Each row is one TRIM event.

You can open the Detail View
using the View menu (g. 5).
For each event the following information is
shown:
Total: The total capacity being TRIMed by this
event.
Min: The size of the smallest range in the event.
Max: The size of the smallest range in the event.
Ranges: The amount of start-end ranges being
TRIMed.
Status: The result of the TRIM command.

The capacity of any storage device is counted in
bytes.Butwedonotwanttowritedownsome-
thinglike1000000000bytes.Wewrite1Giga-
byte,andtheshorthandis1GB.Thisiscalculat-
ed in a way that everyone knows.
“Giga”is10003, so 1000000000 / 10003= 1.
However, computers work in binary and work with
“Giga”is10243.Suddenly1.0Gigabyteisthe
sameas0.93Gigabyte.Thatcannotberight.We
are using the same name for a different “unit” of
counting.
ForthisreasontheGibiBytewasintroduced,with
theshorthandGiB.Noweverythingmakessense.
1GB=1x10003= 1000000000 bytes, and
1000000000 bytes / 10243= 0.931322575
GiB.
Forhistoricreasons,muchsoftwareusesGB
insteadofGiB,anditisthereforenotclearwhichis
meant. Most modern software, however, gets it right.
