CARICABATTERIA LITIO ALIANT
DESTINAZIONE D’USO
Il carica batterie al litio Aliant CB4820 HF TALKY è
stato progettato e realizzato per la ricarica di
batterie al litio LiFePo4 Aliant Serie EK.
La serie di batterie Aliant EK è dotata di elettronica di
gestione intelligente in grado di dialogare con il carica
batterie ed effettuare pertanto una ricarica ottimale
della stessa nel minor tempo.
Con l’adozione di questo carica batterie sarà
possibile:
1) Ottimizzare la ricarica della batteria
massimizzandone capacità.
2) Ottimizzare la durata della batteria (vita
utile).
3) Gestire carica e scarica in continuità grazie
alla modulazione PWM della corrente di
carica (gestita pienamente dal BMS).

ALIANT LITHIUM CHARGER
PROPER USE
The lithium battery charger “Aliant CB4820 HF
TALKY” is designed and manufactured for charging
lithium LiFePo4 batteries Aliant EK Series.
Aliant EK batteries series are equipped with an
intelligent electronic system which deals with the
charger and carry out an optimum charge avoid
wasting time.
With this charger, it will be possible:
1) To optimize the charge of the battery in order
to boost battery capacity.
2) To improve battery life (useful life).
3) To manage charge and discharge
uninterruptedly thanks to the PWM
modulation of the charging current (fully
managed by the BMS).

CONTENUTO DELLA CONFEZIONE
A) N° 1 carica batterie Aliant CB4820 HF TALKY
equipaggiato con:
a. N°1 cavo ROSSO “Terminale Positivo”
pre-cablato con uscita libera (L = 2mt).
b. N°1 cavo NERO “Terminale Negativo”
pre-cablato con uscita libera (L = 2mt).
c. *N°1 connettore a 2 poli IP67 per la
comunicazione PWM.
d. **N°1 connettore a 4 poli IP67 per
l’utilizzo di eventali contatti ausiliari.
e. N°1 cavo di alimentazione per
collegamento a presa elettrica da parete
(L = 2mt).
*Modello “AMP Superseal Series 1.5” a 2 poli (P/N
282080 Female; P/N 282104 Male).

MANUTENZIONE DELLA BATTERIA
Le batterie Aliant serie EK richiedono una
manutenzione estremamente limitata. Ricaricare
periodicamente la batteria in caso di fermo
prolungato ≥3/4 mesi.
PACKAGE CONTENTS
A) N° 1 charger Aliant CB4820 HF TALKY provided
with:
a. N°1 RED cable “Positive Terminal” pre-wired
with clear exit (L = 2mt).
b. N°1 BLACK cable “Negative Terminal” pre-
wired with clear exit (L = 2mt).
c. *N°1 2-poles plug IP67 for PWM
communication.
d. **N°1 4-poles plug IP67 for other possible

BATTERY MAINTENANCE
Aliant batteries EK Series require highly
limited maintenance. Batteries have to be charged
periodically after a longer standstill ≥3/4 months.
Utilizzare SOLO il caricabatterie Aliant per
ricaricare le batterie Aliant. L’utilizzo di altri
caricabatterie può danneggiare la batteria
Aliant, causare pericolosi surriscaldamenti e
ridurne il tempo di funzionamento.
In caso di fermo prolungato ≥6/8 mesi,
ricaricare la batteria al 100% prima dello
stoccaggio.
Non lasciare MAI la batteria ferma per periodi
superiori a 12 mesi.
After a resting period ≥6/8 months, battery has
to be charged to 100% before storage.
NEVER leave the battery stopped for more than
12 months.
Use Aliant charger ONLY with Aliant batteries.
Using other chargers may cause damages to
Aliant batteries or dangerous overheating and
may reduce the operating time.

1) Il carica batterie presenta un apposito display,
per la visualizzazione dei parametri di carica
istantanei:
A= corrente di carica
U= tensione batteria
h= tempo di carica
C= capacità fornita alla batteria [Ah]
E= energia utilizzata [KWh].

