Introduction
ank you for your purchase of the Argos Technologies inSpin Magnetic Stirrer. is
unit was designed for mixing and stirring laboratory liquids, solutions and media up to
500mL. e small footprint requires little laboratory space, while the low prole allows
for easy storage between use.

Maintenance, Care and Safety Precautions
e inSpin Magnetic Stirrer contains magnets and may generate a magnetic eld. Use
caution around data storage material (including credit cards), cardiac pacemakers or any
other device that is sensitive to magnetic elds.
Safety Precautions
• When mixing or stirring liquids or solutions, wear suitable personal protection to
prevent injury from splashing of liquids, hazardous, toxic fumes or gases, or the ejection
of spin or stir bars.
• Use extra caution when mixing:
- Combustible liquids
- Flammable materials
• Only use the power supply adapter supplied with the unit.
• Do not overll mixing vessel to avoid splashing while stirring.
• Place the mixing container on the center of the top plate.
• With prolonged use, the unit may heat up.
• Discontinue use or reduce speed when:
- e mixing container moves or vibrates on the top plate.
- e unit emits a loud, audible noise during operation.
- Liquid splashes out of the mixing container.
• Clean the top plate and stir bar after each use.
Cleaning & Care
• Prior to cleaning, disconnect the power supply from the outlet.
• Clean the unit with a soft cloth and a non-corrosive liquid. Isopropyl Alcohol
can be used.
• Do not allow any liquid to get into the inSpin Magnetic Stirrer during cleaning.
• Do not submerge unit into water!
• Ensure the unit is completely dry prior to use.
• ere are no serviceable parts inside the inSpin Magnetic Stirrer.

Operating Instructions
• Place the inSpin Magnetic Stirrer on a at, stable surface.
• Connect the pin jack adapter to the inSpin base unit prior to inserting the power cord
into an electrical socket.
• Place the stir-bar into the mixing container rst.
• Fill the mixing container with the liquid to be mixed.
• Place the mixing container in the center of the inSpin Magnetic Stirrer top plate.
• Turn the unit “ON” with the On/O key.
• e initial preset speed is 15 rpm. Each time the up or down key is pressed, the speed is
increased or decreased by 15 rpm. When changing speeds, the LED light will ash.
• e speed setting will remain programmed into the unit when the unit is turned o or
unplugged.
• Spin directions can be alternated clockwise and counter clockwise by depressing the
reverse key. When selected, the reverse LED light will turn on and the spin-bar will
reverse direction every 30 seconds. e spin-bar will pause 5 seconds between each
change in direction.

Argos inSpin Magnetic Stirrer is warranted to be free of defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase, providing that:
• e unit has not been opened or attempted to be opened by the end user
• e user ensures that it has been carefully cleaned and decontaminated
• e unit has been operated according to the instructions and not in any improper way.
In order to qualify for warranty repair; the customer must return the warranty card
supplied with the unit that includes all of the information required to validate proof of
purchase. Should warranty service be required, repair or replacement will be provided by
Argos without charge. Freight shipping the unit to Argos will be the responsibility of the
purchaser. ere are no other warranties or guarantees, implied or otherwise expressed
including any warranties of application or merchantability.
