LIGHTING THE WAY

includes the popular Lutron Vareo-Style Local Lighting Controls (Dimmers
and Switches). The AMX Inconcert With Lutron Network Lighting Solution
delivers truly seamless integration between AMX Control Systems and
lighting systems throughout commercial and residential installations.
TOTAL PACKAGE
The AMX Network Lighting Solution offers everything necessary to outfit
alighting installation, including Vareo Dimmers and Switches in standard
single, two, three and four gang boxes. The D48 Dimmer Interface is
available exclusively from AMX.
LUTRON LIGHTING CONTROLS
The AMX Network Lighting Solution integrates Lutron’s Vareo-Style
Dimmers/Switches that are used in both localized and optimized lighting
control designs. These lighting controls function much like standard
dimmers and switches, yet come with an integral microprocessor that
allows them to be incorporated into a lighting control system.

MOUNTING
•Controls mount in standard U.S. wallboxes. For easier
installation, Lutron recommends using 3-1/2" (89mm)
deep wallboxes.
GANGING
•When ganging Vareo-Style Local Lighting Controls, it
is necessary to remove side fins and to derate the
control.
VERTICAL SPACING
•If mounting one control above another, leave at least
4-1/2" (11.4cm) vertical spacing between them.
LOW-VOLTAGE PRE-WIRING
• 1 pair twisted shielded #18-22 AWG (0.5-1.0mm) Class
2or Class 3 wiring.
WIRING CONFIGURATION
•Daisy-chain, star, T-tap, home run. Link terminator not
required. Total length of wire on any Dimmer Interface
bus cannot exceed 500 ft. (150m) Maximum of 4
devices per Dimmer Interface bus.
LOW-VOLTAGE CONNECTIONS
•Butt-splice (provided).
ADDRESSING
•Address via DIP switch located on front of unit
underneath the wallplate. The device may be
addressed without removing it from the wall.
AUXILIARY CONTROLS
•Use only Lutron Auxiliary Tapswitches (model # VETS-
R); mechanical 3- or 4-way switches will not work. Up
to 9 VETS-R Auxiliary Tapswitches may be used with
one Vareo-Style Local Dimming or Switching Control.