DISPLAY AND BUTTONS
1) The charger has dedicated display which shows
the real time charging parameters:
A= charging current
U = battery voltage
h = charging time
C = battery capacity [Ah]
E = used energy [KWh].
2) Selection
button for the

After about
10 seconds,
the display

3) Red control
indicator:
when it is
turned on it
means that

OPERAZIONI DI CARICA
1. Inserire la spina del cavo di
alimentazione in una presa di
corrente.
2. Collegare la batteria rispettando la polarità.
3. A questo punto, sul display del carica batterie
vengono visualizzate in sequenza diverse
informazioni relative alla programmazione
interna del caricatore. Viene presentata la
versione del software installato
nell’apparecchio, poi, in successione,
vengono visualizzati i seguenti parametri:
tensione di batteria, corrente di carica,
numero della curva di carica e, infine, la
scritta “GEL” oppure “Acd” a seconda che la
curva di carica impostata sia adatta per
batterie ermetiche al Gel o per batterie al Pb-
Acido. Verificare che il tipo di batterie da
caricare (al Gel o al Pb-acido) corrisponda con
l’indicazione data dal display (rispettivamente
“GEL” o “Acd”). In caso contrario contattare il
vostro rivenditore. A questo punto viene
eseguito un test sulla tensione di batteria per
decidere se iniziare o meno il processo di
carica. Se la batteria non è connessa al carica
batterie sul display appare la scritta “bat”. La
scritta permane anche in caso di esito
negativo del test (ad esempio, polarità
invertita o errata connessione con la
batteria). Se il test ha dato esito positivo,
viene visualizzato a display il valore della
tensione di batteria per un tempo di circa 5
secondi ed inizia la carica della batteria.
L’avanzamento del ciclo di carica è segnalato
tramite tre segnalatori luminosi a led: rosso
(3), giallo (4) e verde (5).
Alla fine della carica, con segnalatore verde
acceso (5), staccare la spina del cavo di
alimentazione dalla presa di corrente ed
utilizzare la macchina.
CHARGING OPERATIONS
1. Plug the cord into a socket.
2. Connect the battery, checking the
polarity.
3. Now, the battery charger’s display will show a
sequence of details on the charger’s internal
programming. It will be shown the software
release installed in the equipment, then, in
sequence, the following parameters: battery
voltage, charging current, charging curve
number and, finally, the words “GEL” or
“Acd” depending on the set up charging
curve being suitable for airtight gel batteries
or lead acid batteries. Make sure the type of
batteries to be charged (gel or lead-acid
batteries) matches the displayed details
(“GEL” or “Acd”, respectively). If it doesn’t,
contact our dealer. Now, a test is being run
on the battery voltage to decide if the
charging process should be started or not. If
the battery is not connected to the battery
charger, the display will show the word “bat”.
The word will stay on even if the test is failed
(for instance, reversed polarities or incorrect
battery connection). If the test is passed, the
display will show the battery voltage for
approximately 5 seconds and the battery will
begin to charge.
The charging cycle progress will be shown by
red (3), yellow (4) and green (5) LED
indicators.
At the end of the charge, when the green
indicator (5) is on, unplug their cord from the
socket and operate the machine.

Indossare sempre una visiera o occhiali di
sicurezza quando durante le operazioni di carica della
batteria.
Indossare guanti di plastica , un grembiule o camice
per proteggere i vostri vestiti; rimuovere braccialetti,
anelli o altri oggetti metallici che potrebbero causare
corti circuiti involontari.
CLOTHING AND WARNINGS
Always wear a face shield or safety glasses during the
charging of the battery.
Wear plastic gloves, apron or smock to protect your
clothes, remove bracelets, rings or other metal
objects that could cause accidental short circuits.
Se la batteria si riscalda sensibilmente durante
la carica, interrompere la fase di carica.
Lasciare raffreddare la batteria prima di
ricaricarla.
Prestate attenzione a non frapporre oggetti
metallici tra i poli della batteria durante la
ricarica.
Non fumare, creare scintille o fiamme in
prossimità delle batterie e del carica batterie:
rischio esplosione.
Non eseguire le operazioni di ricarica se la
batteria è ad una temperature inferiore a -10°C
o superiore a 60°C
Indossare sempre una visiera o occhiali di
sicurezza quando si operi sulla batteria.
Indossare guanti di plastica , un grembiule o

