CHARGING AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

Arlec guarantees this product in accordance with
the Australian Consumer Law.
Arlec also warrants to the original rst purchaser
of this product (“you”) from a retailer that this
product will be free of defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of 12 months from the
date of purchase; provided the product is not
used other than for the purpose, or in a manner
not within the scope of the recommendations
and limitations, specied by Arlec, is new and not
damaged at the time of purchase, has not been
subjected to abuse, misuse, neglect or damage,
has not been modied or repaired without the
approval of Arlec and has not been used for
commercial purposes (“Warranty”).
If you wish to claim on the Warranty, you must, at
your own expense, return the product, and provide
proof of original purchase and your name, address
and telephone number, to Arlec at the address
below or the retailer from whom you originally
purchased the product within 12 months from the
date of purchase.
Arlec will (or authorise the retailer to) assess any
claim you may make on the Warranty in the above
manner and if, in Arlec’s reasonable opinion, the
Warranty applies, Arlec will at its own option and
expense (or authorise the retailer to) replace the
product with the same or similar product or repair
the product and return it to you or refund the price
you paid for the product. Arlec will bear its own
expenses of doing those things, and you must bear
any other expenses of claiming on the Warranty.
The Warranty is in addition to other rights and
remedies you may have under a law in relation to
the product to which the Warranty relates.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be
excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a
major failure and for compensation for any other
reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or
replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable
quality and the failure does not amount to a major
failure.

MAINTENANCE
The Arlec AT0012 iLantern includes 12 white LEDs. Two methods can be used to charge the
iLanetern; charging with a USB cable connector, charging with a power adaptor.
• In order to turn on/off the iLantern, touch the switch button on the front side of the iLantern
enclosure body; touch it once to turn it on and touch it twice to turn it off.
• In order to make the LED brightness dimmer touch the top face of the iLantern cap once.
Notice: Remember to charge the iLantern before usage
and before storage. The iLantern should not be stored
when it has been discharged.
If this is the rst time that you are going to use your
iLantern, you should charge it for 12 hours in order to
become fully charged. After that, charge your iLantern for
6 to 8 hours to become fully charged.
• The power adaptor has been designed to use with this iLantern only.
• Do not use the power adaptor if it has been damaged.
• Do not expose the power adaptor to rain or moisture as it is not water proof.
• Do not let children use the iLantern without adult supervision.
• When the power adaptor is not in use, disconnect it from the electric outlet.
• To avoid dust and dirt build up wipe lightly with a damp cloth as required.
• Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners on any part of your light.
Charge the iLantern
using the USB cable
connector
USB cable connector includes one USB Male
type connector at one end and one concentric
DC plug at the other end.
1. Connect the USB Male type connector to
the computer or a USB charger adaptor,
from where the iLantern can be charged.
2. Connect the concentric DC plug to
the iLantern.
3. After the iLantern has been fully charged,
disconnect the USB Male type connector
from the computer/USB charger adaptor.
4. Disconnect the concentric DC plug from
the iLantern.
Charge the iLantern
using the power adaptor
1. Connect the connector at the end of the cable attached to
the power adapter to the iLantern.
2. Connect the power adaptor to an
electrical outlet.
3. The iLantern must not be kept connected to the power
adaptor after it has been charged completely.
4. After the iLantern has been fully charged, unplug the
power adaptor from the electrical outlet and disconnect
the power adaptor from the iLantern.
