UNii Keypad
The UNii keypad is used to operate the UNii control panel.
Connections
Inputs (optional)
2 pieces, the maximum cable length for these inputs is 3m.
Removal protection (only for grade 3)
For this, a screw must be mounted in the lower left corner of the keypad in the breakout lip.
Mounting
The rear plate of the housing must be securely mounted to a flat surface using 4 screws (4.2 x 20
mm) and any matching plugs. For surfaces other than brick, suitable screws and plugs must be
used. The screw holes are located at the bottom left and right and at the top of the housing.

Attention !
On an older pcb version (1.2) of the
keypad the RS-485 connections are
on the left and the inputs are on the
right, this was changed in the latest
pcb version!. Also the tamper switch
contains a spring, the latest version
does not !

Mounting
The backplate should be mounted with 4 screws (4,2 x 20mm) and eventual matching plugs on a flat
surface. When the backplate is mounted on a surface other than brick, the appropriate screws (and plugs)
for that particular surface must be used. The screw holes are located at the bottom left- and right and top
left- and right of the housing.
Close the casing firmly until you hear a clicking sound, the connectors in the backplate need to make
contact with pins on the pcb board in the front cover. Ensure the front cover is entirely closed, see picture
below.

Service
The UNii keypad has no serviceable parts or adjustment points. In the event of established defects,
the entire keypad must be replaced (in consultation with the support desk).
Safety
For proper use of the Mifare DESFire reader in the UNii keypad (UNii KPR), it must be mounted on a
non-metallic surface. The keypad is only suitable for indoor use and must not be used outside the
specified temperature and humidity. Only original Mifare DESFire tags may be used in combination
with the UNii keypad

Identification: a label has been fixed to the back plate on the inside of the housing, on the basis of
which the device can be identified. The label includes the name of the manufacturer, the model, a
production date (2 digits for the month, followed by 2 digits for the year), the security Grade and
the environmental class.
▪Labels may not be removed!
▪If the installation does not comply with Grade 1, 2 or 3, the labels MUST be removed or
made clear in another way that the installation is non-compliant!
▪The serial number must not be removed

UNii Keypad
Het UNii keypad wordt gebruikt voor de bediening van de UNii centrale.

Hiervoor dient een schroef gemonteerd te worden links onder in het keypad in de uitbreek lip.

Let op !
Bij een oudere print versie (1.2) van
de keypad zitten de RS-485
aansluitingen links en de ingangen
rechts, bij de huidige print revisie is
dit aangepast. Tevens op de oude
print revisie zit een veer op de
sabotage schakelaar, op de huidige
versie niet meer !

Montage
De achterplaat van de behuizing dient met behulp van 4 schroeven (4,2 x 20mm) en eventueel
bijpassende pluggen degelijk bevestigd te worden op een vlakke ondergrond. Bij andere
ondergronden dan steen dienen de daarvoor geschikte schroeven en pluggen gebruikt te worden.
De schroefgaten bevinden zich links- en rechtsonder en bovenin de behuizing.
Zodra je bij het dichtdrukken van de behuizing een soort klik geluid hoort zitten de connectoren op
de juiste plek.

Service
Het UNii keypad kent geen ‘servicable parts’ of afregelpunten. Bij geconstateerde defecten dient (in
overleg) het volledige keypad vervangen te worden.

fabrikant aangebracht, de typeaanduiding, een productiedatum (2 cijfers voor de maand, gevolgd
door 2 cijfers voor de jaaraanduiding), de security Grade en de environmental class.
▪Labels mogen niet verwijderd worden!
▪Als de installatie NIET voldoet aan Grade 1, 2 of 3 MOETEN de labels verwijderd worden of
op een andere wijze duidelijk gemaakt worden dat de installatie non-compliant is!
▪Het serienummer mag nooit verwijderd worden.
