assistance to people with reduced mobility in your pool and we thank you for it.
Your device has been designed, manufactured and controlled with the utmost care to give you
complete satisfaction.
To guarantee a safe use, with peace of mind, we strongly recommend that you read the operating
instructions before using it for the first time.
You will find all the necessary information so that your staff and the public who benefit from it will
benefit from safe and optimal use together.
For more information, your dealer will advise you on the use, care and maintenance of your truck.

Security
•Do not leave within the reach of a child alone. The child must be supervised by a
responsible adult.
•Do not ride less than 1m parallel to one side of the pool.
•Do not leave the truck unattended.
•Never put the cart at the water's edge without the brake pad or a hard edge of minimum
35mm high and 50mm long.
•Do not leave a person in the middle position without a staff member.
•Never try to repair one of the straps.
•Never put your hands on the moving parts (pantograph, seat, ...) during the phase of
putting or leaving water.
•Never unroll the straps completely: always keep a minimum turn (red mark on maximum
unwinding strap).
•Keep hands out of the system of straps and winches.
•Under no circumstances should you pull the strap, it is to be used only with the winch.
•When handling, pay attention to the forces, position yourself sideways and use both
hands if necessary.
•The safety winch is an emergency device. It is only intended in case of engine trouble to
overcome the problem of the electric cylinder (No in case of battery discharge problem).
•Keep your hands outside the cylinder system and pantographs.
•Keep all electrical, electronic or power source (battery) equipment out of water range.

1 – Maintenance and wearing parts
A –Maintenance to be done on the device
Regular maintenance is to be observed on your device:
Daily: - Check the correct operation of the roulette brakes.
- Check the good condition and proper operation of the electric cylinder.
- Check the battery charge, no audible "beep", meaning a battery below 20% capacity, when
connecting / raising the "red" stop button on the device.
Weekly: Visual inspection of the axes, cylinder and electrical cables which must remain clean, without
deformation, without leakage of oil or grease and without interruption in the electric cables.
Monthly: Check the good condition of the axes of rotation of the arms.
Annual: See the maintenance plan.
B–Security
Votre appareil doit être utilisé suivant une procédure décrite dans la partie correspondante.
De plus cet appareil doit également toujours être utilisé avec le respect de quelques notions
importantes et que nous indiquons ici regroupées :
•The device must always be put in place with the brake pad unless there is a step of
more than 35mm high and at least 50mm from the edge of the basin justifying a
sufficient stop. The brake pad should be placed in alignment with the pond wall.
•Before any use with a person, check that the battery is sufficiently charged, disengage
the push button, press the remote control, if a sound "beep" this product regularly, then the
battery is discharged to less than 20% of its capacity , do not use the device in this case and
put it in charge.
•Never remove counterweights put in place at the factory or by a person authorized by
Hexagone.
•If the emergency winch is used, in the event of a motor problem (and not a battery),
always wind up by turning the winch crank clockwise (unless the hexagon use of
reverse direction winch). When mounting it is imperative to hear the "click" of the
winch brake.
•When using the emergency winch, never unroll the strap more than the red stop
mark.
•Never use the device in case of deterioration on the axes holding the cylinder or the
cylinder itself.

2 – Use – Procedure
A - Getting started and counterweight
1) Product overview
The UNI-KART lift is a lifting system designed to allow people with physical or mobility impairments to
access a large part of the pools.
HEXAGONE MANUFACTURE designed this system and it is necessary to follow all instructions
contained in the user manual. This ensures safe, reliable and correct operation of the lift and thus
prevents injury.
This design ensures smooth and safe operation and minimizes maintenance issues. The UNI-KART is
designed to provide a certain flexibility for nautical establishments seeking to provide access to more
than one pool and / or to meet the needs of users wishing to enter or leave a pool at different locations.
The UNI-KART has a maximum lifting capacity of 136 kg.
2) Terms of use
UNI-KART must be used on a rigid surface. The slope of the beach must not be greater than 2 °.
The seat can not be placed above the vacuum (no more than 50cm), an empty basin, or more than
50cm from the surface of the water. Unless specific conditions to report us.
UNI-KART is designed to transfer users from the beach around the pool to the water and vice versa. It
is not designed to transport people from one place to another.
Public pouvant profiter de l'UNI-KART :
The user should have consulted a physician to determine if aquatic activities are permitted and to use
UNI-KART.

