FAQs
•Can I autoclave the nozzle?
Yes, the Freezpen nozzles are autoclavable.
•How many cartridges are required per session?
It is recommended to use a new cartridge per session to ensure the correct
amount of flow to the area of treatment.
•When is it safe to open the Freezpen to change the cartridge?
After the treatment, press the button to release the remaining nitrogen out of
the cartridge. Only once the cartridge is empty it is safe to unscrew the parts
to open.
•What can I do if I cannot hear a whistle sound and/or there is no continuous
flow from the nib when I press the button?
1) Ensure the cartridge has been pierced: the upper and bottom parts may
not have been screwed in tightly enough.
2) The Freezpen nozzle at the bottom of the pen may not have been
screwed in tightly and the nitrogen may be escaping from the gaps either
side. Check the nozzle is firmly screwed in.
3) Ensure the lid that fits over the nozzle has been taken off.
4) Ensure no residue or particles are obstructing the nozzle exit.
5) Ensure the Freezpen is held nose down like a writing pen so that the
nitrogen flows downwards.
•The cartridge is releasing the nitrogen for less than 150 seconds, what can I
do?
Ensure a new cartridge is used for each treatment. If that was the case,
please contact Algeos Customer Services with the batch number of the
Freezpen cartridges box.
•How can I take the lid off if it is stuck in the nozzle?
To release the lid, unscrew the nozzle a bit and try to pull down the lid. Once
the lid is removed, screw the nozzle back in.
