The byko-spectra pro light booth consists of:
1. Five housing panels and 14 hand screws to assemble the light booth
2. Luminaire and diffuser panel
3. Remote control
4. Power cord
5. USB cable and cascade cable
6. Snap hooks for luminaire setup

2 Light Booth Assembly

Fix rear panel on base plate with
hand screws.

Hold side panels with folding in-
wards. Insert into guide rail of
rear panel. Fix with screws.

Turn around booth and screw
side panels to base plate.

Place brackets of front panel in
pins. Tilt up panel and fix.

In order to position luminaire,
support from a second person is
needed. Fit luminaire in cones
and fix with screws.

Place diffuser pins in brackets,
side with complete hinge pins fa-
cing towards lamps. Snap dif-
fuser latch.
Ready to plug in and turn on! The power switch I/O is on the left side - below
the display.

3 Luminaire Assembly
Visual color evaluations can also be performed with a luminaire set up in a des-
ignated „color evaluation area“.
Suspend the luminaire with snap hooks (and chains) over the work area.
Place diffuser pins in brackets, rougher glass facing towards lamps. Snap dif-
fuser latch.
Connect several luminaires in a chain with cascade cables (refer to full manual
for detailed settings). Ready to plug in and turn on!
Setup Recommendations
Please see SAE J361 for set-up of designated „color evaluation area“.
Keep 30 cm distance to wall/ceiling or next luminaire.
Each luminaire needs adequate support, at least 50 kg.
Provide 1150 W per luminaire and follow local electrical regulations.

To turn on the unit, press the power switch I/O on the left side, below the dis-
play.

Move with ▲ and ▼ to desired illuminant. Press ENTER to switch on or
switch off. Move with ◄ and ► to scroll through lighting conditions.

to set-up auto sequence mode.

Check and adjust device settings (Operator, Profile, Lamp replacement,
Chain, Reset … ).

5 Remote Control
Switch between illuminants remotely in a distance up to 10 m. Please follow
the specified steps to take your remote control into operation.

1. Go to SETUP > ADMIN > SYS.
2. Chose RF Remote En.
Press ENTER to access the editing screen. Set to Enable then press SAVE.
3. Chose RF RemoteAdd.
Set a number between 1 and 8 and save. To return to main menu, please
press EXIT.
Turn around the remote control. Set the dipswitch with same number between
1 and 8 to ‘ON’.
The remote control will turn off, if there is no action for 30s. Press red power
button to wake it up.

6 Auto Sequence Mode
Auto sequence mode enables automatic switching between multiple illumin-
ants. This allows to focus on color appraisal.
Start auto sequence mode: In the main menu, go to AUTO and press ENTER.
Scroll with ▲ and ▼ through the menu to select:
1. PAUSE = The light source stays on, the time is stopped. Select PAUSE
again to continue.
2. NEXT = Proceed to the next step.
3. REP = Repeat the sequence continuously.
4. STOP = Stop the sequence and return to main menu.
Customize auto sequence mode: In the main menu, go to AUTO, press and hold
ENTER. Use the ▲ and ▼ buttons and ENTER to select the desired parameter:
• Type of illuminants for each step
• Duration time of each step (up to 5999 seconds)
• Intensity of fluorescent tubes (up to 2000 Lux)
• Intensity of ultraviolet light (0 to 100%)

7 Maintenance
Disconnect power cord before cleaning the light booth or replacing lamps.
Lamps are hot after use! Let them cool down first.
Cleaning
To clean the neutral gray surface or diffuser, use a soft, damp cloth with a wa-
ter based mild soap or detergent. Allow to air dry. Release the latch to reach
the inner side of the diffuser.
Lamp replacement procedure
Remove the front panel of the light booth. Release diffuser to reach lamps. To
protect the lamps, only touch them with gloves.

Self-Calibration of A and HZ lamps
After replacing A or Horizon lamps, you MUST use the Self-Calibration func-
tion to calibrate them.
1. Go to SETUP > ADMIN > RLAMP.
2. Use ▲ and ▼ to highlight either A or HZ.
3. Press ENTER to access lamp replacement screen.
4. Input lamp parameters “Remaining Hours, Remaining Cycles and Serial
number”.
5. Use ▲ and ▼ to highlight “Self-Calibration” and press ENTER.
The self-calibration process takes 5 minutes to finish. The button on the screen
switches from "Calibrating…" to "Complete".
Press ENTER to return to the lamp replacement screen.

