ALZAIN™ PLANETARY MIXER
OPERATION INSTRUCTION
Thanks for buying products. Please read the instruction carefully and save
it.

When lifting the machine, the lifting device should always be used. Always leaning and
moving the machine in a vertical position. The machine should never be inclined at an angle
greater than 45 degree's. The machine should be completely empty before transporting.

1. Warning
1.1 When using the machine, please confirm that you have read all the instructions within this
manual.
1.2 Do not put hand near moving parts.
1.3 Keep work area clean and clear of clutter.
1.4 Do not sit or stand on machine.
1.5 Do not wear loose cloth or jewellery when operating machine as it may get caught in
moving parts and cause injury.
1.6 When the machine is abnormal or broken, you should stop using and check it or have it
checked by a professional.
1.7 Disconnect from power source before performing maintenance on the machine.
1.8 When machine is not in use, please clean and store properly.
1.9 Do not place any electrical parts or plug/cord in water.
1.10 The cord should be away from the heat.
1.11 Don’t hang out the cord on the desk or cabinet.
1.12 Machine may have sharp or pointed edges, use caution when cleaning.
1.13 This machine should only be operated by personnel who can read, understand and
respect warnings and instructions regarding this machine and the manual.
1.14 Keep this manual in a safe place for further and regular reference and ordering parts.

1.15 Please write model serial and date of purchase of your machine in the space provided in
case you will need to order parts in the future.

3.Installation
3.1 Before install your mixer, check to be sure that your electrical service specifications match
those of your mixer as printed on the mixer’s nameplate.
3.2 Place the mixer in its operating location. Bench should be placed on a sturdy level surface.
There should be adequate space around the mixer for the user to operate the control and
install and remove bowls.
3.3 Make certain the electrical supply is correct and the correct breaker is in place to ensure
protection from a short circuit.
3.4 A qualified person should correct electrical connection if required.
4. Operation
Safety Precautions:
Before using the Planetary mixer, please read the OPERATION INSTRUCTION carefully so
that you can use the machine properly

4.1 Before you start the Mixer:
Before starting, undertake a General Safety check:
a. Ensure the mixer is dry and placing in a dry area.
b. Ensure if machine is mounted on a raised platform that the platform is of sufficient strength
and the mixer is securely fastened to the platform.
c. Ensure that the power supply matches rating on the machine.
d. Work area should be clean and free from obstructions, e.g. nothing placed on or around the
machine, such as scrapers, knives etc.
e. Workers are not wearing loose fitting clothing and so on.
4.2 The machine has the following key safety features:
a. Emergency stop button in the form of a red mushroom safety switch on the side of the
machine.
b. The mixer is fitted with a lift up safety guard which permits safe operation of the machine.
Under no circumstances should this safety system be modified or removed. While the safety
guard has been designed to be as safe as possible for the operator to use, extreme care
should be taken not to place fingers anywhere near the planetary or mixing attachment on the
machine while it is in use.
c. The machine also has a safety switch fitted to the handle of the mixer. The handle and bowl
has to be raised to engage the electrics of the machine.
4.3 Safe Operating Procedure:
a. Check that the machine is clear of all objects and that the switches are off.
The operator should never tamper with or make repairs to this machine. All maintenance
other than approved cleaning operations to be carried out by trained technicians only. Contact
W & P Reedy to confirm authorized technicians.
b. Check and place the electrical cord in the appropriate power socket and ensure that the
power rating and machine detail are the same before turning the power on.
c. Push the green start button to operate the mixer.
4.4 Test red safety cut-out operation by pushing the mushroom button in.

The mixer must stop operating immediately. If not, do not use the machine; call supervisor
and advise W & P Reedy.
4.5 Test the slide safety guard by sliding the guard open and then closing and pushing the
green start button again. The mixer must stop operating immediately, when the guard is
opened. If not, do not use the machine; call supervisor and advise W & P Reedy.
4.6 Test the handle switch by lowering the bowl and then raising the bowl, then push the
green start button again. The mixer must stop operating immediately, when the bowl is
lowered. If not, do not use the machine; call supervisor and advise W & P Reedy.
4.7 During normal operation do not place any instruments or hands inside the mixing area or
around the planetary.
4.8 Never by-pass micro switches and run the machine while the guards are off.
4.9 Fully isolate machine from electric power source before cleaning.
5. Cleaning
5.1 When moving the mixer always use lifting trolley and appropriate procedures.
5.2 Brushing off all external surfaces. Using a soft brush working from top to bottom.
5.3 Wiping down the entire machine with a damp cloth, starting from the top to the bottom.
5.4 Cleaning of stainless steel bowl and attachments are to be cleaned with regular hot water
and detergent. Do not use abrasives as this can damage the bowls and attachments.

6. Trouble Shooting:
