The Arlec party light set is a low voltage
light kit suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
This light kit is ideal for decorating walls,
verandas, fences or rooftops during the
festive season. The low voltage transformer
and LED lights means it is safer and more
cost effective to run the lights for longer
duration.
The Transformer
The transformer reduces the mains voltage
from 240V down to a safe low operating
voltage. The transformer is not of weather
resistant construction and can only be
housed indoors. The kit is supplied with
suitable length wire to allow use of the
lights outdoors while the transformer
remains inside under shelter.
Transformer & Kit Precautions
• Alwaysusethetransformersuppliedwith
the kit to operate it - check the labelling
on the light chain and transformer to see
that they correspond.
• Thetransformerissizedappropriatelyto
the loading of the lights, and use of an
incorrect transformer can damage the
transformer or the lights.
• DONOTattempttomodifythewiringin
the light chain or ‘cut to length’.
• DONOTtrytorunmorethanonekit
off a transformer or try to electrically
interconnect two or more transformers.
• Thetransformerwillrunwarmtotouch,
always keep it in a ventilated position; do
not cover it with carpet, soft furnishings,
etc.
• Keeptransformersand240voltwiringat
least 4 metres away from a pool or spa.
• Avoidusing‘stacked’doubleadapters;
use a power board instead to plug in
several kits.
• Ifyouuseanextensioncord,useonethe
right length for the purpose.
DONOTchainseveralextensioncords.
• Alwaysensuretheextensioncord
connections and power boards are not in
wet areas.

Warranty
Arlec guarantees this product in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.
Arlecalsowarrantstotheoriginalrstpurchaserofthisproduct(“you”)fromaretailerthatthisproductwillbefreeofdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanship
foraperiodof12monthsfromthedateofpurchase;providedtheproductisnotusedotherthanforthepurpose,orinamannernotwithinthescopeofthe
recommendations and limitations, specified by Arlec, is new and not damaged at the time of purchase, has not been subjected to abuse, misuse, neglect or
damage,hasnotbeenmodiedorrepairedwithouttheapprovalofArlecandhasnotbeenusedforcommercialpurposes(“Warranty”).
If you wish to claim on the Warranty, you must, at your own expense, return the product, and provide proof of original purchase and your name,
addressandtelephonenumber, to Arlec at the address belowortheretailerfromwhomyouoriginally purchased the product within 12 months from
the date of purchase.
Arlecwill(orauthorisetheretailerto)assessanyclaimyoumaymakeontheWarrantyin theabovemannerandif, inArlec’sreasonableopinion,the
Warrantyapplies,Arlecwillatitsownoptionandexpense(orauthorisetheretailerto)replacetheproductwiththesameorsimilarproductorrepairthe
productandreturnittoyouorrefundthepriceyoupaidfortheproduct.Arlecwillbearitsownexpensesofdoingthosethings,andyoumustbearanyother
expensesofclaimingontheWarranty.
The Warranty is in addition to other rights and remedies you may have under a law in relation to the product to which the Warranty relates.
OurgoodscomewithguaranteesthatcannotbeexcludedundertheAustralianConsumerLaw.Youareentitledtoareplacementorrefundforamajor
failureandforcompensationforanyotherreasonablyforeseeablelossordamage.Youarealsoentitledtohavethegoodsrepairedorreplacedifthegoods
fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The Lights
The globes are non replaceable LED type
but have been manufactured to last for a
longtime.Iftheglobesdonotlightupat
first turn on please return to the place of
purchase.
Handling and installing the party light
kit:
• Beforeinstallingthelightcheckifallthe
LEDs are operating, check the operation
section given below to see how to
operate the lights.
• Lightsshouldbekeptoutofreachof
small children. Although they are low
voltage children may tamper with the
lights.
• Ensurethelightchainandthe
transformer is not positioned where it
can be inadvertently damaged by doors,
moving objects, people or pets.
Avoid passing leads through doorways
and windows. The transformer supplied
with this kit is not of weather resistance
construction and can only be housed
indoors.
• Installationhooksarepre-assembled
on the globe holders to assist with
installation. The installation hooks are
placedapproximately720mmapart.
• Layoutthepartylightsetontheground
or floor underneath the intended route.
Select the most appropriate place to
supply power; make sure the transformer
is subjected to indoor conditions only.
• Marktheinstallationhookpositionsand
drillaneyeboltorsimilartypeofxing
aid(notsuppliedwiththekit).
Placetheinstallationhookoverthexing
aid. Lights are now ready for use.
• Installationhookcanberemovedif
required. Hold the hook with pliers or
similar tool and pull the hook out from the
globe holder.
• Plasticcableclipssuppliedwiththekit
can be used to secure the light chain.
Use one clip on each side of globe to
secure it in position. Additional clips
can be used at intermediate positions to
secure the cable.
• Takecareifusingladders–ensurethat
you have stable footing and do not over
reach
• Youcanrunthelightchainviaaplug
intimeswitch(ArlecPC607Series7)
so that the globes will turn on and off
automatically.
Operation:
Align the plug attached to the lead in cable
of the light chain with the socket on the
transformer and push in the plug to secure
it.
PlugInthetransformertoastandard
electricalsocketandturnONthemains
switch. The lights are ready to use.
Note: The party light kit can be installed
outdoors but the transformer supplied is
not of weather resistance construction and
must be housed inside.
CAUTION:
➢•DONOToperatetheunitinbox.
➢•Disconnectfrommainswhennotinuse.
➢•Ifinstalledoutdoorsturnoffthelightsat
thexedmainsocketoutletinrainyor
stormy weather.
➢•DONOTleaveleadslyinginwateror
wet areas.
➢•Lightchaincanbeinstalledindoorsor
outdoors but the transformer must only
be housed indoors, subjected to indoors
conditions only.
➢•DONOTexposetodirectheatorameor
submerse in water.
➢•Ifthelightkitisdamaged,lightset
should be discarded.
➢•LEDscannotbereplaced.
DONOTattempttoremovebulbs.
➢•Whileinstallingmakesurethe
lead-in wire insulation is not passed
over sharp objects which may damage
the insulation or tamper the lights.
Troubleshooting:
LEDsDONOTLightUp
➢•Checkiftheunitisconnectedtothe
mains power and is switched on.
➢•Checkiftheconnectionbetweenthe
transformer and the lead-in wire plug is
securely connected.
➢•Checkwithanotherknowworkingmains
power outlet.
