When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precauons should
always be followed, including the following;
• This appliance is intended for indoor, household use. Unintended
use or operaon may result in personal injury, damage to property
or damage to the appliance that will void the warranty.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilies or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision and/or instrucon concerning safe use of the
appliance and the understanding of hazards. Children shall not play
with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children unless they are older than 8 years old and
supervised.
• Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8
years old.
• Never handle or operate any appliance with wet or moist hands.
• Do not immerse appliance, cord or plug in water or other liquids.
Take care whilst cleaning.
• If the appliance has fallen in water do not reach for it, immediately
switch the appliance o at the mains and unplug it.
• Ensure that the cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or
tripped over accidentally. Never use the cord to carry or pull the
appliance. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or
counter.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not use the appliance if it has malfunconed, been dropped or
damaged in anyway. If the unit has been damaged take the unit for
examinaon and/or repair by an authorised service agent.
• Do not aempt to open the appliance, repair or modify the
appliance, use the appliance for unintended applicaons or use
accessory aachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
Failure to follow these instrucons may result in re, electrical
shock, or risk of injury to persons.

• Do not place the appliance near a naked ame, hot gas or electric
burners, or any appliances generang heat.
• Always remove the plug safely from the socket aer use. Do not
pull from the cord.
• Ensure that all packaging is removed before use.
Appliance specic safety informaon
• Do not immerse the appliance in water, rinse under a tap or
clean in a dishwasher.
• WARNING: Do not overll.
• The uid level for the frothing and srring aachments are marked
on the inside of the heang jug.
• WARNING: Ensure the frothing and srring aachments are
securely ed.
• Do not operate the heang jug if the volume of milk is below the
minimum ll level.
• Do not leave the appliance unaended.
• Do not place ngers or utensils into the jug during operaon.
• The base of the heang jug becomes very hot. Always return the
jug to the power base rather than surfaces that may be damaged.
• The heang jug is not suitable for use in a refrigerator or freezer.
• Do not place the heang jug on or near a heated grill.
• The heang jug must only be used with the base provided.

Before rst use
• Unpack the box with care, keeping all the packaging materials unl you are
sased everything is present and in working order.
• Before using the appliance for the rst me please clean the heang jug and the
accessories, as described under the “Cleaning and Care” secon of this manual.
Choosing your whisk
The milk frother includes two dierent whisks. The funcons of these whisks is to
choose between the opon of frothing milk and the other for heang milk.
• The milk frothing whisk (9) includes a plasc housing with a metal spiral ring. Use
this to create frothed milk for beverages such as cappuccino and lae macchiato.
• The milk heang whisk (10) is slightly smaller and does not include a metal spiral
ring. Use this whisk to create heated milk for beverages such as a hot chocolate
and caè lae.

How to use
The appliance can heat milk up to 65°. Heang mes are approximate and will
depend upon the type of milk and milk temperature taken from storage.
1. Choose the correct whisk and aach to the motor drive in the base of the
heang jug. Do not operate the appliance with no whisk in place.
2. Ensure that the milk level in the heang jug is lled above the minimum level
and below the maximum level for the aachment being used. The top MAX line
is for heang milk, the boom MAX line is for frothing milk. Do not overll.
3. Close the lid and ensure that it is fully sealed.
Please note: The milk frother will need approximately 2-3 minutes between uses
before it can be used again. Allow the thermostat to reset before frothing or
heang more milk. Always rinse and dry between each use to remove the milk
deposits.
Frothing and heang or heang only
• Once the suitable whisk has been ed, pour in the desired amount of milk,
ensuring it is above the minimum and below the maximum line for the desired
aachment. (See table on page 5).
• Ensure that the lid is securely ed and begin by pressing the ON buon. The
blue and red indicators will illuminate. When the milk is frothed or properly
heated, the blue light will automacally switch o. When the red light begins
ashing, it indicates the milk is ready for use.
• To stop the cycle at any me, press on the ON/OFF buon.
Frothing only
This funcon is ideal for creang cold frothed milk for beverages such as cold
coees and iced laes.
• Select the frothing whisk and aach it to the motor drive.
• Pour in the desired amount of milk, ensuring it is above the minimum and below
the maximum line for the aachment.
• Ensure that the lid is securely ed and begin by pressing the ON buon. The
blue indicator will illuminate and the whisk will begin to rotate. When the milk is
frothed the blue light will automacally switch o. When the red light begins
ashing, it indicates the milk is ready for use.
• To stop the cycle at any me, press on the ON/OFF buon.
Please note: The appliance will not cool the milk.
Please note: If the blue light begins ashing, there is too much milk in the appliance
and is in danger of malfunconing. Turn the appliance o at the socket and pour
out the milk unl it is at the designated, suitable level.