The person must be of maximum weight of 136 kg.
It is recommended :
•Persons with reduced or no mobility at or above the shoulder should wear the stabilizing vest
(optional: delivered to order) when using the patient lift.
•Rinse the seat with clean water after each use and clean daily with a disinfectant solution
containing bleach diluted in clear water (1/100). Then rinse with clear water.
In the event of contamination by patient / user excrement, clean the seat with a disinfectant solution as
indicated above.
Do not use the seat, seat belt, or stabilizing vest if they are damaged or worn.
Do not use the appliance if it is damaged (parts broken, bent, other ...).

3) Countersweights
Your device has been delivered with a quantity of counterweight depending on the length of the
pantograph arms. It is imperative to leave the amount of initial counterweight on the device. Any
lack of counterweight makes the device unusable. During the maintenances of your device our
technicians will be able to control the good presence of adapted counterweights.
B - Daily use of launching
1) Transfer of person
•Lock both rear brakes at the time of transfer. Do not unlock the rear wheels during a transfer as
the lift may move and cause injury.
•Lift 1 or 2 stabilizing arms / armrests according to the need of the person.
•Keep your fingers and hands away from the 2 masts of the lift during use.
•Raise or lower the seat to the correct height for transfer.
•Pass the user onto the seat, making sure his body is centered on the seat.
•Swivel down the stabilizer arms / armrests.
•Fasten the belt.
•If the user has a wheelchair, keep it nearby for easy retrieval.
2) Bassin approach
•Go to the place of launching after placing the brake pad.
•Do not skirt the pool within 1m of the edge of the pool and the beach does not exceed 2 °
inclination. Position the Unikart on the brake pad arriving directly on.
•Lock the 2 rear wheel brakes once the unit is correctly seated.
•Keep your fingers and hands away from the 2 masts of the lift during use.
•The person is ready to be launched.
3) Descent into the water
WARNING ! Before each use check that the charge level is sufficient for the use of the device. If
a beep sound occurs when pressing the button on the remote control, the battery is less than
20% discharged, do not use the device and charge it.
Lower the seat into the water using the remote control / or control box (with battery) by pressing the
down arrow button.
Once the person is deep enough into the water, detach the seat belt by pulling on the end of the belt.

4) Daily use of water outlet
•Place the brake pad at the location chosen for the exit.
•Position the trolley on the desired location.
•Lock both rear brakes.
•The user returns to the seat.
•Raise the seat using the electric cylinder by pressing the button with the rising arrow on the
remote control or the control box with the battery.
WARNING ! Before each use check that the charge level is sufficient for the use of the device. If
a beep sound occurs when pressing the button on the remote control, the battery is less than
20% discharged, do not use the device and charge it.
•Raise the user to the desired transfer height.
Keep your fingers and hands away from the 2 masts of the lift during use.
5) Distance from the pool
•Fasten the belt.
•Release the 2 brakes and pull the carriage backwards.
•Go to the place of recovery of the chair or removal of the person.
•Do not skirt the pool less than 1m from the edge and a beach that does not exceed 2 ° inclination.
•Keep your fingers and hands away from the 2 masts of the lift during use.
6) Transfer of person
•Lock both rear brakes at the time of transfer. Do not unlock the rear wheels during a transfer as
the lift may move and cause injury.
•Lift 1 or 2 stabilizing arms / armrests according to the need of the person

•Raise or lower the seat to get the proper height for transfer.
•Detach the belt.
•Move the user from the seat to the chair or let him down.

