IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use.
If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions
must be included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to
persons including the following:
• Read all instructions before using this heater.
• This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin
touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater.
Keep combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding,
papers, clothes, curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the
heater and keen away from the sides and rear.
• Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near
children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and
unattended.
• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug after the
heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged by any manner.
Discard heater or return to authorized service facility for examination
and/or repair.
• Do not use outdoors.
• This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and
similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a
bathtub or other water container.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs,
runners or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or
appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not
be tripped over.
• To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from
outlet.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or
exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or
damage the heater.
• A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it In
areas where gasoline , paint or flammable liquids are used or stored.
• Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not
recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or
injury to persons.
• Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use
with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any
manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may
become blocked.
• This product draws up to 1500 W of power. To prevent overloading of
the electrical circuit, do not plug the product into a circuit with other
appliances already connected.
• The plug in the socket-outlet must always be easily accessible so that
it can be disconnected in an emergency.

Battery Warnings
• Exhausted batteries should be immediately removed from product
and properly disposed of.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
• Remove batteries from product if it is not to be used for an extended
period of time unless it is for emergency purposes.
• If the battery leaks avoid contact with skin and eyes. Rinse affected
areas immediately with plenty of clean water, then consult a doctor.
• Keep the button cell batteries away from children. Risk of ingestion
and suffocation!

Intended Use
• This product is intended for temporarily heating residential rooms with
an effective area coverage of 120-160 ft2(11-15 m2).
• This product is intended for household use only. It is not intended for
commercial use.
• This product is intended to be used in dry indoor areas only.
• No liability will be accepted for damages resulting from improper use
or non-compliance with these instructions.
Before First Use
• Check the product for transport damages.
• Remove all the packing materials.
• Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the
power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power
supply details shown on the product rating label.

• Remove the protective strip from the remote control’s battery
compartment.
DANGER Risk of suffocation! Keep any packaging materials away
from children – these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g.
suffocation.
Positioning the product
Place the product on a flat and stable surface to avoid risk of tipping it
over.
Operation
Connecting
Connect the power plug (5) to a suitable socket-outlet.
NOTICE
Once connected to the power supply, the display shows
“––” and a sound is being emitted.
Switching on/off
• To switch on the product, press the on/off button (17). The timer
counts down 15 seconds. When the timer runs out, the product
begins the operation with the last set heating mode and thermostat
setting.
• To cancel the starting procedure, press the on/off button (17)
before the timer runs out.
• To switch off the product, press the on/off button (17) again.
NOTICE
After switching off, the timer counts down 45 seconds
and the product blows cold air to cool down. Do not unplug the product
during that time. When the timer runs out, the product stops operating.
Heating modes and thermostat setting
• The current thermostat setting is shown on the display (11).
• Press the increase (14) or decrease (15) button to change the
thermostat setting.
• To display the current heating mode, press the heating mode
button (18) once. After approx. 3seconds the display (11) shows the
thermostat setting again.

• To change the current heating mode, press the heating mode
button (18) once while the current heating mode is being displayed.
Wait approx. 3seconds for the setting to be updated. The display
(11) shows the thermostat setting again.

In the EC (Eco) mode, the product cycles between the
low and high settings to reach optimum efficiency. In
this mode, the Eco mode indicator (13) lights up.

– Always on –
In this mode, the heater is switched off. Only the fan is
working for 45 seconds to cool down the product.
NOTICE You can also press and hold the increase (14) or
decrease (15) button to quickly set the temperature.
Setting the timer (automatic switch off)
• While the product is operating, press the timer button (19). 00
starts flashing.
• Press the increase (14) or decrease (15) button to set the
timer. Alternatively, press the timer button (19) to increase the time.
The maximum time is 9 hours, in 1 hour increments (1H, 2H...9H).
• Wait 3 seconds. The set time stops flashing. The remaining time is
shown on the display.
• The product switches off automatically after the set time has elapsed.
NOTICE To deactivate the timer, set the timer to 00.

Setting the timer (automatic switch on)
• While the product is off, press the timer button (19). 00 starts
flashing.
• Press the increase (14) or decrease (15) button to set the
timer. Alternatively, press the timer button (19) to increase the time.
The maximum time is 9 hours, in 1 hour increments (1H, 2H...9H).
• Wait 3 seconds. The set time stops flashing. The remaining time is
shown on the display.
• The product switches on automatically after the set time has elapsed.
NOTICE To deactivate the timer, set the timer to 00.
NOTICE The product starts to operate with the last settings used.
Swing function
The grille of the air outlet (2) can swing to the sides.
• To switch the swing function on or off, press the swing
button(16).
Sleep mode
The sleep mode turns the display (11) off. The thermostat setting
changes to 72 °F (22.2 °C).
• Press the sleep mode button (20) and the sleep mode indicator
(12) lights up. After 30 seconds the display switches to 50 %
brightness. After 60 seconds the display switches off.
• To exit sleep mode, press the sleep mode button (20) again. The
sleep mode indicator (12) turns off.
NOTICE In sleep mode only the sleep mode button (20) and the
on/off button (17) are working.
Changing the Battery

• Remove the battery holder from the remote control.
• Replace the used battery with a new CR2025 3 V battery. The
positive pole (+) must be pointing upwards.

• Slide the battery holder back in place.
NOTICE
Replace the battery if the range of the remote control
decreases noticeably or if the heater cannot be controlled via remote
control.
Cleaning and Maintenance
WARNING Risk of electric shock! To prevent electric shock,
unplug the product before cleaning.
WARNING Risk of electric shock! During cleaning do not
immerse the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product
under running water.
Cleaning
• To clean the product, wipe with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
• Dry the product after cleaning.
• Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers,
metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
Storage
• Wrap the cord (5) on the cord winding (4).
• Store the product in its original packaging in a dry area. Keep away
from children and pets.
Maintenance
• Any other servicing than mentioned in this manual should be
performed by a professional repair center.
Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
Unexpected
crackling sounds.
• This is a normal sound after starting up the
product. Once the heater heats up, the
crackling sound goes away.
Unexpected smell. • This is the result of dust or other debris
accumulating on the heating element.
This is normal during first use and after
prolonged storage. Make sure the product
is placed in a well ventilated area. Keep
the product switched on, until the smell
disappears.

Problem Solution
Product does not
react when buttons
are pressed.
• If no buttons are being pressed for
20seconds or longer, the display darkens.
Press the desired button again. The
product performs the desired function now.
Error codes E0/E1. • An internal open circuit error (E0) or an
internal short circuit error (E1).
• In both cases bring the product to a
qualified repair service.
Polarized Plug
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit the outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify
the plug in any way.
Safety functions
Tip-over switch
• The product automatically stops heating when it tips forward or
backward. The heating element switches off but the fan works for
another 45 seconds to cool down the product.
• After placing the product into normal position, restart the product.
The product can be used again.
Overheat shut-off
When the product becomes overheated, it automatically stops heating.
Resetting the product:
• Switch off the product.
• Disconnect the plug (5) from the socket-outlet.
• Wait at least 30 minutes.
• The product can now be used again.

Do not dispose of used batteries with your household waste. Take
them to an appropriate disposal/collection site.
