Preface
"Thank you very much for purchasing AMANO New Time Stamp NS5000 Series. The New
‘Time Stamp is a unit that is intended to print dates and numbers on slips and forms
Before using your unit, please read this operation manual thoroughly and keep it at hand
so that you may make immediate reference to it when needed.

* Regarding DATE FORMAT, the Model NS5000 permits selecting only the year, while
the Model NS5100 permits setting a month, a type of zero and а zero suppress
function. (Refer to the раде "18".)
* Тһе Model NS5100 permits setting 2 optional types of print character pattern (user
format l/user format 2) in addition to 91 patterns of print character.
• Ano-break power function is available as a maker option.

Before Operation Р
Install the New Time Stamp оп a stable desk. Before printing, adjust the contents of print.
and the print position.
€ Use the Unit after removing buffer materials.

Precautions on Installation
Don't install the Unit in the following environmental conditions:
* Place exposed to direct sunlight or close to a heat source
• Place exposed to rain
* Place that is dusty or receives vibrations
• Place exposed to strong vibrations or shocks
Powering ON
Use a 100/120 V AC or 220/240 V AC for
general domestic use as a power supply.
Insert the power plug of the New Time Stamp
into the 100/120 V AC or 220/240 V AC plug
socket.
Even if a power failure occurs, clock data and
set data сап be protected for 3 years running
by means of lithium battery.
However, printing is disabled in the power
failure status.

Setting the Side Guide
© Determine the horizontal print position by using the side guide. When positioning is
not necessary, set the side guide with its back face upward
* Ifthe side guide projects too much when itis set, cut it according to the user's desired
length.
Fold the back face of the side guide in concave form. After folding it, check the cut end.
When the cut end is sharp and dangerous, shave it with a cutter

Dismounting the Top Case
[1] Insert the attached key and turn it 90°
clockwise.
[2] When raising the top case, it can be
detached from the main unit.

Explanation of Terms
е NUMBERING: А function to set a number to be set.
+ REPEAT: A function to change a number which has printed several times,
over to the next number.
* COUNT: A function to integrate the number of prints internally

Setting the Clock
Set the clock time to the current time.
Example: To change 9:05 to 13:48
