as the bread may burn. If bread smokes, press the CANCEL buon or use
a lower seng to stop it from burning.
19. Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use. Do not aempt to
dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.

Short cord instructions
Toaster functions
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulng from becoming entangled in,
or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
• The electrical rang of the extension cord should be at least that of the appliance. If the electrical
rang of the extension cord is too low, it could overheat and burn.
• The resulng extended cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
IMPORTANT
During the rst few minutes of inial use, you may noce smoke and/or a slight odor. This is normal
and should quickly disappear. It will not recur aer appliance has been used a few more mes.
1. Insert the slices of bread.
2. Select the desired toast seng.
3. Press down the carriage lever completely, the lever will then latch into posion.
4. Aer compleon of each toasng cycle, the bread will automacally pop up and the appliance
with switch itself o.
5. Carefully remove the bread from the toaster.
NOTE: All types of bread can be used for toasng, but the slices should not be too thin or too thick.
Fresh bread and dark coarse bread require longer toasng than drier bread; set appliance with this
in mind.
This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug will t into the polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not
properly t into the outlet at rst, reverse it. If it sll does not t, contact a qualied electrician.
Do not aempt to modify the plug in any way.

Use
TOAST: This is the default seng for general bread. Just adjust the toast shade selector and push
the lever downwards to switch on the toaster.
BAGEL: This funcon is useful for bagels, English muns or dark whole wheat bread. Press the
bagel buon, adjust the toast shade selector to your preference and push the lever downwards to
switch on the toaster.
CANCEL: If you wish to stop toasng during a cycle, just press the cancel buon and the toast will
pop up immediately.

Storage
1. Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down completely. Do not aempt to
dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
2. Wipe the body with a so cloth. If necessary use a slightly damp (not wet) cloth.
3. Do not immerse any part of the appliance into water and never use any abrasive cleaners or
scourers to clean the appliance.
4. This toaster features a crumb tray which should be emped at least once a week to minimize the
build-up of toast crumbs and other debris.
5. Grip the handle and slide out the crumb tray. Aer emptying the crumbs, replace the tray before
your next toaster use.
6. Clean the crumb tray with a moist cloth and then replace it into the appliance.
7. Never use the appliance without the crumb tray in posion.
8. Store unit in a clean, dry place.
9. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representave.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE, POWER CORD, OR PLUG, IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
• To change your selecon user must press the cancel buon and then reselect the preferred
funcon (s).
• Selected funcons will automacally be cancelled if the carriage lever is not pushed down in
approximately 10 seconds.
• Approximately 10 seconds aer the carriage lever is pushed down, the selected funcons will
be automacally locked. The toast shade selector will only funcon when it is adjusted to a
lower toast seng. This safety feature avoids over extended toasng me each cycle.
• Once a cycle is nished, the toaster will automacally return to the default seng which is for
general bread toasng condion, and the user should select the desired funcon(s) again for
the next use.
• The high-li facility lever makes it easier to remove the toast. When the toasng is complete,
press the carriage lever upwards and safely take out the bread.
• Beware of the hot surface when removing the toast.
Note: you can wrap the power cord around the base situated under the appliance, for storage, or if
the cord is too long.

por niños o cerca de estos.
10. Desenchufe la tostadora del tomacorriente cuando no esté en uso y deje que se
enfríe antes de limpiarla. Deje enfriar el aparato antes de insertar o sacar accesorios.
11. No ulizar ningún electrodomésco con un cable de alimentación o un enchufe
dañado, ni después de un funcionamiento incorrecto, o si ha sufrido una caída
o daños de cualquier po. Devolver este aparato al centro de servicio técnico
autorizado más cercano para su revisión, reparación o ajuste.
12. El uso de accesorios no recomendados por el fabricante del aparato puede
resultar en un incendio, descargas eléctricas o lesiones a las personas.
13. No ulizar al aire libre ni con nes comerciales.
14. No dejar que el cable eléctrico cuelgue sobre el borde de una mesa o
mostrador, ni que toque supercies calientes, incluyendo hornillas.
15. No colocar el aparato sobre una hornilla de gas o eléctrica, ni en un horno o
microondas caliente.
16. Para desconectar, extraiga el enchufe del tomacorriente.

18. Sea extremadamente cuidadoso al tostar panes que contengan grasas o
azúcares, pues pueden quemarse. Si el pan humea, pulse el botón CANCELAR
o use una opción de tostado más baja para evitar que se queme.
19. No ulizar el aparato para un uso que no sea el previsto. No trate de despegar comida
adherida a la tostadora mientras ésta esté enchufada.