3 – Your guarantee
A - Conditions
We guarantee that all equipment is technically flawless and free from defects in material or workmanship
and that it corresponds to the evolution of the technique and the rules of the art in force at the time of
its placing on the market. Subsequent technological changes made to our products, due to technological
progress, can not give rise to an intervention on our part.
The warrantyis limited to the repair or replacement of the appliance, if a lack of conformityis recognized.
The choice of the solution is left to our initiative, knowing that no implementation of the guarantee can
not be superior to the direct damage suffered, and could not lead to unreasonable costs borne by the
seller or the manufacturer.
The warranty is automatically canceled if the device has undergone the intervention of a third party,
outside our workshops or a repairer not approved by us, or if changes have been made without our
written consent. The guarantee is also canceled by right in case of use or maintenance not in conformity
with the instructions of use accompanying the device at the time of its purchase.
Any legal guarantee such as that described in article 1641 of the Civil Code applies. Any text that would
come into force after the publication of this warranty, and whose terms would be of public order, would
apply automatically even if it is different from these.
Are excluded from the guarantee:
•Replacement of wear parts such as shafts, webbing..
•The breakage due to shocks.
•Any failure relating to the replacement of parts without the original parts.
•Problems with non-compliance with the instructions in the user's manual.
•The battery is guaranteed for 3 months, then between 3 months and 12 months in
proportion to the time elapsed.
Under no circumstances may repair or replacement under the warranty extend or renew the warranty
period of the device.
B - Duration of the guarantee
The warranty period is 2 years or 4,000 cycles from the date of invoice to the first user subject to sending
to the manufacturer of the warranty card of the device as well as the purchase invoice of the customer.

C - Purpose of the guarantee

The immobilisation and the deprivation of enjoyment of an apparatus in case of possible repair can not
give rise to allowances. In any case, the legal warranty of the seller continues to apply under Article 4
of Decree No. 78-464 of March 24, 1978.
D - Transport damage
The devices always travel at the risk of the recipient. It is up to him, before taking delivery of the
device, to check that it is in perfect condition. Our responsibility can not be engaged on this subject.
E - Conformity

The product has been tested under normal conditions of use.

5 - Montage de démarrage de l’Unikart Motorisé
1) WARNING !! When unpacking, carefully hold the seat before cutting the plastic film. Because
the seat is not held by the jack it would fall to the ground.
2) Open the packaging and check the condition of the device. ATTENTION read the complete
assembly instructions.
3) WARNING !! When opening the device, the seat is not attached to the cylinder, it can fall.
Keep it in position when unpacking and lay it gently on the ground.
4) To fix the cylinder go down (with the remote control) this one and to center the second hole
of the pantograph with the hole of the jack. ATTENTION to the friction or fall of these parts.
5) Once the two pieces center pass the handle with the two largest stainless steel spacers
outside the cylinder and the thinnest in the middle of the cylinder. Screw the knurled knob.
6) Raise the cylinder and the seat with the remote control.
7) Place the 180 kg weight evenly distributed on the three bars at the rear of the unit (12 disks
per bar).
8) Your device is ready for use.

6 - PROCEDURE FOR USING MOTORIZED UNIKART:
A - Use
WARNING ! It is very important that the battery is charged before use! Do not use the device if it
"beeps" (battery discharged).
IN NO EVENT SHOULD THE SAFETY WINCH BE USED FOR BATTERY CHARGE DEFICIENCY. In option is
available a wall charger with battery for bearing the problem of battery charge (Ref: EEV0001N000 +
EEV0002N000, ask a quote to our sales department).
Place the carpet flat for Unikart, stick it to the edge of the pool.
1) Check that there is enough battery to put the person (s) in the water (when the battery is
fully charged you can use the device 20 times to go up and down). If the battery is not charged
("beep" sound) do not use the device, may block the person on the device!
Note: When the device "beeps", the battery is discharged, do not use the device before it is
fully charged, about 10 hours of charge.
2) Position the device in front of the carpet (basin side seat).
3) Place the person on the device. Remember to raise the armrests to facilitate the transfer of
the person and to tighten the brake on each rear wheel. Before putting the person on the
device, thank you to check his body weight and that the counterweights are in place!
4) Release the brakes, then move the unit forward to put both front wheels on the mat (in the
spaces provided). Stall the device at the bottom of the carpet.
5) Press the two brakes of the rear wheels, these two brakes must be obligatorily interlocked.

