turn the locking pin (7) 180° until it clicks into place. This locks the tool holder (6).
Check that the chisel (12/13) is properly locked in place by pulling it.
Note
If the locking pin (7) cannot be locked into position, this means that the chisel
(12/13) is not in the correct position.
Move the machine into a vertical position and then press the chisel (12/13) towards
the floor. You can now rotate the locking pin (7).
Removing the chisel (Fig. 1 / 4)
WARNING! Risk of injury!
The chisel (12/13) can become very hot during operation. Allow the chisel to cool
down after use and always wear protective gloves when you are removing the
chisel (12/13).
• Pull out the locking pin (7) and lock it into position so that it does not block the
tool holder (6). The flat side of the locking pin (7) must point upwards to open the
tool holder (6).
• Pull the chisel (12/13) out of the tool holder (6).