Hints and ps
• If adding the frothed milk to a hot drink, prepare the beverage such as coee or
hot chocolate whilst the frother is in use. Serve immediately for best avour.
• When using the heat seng, the frother will heat the milk to the ideal
temperature for your coee or hot beverage without making it too hot to drink
right away.
• Avoid using anything other than milk in the frother. Add items such as
avouring, syrups, coee of hot chocolate could cause damage to the appliance.
If extra ingredients are added, ensure the appliance is cleaned immediately.
• Use whole milk (fat content >3.0%) for best results.
• Use the lid storage locaon to store the aachment not being used. The
aachments are small and can easily be lost.

Cleaning and maintenance
• Remove the plug from power supply. Remove the jug from the power base
before cleaning.
• Never immerse the jug or the base into water or hold under running water.
• This appliance and its accessories are not dishwasher safe.
Cauon: To avoid damage or scratches on the heang jug surface, do not use
abrasives or metal objects such as scouring pads or hard nylon brushes or a metal
brush.
Cleaning the lid
Remove the silicon ring and wash each piece in warm, soapy water. Dry and
reassemble for easier storage.
Cleaning the accessories
Remove from the jug. Wash with warm, soapy water. Dry and store in a safe place.
We recommend using the storage locaon on the lid.
Cleaning the body
Clean with a dry, so cloth.
Cleaning the heang jug
• Always clean immediately aer each use. Flush and clean the walls using warm
soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth. Then dry with a so cloth.
• To remove stubborn milk deposits in the heang jug and the motor drive, use
equal part soluon of bicarbonate soda and water to create a paste. Apply the
paste to the areas where the milk deposit has accumulated and leave for at least
15 minutes. The longer the soluon is le, the more eecve it will be. Rinse the
soluon out of the jug and wash with warm, soapy water.

Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the supply voltage.
WARNING! This appliance must be connected to an earthed electrical power
supply. The green/yellow conductor in the supply cord must be connected to the
Earth terminal in the plug. The power supply must have an Earth connecon.
Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the plug is
damaged, it must be replaced by a qualied electrician or a service repair centre to
avoid a hazard.
Precauons should be followed for safe cable management and connecon to the
power supply
If a new mains plug needs to be ed follow the ng instrucons supplied with
good quality BS1363A plugs. If in doubt consult a qualied electrician or appliance
repair agent.
a) Remove and safely dispose of the old plug
b) Connect the brown lead to the live terminal “L” in the new plug
c) Connect the Blue lead to the Neutral “N” terminal
d) Connect the green/yellow lead to the earth “E” terminal
Use of an extension cable is not recommended. If an extension cable is required, it
should be rated no less than 3A and be fully unwound before use to avoid
overheang. Do not connect mulple appliances to the extension cable
Do not aempt to modify electrical plugs or sockets or aempt to make an
alternave connecon to the electrical supply.

Your new Andrew James product comes with a 24 month guarantee and a 2 year
xed warranty, eecve from receipt conrmaon. Your receipt or order number is
required as proof of purchase date so it is imperave that you keep it safe. This
guarantee only applies if the item has been used solely for the use intended, and all
instrucons have been followed accordingly. Please note this product is only for
domesc use only and is not for commercial use.
Abuse of your product will invalidate the guarantee. Returned goods can only be
accepted if repackaged properly within the original colour product box, and
presented with the original receipt of sale/order number. This does not aect your
statutory rights.
Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery
condion as possible.
If your product develops a problem within the rst 12 months of the xed warranty,
we will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us. Aer 12 months the
customer will be liable for the cost of returning the product to us. We will then pay
to have the repaired/replaced item shipped back to the customer.
