QUICK START GUIDE
QUICK START ASSEMBLY
Open camera canister
and insert camera sled
into slots. There will be an
audible click.
Plug camera USB into
back of camera, the
lens USB into the lens,
and thread each cable
through hole at bottom
of camera canister.
Attach main unit to
desired location.

QUICK START SET-UP PROCEDURE
Launch RaPTr
software
(desktop icon).
Click the Cameras tab on the software. Physically position the
camera canister so that image of pallet is visible on screen, with the
barcode to be read in roughly the middle portion of the image.
Place pallet in area where you
want to capture barcodes.
Consider approach angle and
typical distance.
Front facing barcode example
Click RaPTr logo at upper right to enter
Conguration Mode. Click Congure.
Adjust system parameters by the tab at top of screen.

In the Diagnostics tab, green bars conrm readability.
Adjust as needed. If adjusting additional settings in
the Advanced Properties tab is necessary, see Scanner
User Guide.
From the Cameras tab, click the Setup
tab underneath the image. Under Lens
Parameters, rst drag the Zoom slider to
achieve the desired eld of view (area in
which your barcodes will appear). Then,
click Auto Congure. Each parameter will
automatically adjust for a total process of
about 2 minutes.

NOTES:
• RaPTr is most eective with 2D barcodes (data matrices) and large 1D barcodes in GS1 compliance.
• Larger elds of view generally result in lower decoding performance.
Basic setup complete. To retrieve
scan data, open web browser and
type “localhost:5100.” For advanced
setup and additional information,
refer to full user guides, available via
the QR code at right.

Before returning to Automatic mode, click
Save in order for any parameters set to take
eect. A conrmation window will appear to
restart the scanner.
To congure additional cameras, select each
camera serial number from the dropdown list
(see rst circle below) and follow steps 11-13.