Non eseguire le operazioni di ricarica in luoghi
o posizioni alla portata dei bambini
Non causare mai corto circuito tra i poli + e –
della batteria: ciò può causare pericolosi
surriscaldamenti ed esplosioni.
Non caricare le batterie Aliant con valori di
corrente superiori a quelli indicati nelle
specifiche tecniche e raccomandati nelle
istruzioni: potrebbe causare pericolosi
surriscaldamenti. Spegnere il caricabatterie
prima di disconnettere i morsetti dello stesso
dalla batteria per evitare la generazione di
scintille.
Contattare un installatore professionale
oppure il numero verde in caso di difficoltà o
dubbi.
Non collegare più batterie
contemporaneamente. Non COLLEGARE MAI
più batterie ALIANT EK in serie o parallelo tra
loro.
Never make short-circuit between the + and -
battery: it may cause dangerous overheating
and explosion.
Aliant does not charge the battery with current
values higher than those indicated in the
technical specifications and recommended in
the instructions: it could cause dangerous
overheating. Turn off the charger before
disconnecting the terminals of the same from
the coil to prevent sparking.
Contact a professional installer or call toll free
number in case of problems or concerns.
Do not connect multiple batteries
simultaneously. Do not CONNECT more Aliant
batteries in series or parallel.
Store batteries and charger away from
children.
Do not puncture or cut the charger casing: risk
of short circuit.
Do not wash or immerse in water or other
liquid charger: risk of short circuit.

INSTALLAZIONE
Il caricabatterie in oggetto è un prodotto non
sigillato e con grado di protezione IP20.
L’installazione deve prevedere:
1) Montaggio in verticale a parete, onde
favorire un miglior ricircolo dell’aria e cavi
verso batteria nella parte inferiore
2) Opportuna ventilazione e aerazione del
medesimo evitando di INCAPSULARE il
caricabatterie dentro un vano chiuso
3) Le temperature di lavoro a massima
potenza sono comprese nel range 0° C /
+30°C. Valori diversi possono implicare un
declassamento della prestazione del
caricabatterie
4) Non è prevista la tropicalizzazione o altra
resinatura sulla scheda elettronica.
Calcolo della potenza termica generato dal
caricabatterie durante l’utilizzo a piena potenza:
Pt = Pel * (1 –η) = 150Watt

The charger above is NOT SEALED and with IP20
protection.
The installation of the charger should be made in
such a way that:
1) Vertical mounting with battery cables
BELOW the charger
2) Venting and aeration around the charger,

DISPLAY - INIZIALIZZAZIONE
All’accensione del carica batterie, sul display
verranno visualizzati in sequenza i seguenti
parametri:
-nome del firmware
-numero di celle
-corrente massima
-tensione massima
-tensione accensione led verde
-corrente 10%
-corrente al 40%.
Gestione dei LED durante ricarica
LED ROSSO A SINISTRA –corrente superiore al
40%Imax
LED CENTRALE GIALLO –corrente inferiore al
40% Imax
LED VERDE A DESTRA –tensione superiore a
3.45V/cella e corrente inferiore a 10% Imax
N.B.1 --> Se accendiamo il carica batterie e la
batteria è già in fase di regolazione corrente (e la
richiesta di corrente del BMS non raggiunge il
valore massimo di corrente del carica batterie), il
carica batterie accenderà il LED rosso e rimarrà
tale in quanto per passare alla fase 2 (led giallo) è
necessario che la corrente abbia raggiunto
almeno per un istante il 100% della nominale del
cb.
N.B.2 --> Nel caso la batteria si disconnetta
durante il processo di carica, agli occhi del carica
batterie viene visto come un ciclo di startup e
pertanto esso resetterà la gestione dei led come
se fosse appena stato acceso.
DISPLAY - STARTUP
Every power on cycle, the display sequentially
shows the following parameters:
-firmware name
-number of cells
-maximum current
-maximum voltage
-voltage setpoint for the green led power
on
-current value 10%
-current value 40%
LED blink during charge
LEFT LED “RED” –current up to 40% Imax
MIDDLE LED “YELLOW” –current lowest than
40% Imax
RIGHT LED “GREEN” –voltage up to 3.45V/cell
and current lowest than 10%
N.B.1 --> If we turn on the charger while the
battery is already in the balancing threshold (and
so the current do not reach the 100% Imax), the
charger will turn ON the RED led even if the
provided current is lower than the maximum
value. In order to turn ON the yellow led, the
charger need to reach (even for 1 seconds) the
max current (100%Imax).
N.B.2 --> If for some reasons the battery were
disconnected from the charger (or the charger
were powered off), the charger will reset the LED
status and restart has a new power cycle.
