The AXB-EM232 Enhanced Master/RS-232 Controller combines Axcess
Master processing with one RS-232/422/485 and one RS-232 control port
into a single compact enclosure. It is ideal for systems that need the full
power of AMX Axcess programming but few control ports.
As an exhibit controller, the AXB-EM232 can execute pre-timed shows from
two laserdisc players, or trigger presentations from switches or motion sen-
sors (using the eight-input AXP-CPI8 Custom Panel Interface).
The AXB-EM232 can also act as a central coordinator in distributed, multi-
room systems. For example, a number of rooms can be served by a
Television Manager, a four-Port IR/Serial Controller and IR wireless panels,
all connected to the same AXLink data/power bus.

AXB-EM232 INTERFACE
•Acts as AXlink Central Controller with onboard Motorola®
M68340 Master processor
•Stores Axcess application programs in battery-backed 64K
memory, upgradable to 256K
•Extends control, using AXlink CardFrames, Bus Controllers, and
control panels via the AXlink data/power bus
•Controls up to two data-driven sources from internal RS-232, RS-
422, and RS-485 ports
•Supports 300–38,400 baud transmission rates and data commu-
nication parameters
•Mounts into a 19.0" rack using the optional AC-RK Accessory
Rack Kit, or operates as a free-standing unit
