2.1. Directives
Thismachineisconstructedinaccordance withtheregulationscontainedintheconformity
andmanufacturer’sdeclarations.InadditiontothisInstructionManual,alsoobserveall
generallyaccepted,statutoryandotherregulationsandlegalrequirementsandallvalid
environmentalpretectionregulations!
Theregionallyvalidregulationsofthesocialinsurance societyforoccupationalaccidentsor
othersupervisoryorganizationsaretobestrictlyadheredto!
2.2. Generalnotesofsafety
Thismachinemayonlybeoperatedbyadequatelytrainedoperatorsandonlyafterhaving
completelyreadandunderstoodtheInstructionManual!AllNotesonSafetyandInstruction
Manualsofthemotormanufactureraretobereadbeforeoperatingthemachine!Thedanger
andsafetyinstructionsonthemachineitselfaretobefollowed!
Thismachinemayonlybeusedforthepurposeforwhichitisintendedandmaynotbe
operatedwithoutitssafetydevices.Allsafetyregulationsrelevanttoitsoperationaretobe
adheredto.
Whenexchanging sewing tools(e.g.needle,rollerpresser,needleplateandbobbin),when
threadingthemachine,whenleaving themachineunattendedandduringmaintenance work,
themachineistobeseparatedfromthepowersupplybyswitching offtheOn/Off switchor
byremoving theplug fromthemains!
Everydaymaintenance workisonlytobecarriedoutbyappropriatelytrainedpersonnel!
Repairesandspecialmaintenance workmayonlybecarriedoutbqualifedservicestaffor
appropriatelytrainedpersonnel!
Workonelectricalequipmentmayonlybecarriedoutbyappropriatelytrainedpersonnel!
Workisnotpermittedonpartsandequipmentwhichareconnectedtothepowersupply!The
onlyexceptionstothisrulearefoundintheregulationsEN50110.
Modificationsandalterationstothemachinemayonlybecarriedoutunderobservance ofall
therelevantsafetyregulations!
Onlysparepartswhichhavebeenapprovedbyusaretobeusedforrepairs!We
expresslypointoutthatanyreplacementpartsoraccessorieswhicharenotsuppliedbyus
havenotbeentestedandapprovedbyus.Theinstallationand/oruseofanysuchproductscan
leadtonegativechangesinthestructuralcharacteristicsofthemachine.Wearenotliablefor
anydamagewhichmaybecausedbynon-originalparts.

2.5.1. Operatingpersonnel
Operatingpersonnelarepersonsresponsiblefortheequipping,operatingandcleaningof
themachineaswellasfortakingcareofproblemsarising inthesewing area.
Theroperatingpersonnelisrequiredtoabservethefollowing pointsandmust:
•alwaysobservetheNotes onSafetyintheInstructionManual!
•neveruseanyworkingmethodswhichcouldadverselyaffectthesafetyofthe
machine!
•notwearloose-fittingclothing orjewelerysuchaschainsorrings!
•alsoensurethatonlyauthorizedpersonshaveaccesstothepotentiallydangerous
area aroundthemachine!
•alwaysinnediatelyreporttothepersonresponsibleanychangesinthemachine
whichmaylimititssafety!
2.5.2. Specialistpersonnel
Specialistpersonnelarepersonswithaspecialisteducationinthefieldsofelectrics,
electronicsandmechanics.Theyareresponsibleforthelubrication,maintenance,repair
andadjustmentofthemachine.
Thespecialistpersonnelisobligedtoobservethefollowing pointsandmust:
•alawaysobservetheNotes onSafetyintheInstructionManual!
•switchofftheOn/Offswitchbeforecarrying outadjustmentsorrepairs,andensure
thatitcannotbeswitchedonagainunintentionally!
•waituntil theluminousdiodeonthecontrolboxisnolongerblinking oronbefore
beginning adjustmentorrepairwork.
•neverworkonpartswhicharestillconnectedtothepowersupply!Exceptionsare
explainedintheregulationsEN50110.

Anyandallusesofthismachinewhichhavenotbeenapprovedofbythe
manufacturerareconsideredtobeinappropriate!Themanufacturercannotbe
heldliableforanydamagecausedbytheinappropriateuseofthemachine!The
appropriateuseofthemachineincludestheobservance ofalloperational,
adjustment, maintenance andrepairmeasuresrequiredbythemanufacturer!
4. DISPOSAL OFMACHINE
Caremustbetakenthatpartssoiledwithlubricantsaredisposedofseparately
accordingtothelocallyvalidpollutioncontrolregulations!
5. TRANSPORTATION, PACKINGAND STORAGE
5.1. Transportationtocustomer’s premises
Themachinesaredeliveredcompletelypacked.
5.2. Transportationinsidethecustomer’s premises
Themanufacturercannotbemadeliablefortransprotationinsidethecustomer’spremises
nottootheroperatinglocations.Itmustbeensuredthatthemachinesareonlytransported
inanuprightposition.
5.3. Disposalofpackingmaterials
Thepacking materialsofthismachinecomprisepaper,cardboardandVCEfibre.Proper
disposalofthepackingmaterialistheresponsibilityofthecustomer.
5.4. Storage
Ifthemachineisnotinuse,itcanbestoredasitisforaperiodofup tosixmonths,butit
shouldbeprotectedagainstcorrosion, e.g. byafilmofoil.
Ifthemachineisstoredforlongerperiods,theindividualparts,especiallythesurfacesof
moving parts, mustbepretectedagainstagainstcorrosion, e.g.byafilmofoil.

Themachinemustonlybeinstalledandcommissionedbyqualified
personnel!Allrelevantsafetyregulationsmustbestrictlyadheredto!Ifthe
machineisdeliveredwithoutatable,besuretouseastandandtabletop
thatcanholdtheweightofthemachinewithitsmotor.Itisveryimportant
toensurethatthestandofthemachineisfirmandstready,alsoduring
.sewing.
8.1. Installation
Thesitewherethemachineisinstalledmustbeprovidedwithsuitableconnectionsforthe
electriccurrent, see Chapter1Specifications.
Itmustalsobeensuredthatthestandingsurface ofthemachinesiteisfirmandhorizontal,
andthatsufficientlightingisprovided.
