1. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please read the following installation, operation and maintenance instructions for the personnel cleaning booth carefully.
Always ensure that the power is isolated before commencing any maintenance on this product.
2. EQUIPMENT ARRIVAL / INSPECTION
If there are any shortages, discrepancies or damage to your product upon delivery of your JetBlack unit, please
immediately contact Almeco.

4. INSTALLATION SAFETY INFORMATION & WIRING DIAGRAM
• Installation, commissioning and electrical installation should only be performed by a trained service person and in
accordance with the latest IEE regulations.
• All nominated installers will be responsible for proper and safe installation, as well as for safe
operation.
• The JetBlack’ s safety features (such as inlet guards), should never be dismantled, circumvented or
made inoperative.
PLEASE NOTE: The hose and gun assembly may arrive detached. If this is the case, simply remove the attached
bung from the discharge spigot. Slide the hose clip over the hose cu, push the hose cu onto the spigot and
tighten the hose clip rmly.

5. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Electrical Safety – Wall Mounted Units Only
• This equipment is designed to be hard wired to a fused supply. Check that the correct wire gauge is used and that the
correct voltage is available before connection. Please refer to the JetBlack rating plate for the full details – these are
located on the side of the JetBlack Touch Switch Box.
• It is recommended that the JetBlack is connected to an electrical supply that is surge protected and in compliance with
local codes.
• Always shut o the supply power and isolate the JetBlack before performing any maintenance operations.
• The appliance must be earthed.
• Any attempt to change the timer switch settings will invalidate the warranty.

General Safety & Operation
Attach the‘OSHA’ guard provided to the main JetBlack nozzle assembly before operating. This can be easily done by simply
sliding the guard onto the end of the nozzle.
For Wall Mounted JetBlack:
• They are supplied with a multi-range touch activated time switch, mounted in a weather-proof enclosure sealed to
an IP55 rating.
• To operate, press the‘Touch’button. The JetBlack will run for 30 seconds – if you require less time, simply press the
‘Touch’ button again, and the unit will turn o.
For Portable JetBlacks:
• It can be tted with a speed controller, which allows for the speed to be changed.
• The On/O switch is located behind the carrying handle on the main body. Press ‘I’ to turn the unit On, and ‘O’ to
turn o.
• If an anti-static unit has been tted, a second switch is located on the front of the JetBlack – the switch must be on‘I’
for the anti-static pack to work correctly.
• Always ensure that the portable JetBlack stands level on the four plastic feet provided.
• Never use the JetBlack in a wet environment.
• Do not remove any guarding, lters or the exible hose at any time.
• Never allow objects to pass through the guard whilst the fan is rotating.
• Always switch o the unit at the main electrical supply and disconnect the plug before performing any cleaning operations
on the JetBlack.
• Never use a pressure washer or steam washer to clean the JetBlack.
• Eye protection must always be worn whilst operating the JetBlack.
• The JetBlack has a thermal shut-o device for safety purposes. Prolonged use may cause the unit
to shut-o. In this case, switch the unit o and wait for a few minutes before re-using.
• Please note - the air from the JetBlack will become warm with prolonged use.
• These units are not designed for continuous use.

6. RATING
Please refer to the JetBlack rating plate for full details. On wall mounted units, these are located on the
side of the ‘On/O’Touch switch. For portable versions, they are located next to the power cable entry.
7. NOZZLE ASSEMBLY DETACHMENT
To detach the JetBlack’s nozzle assembly:
• Rotate the black coloured quick release tting 90 degrees until
it clicks.
• Push the upper ring towards the hose (away from the nozzle),
pull and twist until it detaches.
• Rotate the black coloured quick release tting 90 degrees,
and back to its original position.
• Push the replacement nozzle into the connector
• The JetBlack is now ready to operate.
8. REGULATIONS
The JetBlack has been designed in accordance with the following directives:
• Conforms to OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.242 (b)
• EN 55014-1 EMC Directive (Emissions)
• EN 55014-2 EMC Directive (Immunity)
• EN 60335-2-69 Low Voltage (Electrical Safety Testing)
• EN 61000-3-2 EMC - Limits for harmonic current emissions
• EN 61000-3-3 Limits of voltage changes, uctuations and icker in public low-voltage supply system.
9. MAINTENANCE & SERVICE
The following points must be observed when performing any maintenance or service operations to the JetBlack:
• The power supply must be disconnected and secured against restoration.
• Observe personal safety regulations.
• Filters – Almeco recommends that the lter is inspected at least once a month, and replaced after a maximum of 3
months. Almeco’s internal part number for this lter is B3.003.054.
To change the lter - wall mounted versions
• Remove the M5 screw / lter guard as shown on the diagram below, and pull the lter out of its locating hole.
• Re-insert a new lter, lter guard and screw.
To change the lter - portable versions
• Remove the 4 xing screws / lter guard as shown on the diagram below, and pull out the plug lter.
• Re-insert new plug lter, and secure guard and screw.

11. TROUBLE SHOOTING

12. RAIN COVER INSTALLATION GUIDE (WALL MOUNTED ONLY)
• Find suitable location for JetBlack unit, ensuring that the surface can support the total weight of the JetBlack and cover.
• Locate xings suitable for the substrate you are mounting to and secure JetBlack using the four holes in the baseplate.
Ensure the four spacers supplied are tted under the baseplate when tting to the wall.
• If the JetBlack is already tted to wall, remove and t spacers supplied under the baseplate, trapping against the wall
upon re-tightening the xings.
• Unhook the JetBlack gun from the holder on the backplate.
• Lift cover over the JetBlack and locate the slots on the rear face over the spacers tted under the JetBlack.
• It may be necessary to reroute any cable that potentially fouls on the cover prior to xing the cover down.
• Secure the cover to the wall with suitable xings using the two Ø7.0mm holes in the sides.
• Hook the JetBlack gun onto holder on the cover.

13. MOTOR BRUSH REPLACEMENT
• Ensure that the supply power is turned o, and that the JetBlack is electrically isolated and locked o.
• Remove all screws retaining the main JetBlack outer cover, and lift cover o (see below).
• Unscrew 2 screws from the plastic motor cover, and remove cover (see below).
• There are two plastic brush holders to be removed. Unscrew 2 self-tap screws per brush set. Remove the female
receptacle motor lead from the old brushes.
• Re-t new brushes. Assembly is the opposite of removal.

12. WARRANTY INFORMATION
Almeco warrants all products manufactured to be free of defects in material and workmanship for twelve (12) months
from the date of shipment. Not covered under the warranty is neglect or misuse of the equipment, operation in an
application not approved by Almeco, and alterations not performed by Almeco.
The Almeco warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of items shipped by Almeco. At no time will Almeco be liable
for any of the costs to the buyer for labour, transportation or down-time resulting from defective equipment furnished by
Almeco, or our suppliers.
Please note:
• The motor within the blower unit has a working life of 1000/1500 hours and the brushes may need replacing after
this period. Spare brushes can be purchased from Almeco.
• The warranty will be void if the JetBlack unit has been tampered with.

15. WEEE RECYCLING & MATERIALS DISPOSAL
Products bearing the below WEEE symbol should not be disposed of in general waste. These should be taken to local
facilities where they can be recycled free of charge. This will ensure minimum impact on the environment and human
health which could otherwise arise from inappropriate waste handling.

This product has been designed with environmental disposal in mind, all materials chosen are t for purpose, robust, yet
easy to recycle. The back plate is painted mild steel, the main body is moulded ABS, the air gun is a polycarbonate/ABS
mix & all wiring is PVC insulated copper.