Este aparato está equipado con un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es más ancha que la otra).
Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este enchufe entra en el tomacorriente polarizado
en un solo sendo. Si el enchufe no entra completamente en el tomacorriente, gire el enchufe.
Si aun así no encaja, contacte a un técnico electricista competente. No intente modicar el
enchufe de ninguna manera.

Se proporciona un cable de alimentación corto para reducir los riesgos de que se enrede o
tropiece con un cable largo. Los cables de extensión pueden usarse si se ene cuidado en su uso.
• La clasicación eléctrica del cable de extensión debe ser al menos igual a la del aparato. Si
la clasicación eléctrica del cable de extensión es demasiado baja, este podría recalentarse e
incendiarse.
• El cable extendido resultante debe colocarse de manera que no cuelgue del mostrador o mesa
en donde los niños pudieran halarlo o tropezar con él.

IMPORTANTE
Durante los primeros minutos de funcionamiento inicial, quizá se advierta algo de humo y/o un
ligero olor. Esto es normal y se disipará rápidamente. No volverá a suceder después de usar el
aparato unas pocas veces.
1. Inserte las rebanadas de pan.
2. Seleccione la opción de tostado deseada.
3. Presione hacia abajo la palanca de carga completamente, la palanca se enganchará en su posición.
4. Tras la nalización de cada ciclo de tostado, el pan saltará automácamente y el aparato se
apagará.
5. Extraiga con cuidado el pan de la tostadora.
NOTA: Todos los pos de pan se pueden ulizar para tostar, pero las rebanadas no deben ser
demasiado nas ni demasiado gruesas. El pan fresco y el pan moreno y grueso requieren más empo
de tostado que el pan seco; je la opción de tostado del aparato con esto en mente.
Funciones de la tostadora
TOSTAR: Esta es la opción predeterminada para el pan en general. Sólo ajuste el grado de tostado y
presione hacia abajo la palanca para encender la tostadora.
BAGEL (ROSQUILLA): Esta función es úl para las rosquillas, panecillos ingleses o pan integral
moreno. Pulse el botón de bagel (rosquilla), ajuste al grado de tostado de su preferencia y presione
la palanca hacia abajo para encender la tostadora.
CANCEL (CANCELAR): Si desea dejar tostar durante un ciclo, sólo ene que pulsar el botón de
cancelar y la tostadora hará saltar el pan inmediatamente.

Almacenamiento
1. Antes de limpiar, desenchufe el aparato y espere a que se enfríe completamente. No trate de
despegar comida adherida a la tostadora mientras ésta esté enchufada.
2. Limpie el cuerpo de la tostadora con un paño suave. Si es necesario, ulice un paño ligeramente
húmedo (que no esté mojado).
3. No sumerja ninguna parte del aparato en agua y nunca use limpiadores abrasivos ni estropajos
para limpiar el aparato.
4. Esta tostadora cuenta con una bandeja para las migas que debe vaciarse al menos una vez a la
semana para reducir al mínimo la acumulación de migas de pan tostado y otros desechos.
5. Agarre el asa y extraiga la bandeja para las migas. Después de vaciar las migas, reponga la bandeja
antes del próximo uso de la tostadora.
6. Limpie la bandeja para migas con un paño húmedo y luego vuelva a colocarla en el aparato.
7. Nunca use el aparato sin la bandeja para migas en su posición.
8. Guarde la unidad en un lugar limpio y seco.
9. Cualquier otro servicio debe realizarse por un representante de servicio autorizado.
NO SUMERJA EL APARATO, EL CABLE DE ALIMENTACIÓN O EL ENCHUFE EN AGUA O
CUALQUIER OTRO LÍQUIDO.
Consejos útiles
• Para cambiar la selección el usuario debe presionar el botón Cancel (cancelar) y volver a
seleccionar la función deseada.
• Las funciones seleccionadas se cancelarán automácamente si la palanca de carga no se presiona
hacia abajo en unos 10 segundos.
• Unos 10 segundos después de presionar la palanca de carga hacia abajo, las funciones
seleccionadas se jarán automácamente. El selector del grado de tostado sólo funcionará cuando
se ajuste a un nivel de tostado más bajo. Esta caracterísca de seguridad evita que el empo de
tostado se prolongue excesivamente con cada ciclo.
• Una vez que el ciclo acabe, la tostadora volverá automácamente al ajuste predeterminado, que
es el de tueste de pan de caracteríscas generales, y el usuario podrá seleccionar la función deseada
para el siguiente uso.
• La palanca de carga con función de elevación hace que sea más fácil sacar el pan tostado. Cuando
nalice el tostado, presione la palanca de carga hacia arriba y saque el pan de manera segura.
• Tenga cuidado con la supercie caliente al rerar el pan tostado.
Nota: puede enroscar el cable alrededor de la base debajo del aparato, para guardarlo, o si el cable
es demasiado largo.
