Safety regulations
General
Be sure to read these warnings and regulations carefully prior to putting the
device into operation. Keep the manual at a safe place for future reference.
Improper use, unauthorised removal of covers, incorrect installation or opera-
tion leads to the risk of serious personal injury or material damage. Follow the
directions of this manual and proceed in accordance with all the generally rec-
ognized regulations of technology. All work relating to installation, commission-
ing, operation and maintenance must be carried out by qualified technicians
(IEC 60364, VDE0105).
Installation and commissioning
The device must be protected from improper stress. This electrical equipment
is a component with a IP00 degree of protection designed to be integrated into
electrical installations or machinery. An adequate protection against contact
must be ensured. All conductors leading to the device must be operated on the
same power supply. An external, clearly visible shut-off device must be in-
stalled and labelled accordingly.
1. Switch off the power supply and secure against unintentional restart.
2. Ensure proper and professional wiring according to the schematics.
3. Do not attempt to carry out any modifications or repair on the device.
4. Prevent any foreign objects from entering the device.
5. Do not operate the device in a humid environment.
Maintenance and repair
Electrical equipment generally requires no special maintenance, however, it
must be protected (to degree of protection) against dust deposit, humidity, ra-
diation and aggressive chemicals. If damage or malfunction should occur dur-
ing operation, immediately turn power off and send unit to the factory for in-
spection.
Disposal
Dispose of the equipment in line with the current regulations and according to
its type, e.g. electronic scrap (circuit boards), plastic (housing).
Installation
The AS1210 is snap-mounted onto a DIN or C- rail.
The AS1210 has connectors for power supply on both sides, U+ and U-.
These are connected internally and may be used as required. It can also be
used as a junction box.

Description
The signal lamps H are designed for fault indicators. As soon as a signal input
appears, the respective signal lamp lights up, the optional buzzer and relay are
activated. The connected user, e.g. a horn or a lamp, remains activated until
the QT button is pressed. The same process occurs with each new alarm in-
put, even if other alarms are still pending. Pulse-type alarms are also detected,
and the relay is latched until acknowledgement is made. Connecting and
pressing the LT button activates all signal outputs.

Description
The signal lamps H are designed for operation indicators. As soon as a signal
input disappears, the respective signal lamp turns off, the optional buzzer and
relay are activated. The connected user, e.g. a horn or a lamp, remains acti-
vated until the QT button is pressed. The same process occurs with each new
alarm input, even if other alarms are still pending. Pulse-type alarms are also
detected, and the relay is latched until acknowledgement is made. Connecting
and pressing the LT button activates all signal outputs.

LED is blinking: System activated
LED lit up: Relay activated