Die Lichtkabine byko-spectra pro besteht aus:

2 Montage der Lichtkabine

Rückwand und Boden mit Hand-
schrauben befestigen.

Seitenwände mit Faltung nach
innen richten, in Schienen der
Rückwand schieben und fest
schrauben.

und Boden befestigen.

3 Montage als Deckenleuchte
Die visuelle Farbbeurteilung kann mit Deckenleuchten in definierten „Farbeva-
luierungsräumen“ stattfinden.
Die Beleuchtungeinheit mit Karabinerhaken (und Ketten) über der Arbeitsflä-
che aufhängen.
Glasscheibe einhängen, raue Seite zu den Lampen. Riegel der Scheibe einrasten
lassen.
Mehrere Deckenleuchten können in Reihe geschaltet werden (detaillierte Ein-
stellungen siehe Handbuch). Das System ist bereit für Netzanschluß und Ein-
schalten!
Aufbauhinweise
SAE J361 zum Aufbau der definierten „Farbevaluierungsräume“ befolgen.
30 cm Abstand zu Wand, Decke oder anderen Beleuchtungeinheiten einhal-
ten.
Jede Beleuchtungeinheit benötigt ausreichenden Halt – mind. 50 kg.
1150 W pro Einheit bereitstellen, örtliche elektrische Vorschriften befolgen.

Mit ▲ und ▼ die Lichtart auswählen. Zum Aktiviren / Deaktivieren auf
ENTER drücken. Mit ◄ und ► durch die Informationen zur aktiven
Lichtart blättern/navigieren/wechseln.

drückt halten, um in die Einstellungen zu gelangen.

Geräteeinstellungen prüfen und anpassen (Operator, Profil, Lampen-
tausch, Reihenschaltung, Zurücksetzen ... ).

5 Fernbedienung
Die Lichtarten können aus bis zu 10 m Entfernung umgeschaltet werden. Diese
Schritte befolgen, um die Fernbedienung in Betrieb zu nehmen:

1. SETUP > ADMIN > SYS wählen.
2. RF Remote En auswählen.
ENTER drücken, um in die Bearbeitungsansicht zu wechseln. Auf Enable
setzen und SAVE drücken.
3. RF RemoteAdd auswählen.
Eine Nummer zwischen 1 und 8 einstellen und speichern. EXIT drücken,
um zurück ins Hauptmenü zu gehen.
Auf der Rückseite der Fernbedienung befindet sich ein DIP-Schalter. Hier diesel-
be Nummer zwischen 1 und 8 auf ‘ON’ stellen.
Die Fernbedienung schaltet sich aus, falls sie für 30 s nicht verwendet wird.
Zum Einschalten den roten Knopf für An / Aus drücken.

6 Autosequenz-Modus
Der Autosequenz-Modus ermöglicht den automatischen Wechsel zwischen ver-
schiedenen Lichtarten, um sich voll und ganz auf die Farbbewertung konzen-
trieren zu können.
Autosequenz-Modus starten: Im Hauptmenü AUTO auswählen und ENTER
drücken. Mit ▲ und ▼ durch das Menü navigieren:
1. PAUSE = Die Zeit wird angehalten, das Licht bleibt an. Zum Fortfahren
PAUSE erneut wählen.
2. NEXT = Zum nächsten Schritt weiter gehen.
3. REP = Die Sequenz kontinuierlich wiederholen.
4. STOP = Die Sequenz stoppen und ins Hauptmenü zurückkehren.
Autosequenz-Modus anpassen: Im Hauptmenü AUTO auswählen und ENTER
gedrückt halten. Die Tasten ▲ und ▼ sowie ENTER nutzen, um den gewünsch-
ten Parameter zu wählen:
• Art und Reihenfolge der Lichtarten
• Dauer der einzelnen Schritte (bis zu 5999 Sekunden)
• Intensität der Fluoreszenzlampen (bis zu 2000 Lux)
• Intensität des ultravioletten Lichts (0 – 100%)
