1. Introduction
RRAM-MCT/D20 is a IP audio signal digitizer, equipped with two audio inputs
an one output for loudspeaker. Microphone RRAS-GNM/A can be connected
stright to this digitizer.
Device is supplied from factory only with loader. Before first use must be loaded
an user application into device.

According to EN 61373 standard, the equipment is classified in terms of vibrations
into Category 1, Class B (mounting to vehicle body).
Permissible supplying voltage drop-outs duration: max 10 ms (Class S2 according to
Chapter 3.1.1.2 of EN 50155 ed. 3).
For supply voltage switching are permissible conditions of C1 and C2 Class.
The equipment meets the SWSIL0 classification according to EN 50128 Railway

4. Power supply
The IP microtelephone RRAM-MCT/D20 can be powered by 24 V DC vehicle
onboard network.

5. Digital inputs
IP microtelephone unit has two digital inputs intended for unit configuration.
Their meaning is given by user application.

By coupling terminals AD1 and AD2 with common terminal COM is the input
activated. The not-connected input is inactive.

6. Connecting a microphone
The microphone is connected to IP microtelephone unit through D-sub DE-9
connector. Microphone itself is not supplied together with microtelephone unit, it
must be ordered separately.

6.1. Wiring of interconnection cable
The interconnection cable must be shielded.

7. Output for loudspeaker
To the IP microtelephone unit can be attached an auxiliary loudspeaker for
silent monitoring and sound indication. Style of loudspeaker support depends
on used application.

8. Sound input
To the IP microtelephone unit can be connected a source of sound signal.
Support of this input depends on used application.

The sound signal is connected through standard BNC connector.

9. Ethernet
The Ethernet interface connector is located on the microtelephone unit front
side. LED indicators are located next to Ethernet connector.

Activity of Ethernet line is indicated by LEDs (LNK and ACT) next to Ethernet
connector. The SPD LED indicates attaching of 100 Mbps Ethernet network
cable, while ACT LED when blinking, indicates transmitting or receiving of data.
Details about Ethernet network are stated in Application Note AP0037.

10. Configuration
10.1. The RESTORE button
Factory setting of IP microtelephone unit is activated by pressing the button
RESTORE on the front panel while unit powering is switched on. The small
button can be pressed by blunt tiny stick like ballpoint refill etc. Release the
buuton after triple LED blink.

11. Mounting
IP microtelephone unit RRAM-MCT/D20 is designed to mount into distributor.
Unit is fastened by four M4 screws.
11.1. Installation rules
Technical parameters of IP microtelephone unit are warranted only when this
wiring principles are applied.
Connect the PE terminal of X2 connector to the vehicle frame with as low as
possible impedance.
For service and when utilized within the distributor frame can be used an
unshielded cable (UTP patch cable). Apply the STP cabling for permanent use
outside the distributor frame.