6) Unlock the emergency stop button on the control box if it is switched on.
7) You can now use the device with the remote control or the buttons on the control box. Down
arrow to descend and up arrow to mount the person.
8) For the exit of the person and the device to think well to check that the device is sufficiently
raised to not hurt the feet of the person with the wall of the swimming pool, the ground or the
apparatus. Check in the same way as for the input that the battery is sufficiently charged to
handle the device!
9)
Council: Plan to charge the device before each use (At least 10h). The battery that is not used
is discharging by itself little by little.

B –Refill
For a full charge of the device, charge the device about 10h.
To avoid damaging the battery, it is important that it is regularly recharged (approximately once a
month for 24 hours) even if it is not used.
To recharge the battery, connect the wall charger to the control box and connect directly to the mains
.
WARNING ! Do not throw the battery or control box in the water! Do not drop water on it!
The remote control is waterproof to a depth of 1 meter, CAUTION not to exceed this depth to keep
the seal on the remote control.
Council : Keep the cylinder as dry as possible, if splashes reach the cylinder, try to wipe it as
much as possible. The cylinder is made of marine grade stainless steel and waterproof,
however in a constant environment of high humidity and over time, it could be damaged if it
is not maintained (washed, rinsed and dried, see instructions) of Stainless Steel).

C - Remove the battery
If you have a battery wall charger for our device (Option) and a spare battery (Option), you can remove
the battery from the control box. If this is the case, before each refitting of the battery, dry it well with
a cloth, as well as the control box, so that as little water or moisture as possible can infiltrate. Same
thing when you remove it.
To remove the battery press the metal tab on the top and pull vertically. It will naturally defeat by
pivoting on the back.
WARNING ! This part of the battery is heavy, keep it well and do not drop it!

7 - USE OF THE SECURITY WINCH:
WARNING ! This safety winch is not to be used in case of battery discharge (check the
condition of the battery before each use) but only during a mechanical problem of the
system (breakage of cylinder, jamming of the system ...). During non-extreme blocking
(completely down or fully assembled). THIS WINCH IS FOR EXTREME EMERGENCY USE, IF
NO OTHER SOLUTION IS POSSIBLE.
Council : If the person can get out of the seat, it is preferable that the person goes down before the
procedure, which will simplify it and allow to reassemble the device.
Follow the instructions carefully and in any case pay attention to the person in the device, if this
person can not go out.
To perform this procedure we impose to perform it with a minimum of two people.
The first remaining behind the Unikart holding the device and handling the winch all along the
procedure. The second deals with manipulations on the device (strap, braiding, axes, knurled buttons
...) throughout the procedure.
Read the whole procedure for all concerned before doing it!
1) Unscrew the knurled knob that holds the winch strap.
2) Remove the handle and hold the strap.
3) Unwind the winch strap (turn counterclockwise when facing the crank) the strap must be
unwound at least 3m to be braided. WARNING ! Do not use the strap otherwise than with
this braiding!

4) Braiding :
a. Go over the axis of the frame.
b. Pass below the highest (A) of the two axes attached to the pantograph and above the
second (lowest / B) pass the strap next to the cylinder on the crank side of the safety
winch.
c. Go on the axis holding the seat and cross all the axes until the last downhill.

d. Pull the strap up to the pins under the safety winch (go under the two axes of the
pantographs and on the same side of the jack).
e. Go under all axes until the last going back.
f. Pull the strap up to the pins on the piece holding the seat (go under the axes of the
pantographs and on the same side of the cylinder always staying on the second pass).
g. Place the strap in front of the highest hole and pass the axle through the loop of the
strap. Screw the knurled knob on the axle.
