IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the appliance directly into a 220‐240V AC
electrical outlet.
3. DO NOT use external timer, separate remote control system, and extension cable or
external adaptor with the appliance.
4. Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches
the heater on automatically, a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned
incorrectly.
5. The appliance is hot when in use. To avoid burns, DO NOT touch any hot
surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding,
papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3.3ft (1.0m) from the front of the heater
and keep them away from the sides and rear.
6. WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, DO NOT COVER the heater.
7. WARNING: DO NOT operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the
appliance malfunctions, has been DROPPED or DAMAGED in any manner.
8. To prevent a possible fire, DO NOT block air intakes or exhaust in any manner.
DO NOT use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
9. DO NOT move the appliance when it is operating. Only move the appliance
when it is cool.
10. DO NOT run cord under carpeting. DO NOT cover cord with throw rugs,
runners, or the like. Position the cord away from traffic area and where it will
not be tipped over.
11. Do not abuse or damage the power cord. Fully unwind the cord before use as a
coiled cord may overheat. Do not allow the supply cord to touch hot surfaces.
12. Discontinue use if plug or outlet is hot. It is recommended that the mains power
outlet be replaced by an electrician if plug or outlet becomes too hot to touch.
13. Connect to a suitable mains power socket, corresponding to the electrical ratings on
the heater. Do not overload the household mains power circuit.
14. This appliance is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar
locations where this it may come in contact with water. NEVER locate the heater
where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not use this heater
in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
15. Do not immerse any part of this appliance or supply cord in water. Do not use
with wet hands or use in any damp situations
16. Extreme caution is necessary when any appliance is used by, or near children
or invalids, and whenever the appliance is left operating and unattended.
17. Always unplug the appliance when not in use.

18. When unplugging, be sure to pull by the plug and not the cord.
19. DO NOT insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust vent
opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire or damage the appliance.
20. DO NOT operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the
appliance malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
21. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by qualified electrical person in
order to avoid a hazard or the heater must be disposed of.
22. The appliance has hot and sparkling parts inside. DO NOT use it in areas where
gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
23. Use appliance only for intended household use only as described in this
manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire,
electric shock, or injury to persons. The use of attachments not recommended
or sold by the manufacturer cause hazards.
24. This appliance is designed for indoors ONLY. DO NOT use outdoors.
25. To disconnect the appliance, turn controls to “OFF” (Position ‘0”) BEFORE
removing plug from mains power outlet.
26. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat
and cause a risk of fire.
27. DO NOT attempt to service this appliance yourself. Service and repairs to the item
must be done by a qualified electrical person for safety.
28. Keep this instruction with the appliance. If the appliance is to be used by a
third party, this instruction must be supplied with the item.
29. The safety instructions do not by themselves eliminate any danger completely,
proper accident prevention measures and common sense must always be used.
30. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (INCLUDING CHILDREN) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
31. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
32. Heater must not be located immediately below a socket‐outlet.
33. NO liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non‐compliance with
these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
34. The safety fireguard of this heater is intended to prevent direct access to heating
elements and must be in place when the heater is in use.
35. The safety fireguard does not provide full protection to young children and for
infirm persons.
36. Do not use this heater if there are visible signs of damage to the heater.
37. Use this heater on a horizontal and stable surface.
38. WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room
Temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by

persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant
supervision is provided.
39. WARNING: Fire risk exists if the heater is covered by or positioned close to
curtains or other combustible materials.
40. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, keep textiles, curtains, or any other
flammable material a minimum distance of 1m from the air outlet.
41. CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal
cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching
device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and
off by the utility.
IMPORTANT! This heater is equipped with a non-self resetting Overheat Protection
System. If this should happen, the heater will switch off automatically. To reset heater
simply turn the ON/OFF Control switch to OFF (0) position, unplug the heater and allow
it to cool for approximately 25 minutes. Clear any obstructions. Then plug the heater
back into mains power and turn the ON/OFF Control switch back to ON (I or II).

NOTE: Confirm all parts before disposing of carton. Safely dispose of all plastic bags
and other packaging components. They may be potentially dangerous to children.
ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION
•Ensure the ON/OFF control is in OFF (position ‘0’) position before connecting to mains
power.
•Make sure the plug and cord are not damaged in any way.
•Insert the plug into a wall socket with correct power output, 220‐240V AC 50Hz.
•Turn ON/OFF switch to either:
‐ “ ” for Fan Only
‐ “I” for Low Heat
‐ “II” for High Heat
NOTE: When the heater is switched ON, the red power indicator light will turn ON (make
sure to turn the temperature control setting pass the midpoint, selecting a lower setting
will not turn the heater ON).
•The adjustable thermostat can be used to finely regulate the temperature. Turn the
temperature control setting to maximum ( ) to increase temperature and turn to
minimum( ) to decrease temperature. The heater will turn ON and OFF to maintain the
desired heat setting.
IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURES
Your heater is equipped with an Overheat Protection System. When the threshold
temperature has been reached, your heater will turn off automatically.
To reset your heater when the Overheat Protection System has been activated, perform
the following steps:
•Turn the “ON/OFF Control switch” to the OFF (0) position.

•Disconnect the power cord from the mains electrical power outlet.
•Ensure that both the intake and the exhaust vents are clear of obstructions.
•Allow your heater to cool down for approximately 25 minutes.
•Plug your heater back into mains power, the heater should resume normal
operation.
NOTE: There is a tip over switch attached to the base of the heater. If the heater is not
placed on a flat surface or it is knocked over, the power to the heater will shut down
automatically.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning
‐When not in use or before cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the
mains supply.
Cleaning
‐Cleaning can only be done when the unit is cooled. Do not immerse the whole unit in
water or other liquid. Do not use harsh solvents on this unit.
‐ Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Dry the unit completely with a
dry towel.
Damage check
‐Always check that the appliance is not damaged, is in good working order and
that all parts are secure. Check the power supply cord and plug regularly for
cuts or damage. For safety purposes, DO NOT use the heater if damage is found.
Store in a safe place
‐When not in use, store your appliance and the instructions manual together in
a safe and dry place.
NOTE: Always clean and store away your appliance with this instruction manual
when not in use.

Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and
compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled
to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and
the failure does not amount to a major failure.
For New Zealand customers, this warranty is in addition to statutory rights observed
under New Zealand legislation.
