4 Initial start-up, placing out of service and maintenance
4.1 Initial start-up
WARNING
Before start-up, the user must check for proper installation and for any visible defects.
WARNING
The device can be started and operated by authorized personnel only, who have read and understood the instruction manual.
WARNING
The device has must be used within the technical specifications only! (Compare the data in the data sheet).
The instrument housing is filled with glycerin. The glycerin level must be checked on a regular basis. The liquid level must not
drop below 75% of the instrument dial diameter. Small amount of leakage from the vent on top of the gauge is normal.
Pressure buildup can occur in the gauge, for example during air freight. In this case venting the gauge is necessary to equalize the
gauge pressure with the atmosphere. To vent the gauge carefully push the side of the vent plug on top of the gauge. Keep the fill
plug vented for 2-3 seconds to ensure the case pressure is allowed to equalize with the outside pressure. Do not remove the plug.
4.2 Placing out of service
WARNING
Disassemble the device only in pressure less condition!
WARNING
Depending on the medium, it may cause danger for the user. Comply therefore with adequate precautions for purification.
4.3 Maintenance
In principle, this device is maintenance-free. If desired, the housing of the device can be cleaned usíng a damp cloth and
non-aggressive cleaning solutions.
