PLATINUM SERIES
QUARTZ GLASS HEATER
1 2
1. Always disconnect the heaters power supply prior to performing any maintenance.
2. Always wait 10-15 minutes before installing or removing the heater. This allows the internal thermometer
to acclimate properly.
3. If the heater is cracked and/or has moisture inside it, disconnect it from the power supply.
4. The water level must always be maintained at the minimum water level line.
Aquatop’s Premium Platinum Series Quartz Heaters are made using shatter resistant quartz glass and the
analog design makes it simple to use with just the turn of a knob to adjust the temperature to your needs. Each
fully submersible heater comes with a simple to use suction cup mounting system, and are available from 50 to
400-watts for fresh and saltwater tanks of various sizes.
DANGER: To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken in the use of aquarium equipment.
For each of the following situations, do not attempt repairs yourself. Return the appliance to an authorized
service facility for service or discard the appliance.
1. A. If the appliance shows any sign of abnormal water leakage, immediately unplug it from the power source
and discontinue use.
B. Carefully examine the heater after installation. It should not be plugged in if there is water on the inside
of the glass tube. This is not intended to be wet.
C. Do not operate an appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or if it is dropped
or damaged in any manner.
D. To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet, position aquarium stand and
tank to one side of a wall mounted receptacle to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle or
plug. A “drip loop” should be arranged by the user for each cord connecting an aquarium appliance to a
receptacle or plug. The “drip loop” is that part of the cord below the level of the receptacle or the
connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent water traveling along the cord and coming in contact
with the receptacle. If the plug or receptacle does get wet,
DON’T unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies
power to the appliance. Then unplug and examine for presence of water
in the receptacle.
2. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
3. To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts or hot parts such as heaters, reectors, lamp bulbs, etc.
4. Always unplug a heater from an outlet when not in use, before removing to inspect, and before cleaning. It is
best to wait at least 15 minutes after unplugging to allow heater to cool before removing from the
aquarium. Never yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
5. Do not use an appliance for other than intended use. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by
the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition and will void the warranty.
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Ensure that the power plug is inserted securely.
2. Check that the temperature setting dial is set on the desired temperature.
3. Double check the thermometer setting on the heater by using a separate thermometer. Ensure the
separate thermometer is not near the heater. Relocate the thermometer to the opposite end of the
tank if needed.
4. Check the ambient room temperature that the tank is located in. If the room temperature is cooler
than the heater’s set temperature by 10 degrees or more, then a higher wattage heater may be needed.
• Made with shatter resistant quartz glass
• Easy to adjust top mounted thermostat
• Suction cup mounts included
• Fully submersible
• Suitable for fresh and saltwater aquariums
• Can be mounted vertically or horizontally
1. Check heater for any signs of damage before use.

3. Mount heater inside aquarium using suction cups. Choose a location with good water ow and
make note to have water level meet the minimum water level line on the heater.
4. Set heater temperature by simply turning the temperature wheel to desired temperature setting.
5. Wait at least 15 minutes before plugging in your heater.
6. Create a drip loop and then plug into electrical outlet.
