◆ Operate the machine on the correct voltage.
 Alwaysusethemachineattheratedvoltageindicatedinthemachineplateor
instructionmanual.
Otherwise,themachinewilloverheat,emitsmokeorcatchre.
◆ Make sure that the switch is OFF before plugging the machine in.
 Beforepluggingthemachinein,alwaysmakesurethattheswitchisOFFtoavoid
accidentorinjury.IftheswitchisON,themachinewillstartsuddenly,leadingto
unexpectedaccident.
◆ Guard against electrical shock.
 Donottouchtheplugwithwethands.
Donotexposethemachinetorainandwater.
Alwaysgroundthemachinetoavoidelectricalshock.(Exceptthedouble-insulated
machine)
◆ Avoid dangerous environment.
 Donotexposethemachinetorainorwateranddonotuseitindamporwet
locations.Humiditywilldeterioratemotorinsulationorleadtoelectricalshock.
Donotusethemachineinthepresenceofammableliquidsorgasessuchas
gasolineandthinner.Otherwise,ignitionorexplosionmaytakeplace.
◆ Use safety goggles.
 Wearsafetygoggleswhileoperatingthemachine.Alsouseafaceordustmaskif
operationcreatesdust.Sawdustanddirtmayenteryoureyesandnose.
◆ Secure work piece.
 Useclampsoraviseasdescribedinthemanualtoholdaworkpiecesecurely.
Aninsecureworkpiecewillleadtoaccidentorinjury.
◆ Use only the specied accessories and attachments.
 Useonlytheaccessoriesandattachmentsgiveninthismanualandourcatalogs.
Afailuretodosowillleadtoaccidentorinjury.
◆ Never touch the saw blade and moving parts until you have
conrmed a complete stop.
 Thesawbladeandotherpartscoastforawhileaftertheswitchisturnedo󱐯.Never
touchthemwhiletheyaremoving.
Whenitisrequiredtotouchthesawbladeandmovingpartsforreplacement,etc.,
switcho󱐯themachineandunplugitbeforestartingtheoperation.
 Ifthemachineremainspluggedin,itwillstartsuddenly,leadingtoaccidentorinjury.

◆ Switch o󱐯 and unplug the machine in the following cases.
 ・Whennotinuseorwhenservicing,cleaning,checkingorreplacingparts.
・Whenreplacingaccessoriessuchassawblade.
・Whenhazardispredictable(includingapowerfailure).
 Ifthemachineremainspluggedin,itwillstartsuddenly,leadingtoinjury.
◆ If you feel something unusual, stop the machine immediately.
 Immediatelystopthemachineifsomethingiswrongwiththemachineoryou
havenoticedunusualsmell,vibration,soundetc.duringoperation.Referto"P.18
TROUBLESHOOTING"inthismanualandfollowthecorrespondinginstructions.
Ifyouusethemachinewithouttakinganyaction,itwilloverheat,emitsmokeortake
re,leadingtoaccidentorinjury.
 Ifthemachinehasemittedsmokeortookre,donotdisassembleitbuthaveit
inspectedorrepairedbyaqualiedperson.
◆ Keep your work area clean.
 Keepyourworkbenchandareatidyandwellit.
Clutteredareasandbenchesinviteinjury.
◆ Keep visitors away.
 Donotletvisitorstouchthemachineandpowercordoroperatethemachine.
Allvisitors,especiallychildren,shouldbekeptawayfromtheworkareatoavoid
injury.
◆ Do not force the machine.
 Usethemachinefortheintendedapplicationonly.
Itwilldoabetterjobandbesaferattherateforwhichitwasdesigned.
Forcingthemachinewillnotonlyinviteproductdamagebutalsoleadtoaccidents.
Avoidforcibleusagewhichwillcausethemotortolock.Asmokeorremayoccur.
◆ Wear proper apparel.
 Donotwearneckties,open-sleevedclothing,knittedgloves,looseclothingorjewelry
(suchasnecklaces).Otherwiseyoumaygetcaughtinmovingparts.
 Rubberglovesandnon-skidfootweararerecommendedwhenworkinginoutdoors.
Slipperyglovesandfootwearwillleadtoinjury.
 Wearcapsorprotectivehaircoveringtocontainlonghair.Otherwise,youmayget
caughtinmovingparts.
 Wearcrashhelmets,safetyshoes,etc.accordingtoyourworkingenvironment.
◆ Do not overreach.
 Keepproperfootingandbalanceatalltimes.Youmaytumbleandgethurt.
◆ Remove wrenches and other hand tools.
 Beforeturningonthemachine,makesurethathandtoolsusedforinspectionor
adjustmentareremovedfromthemachine.
Accidentorinjurymayoccurifyoustartthemachinewithhandtoolsonit.

◆ Stay alert.
 Watchwhatyouaredoingandusecommonsensewhileworking.
Carelessnesswillleadtoaccidentorinjury.
Donotoperatethemachinewhenyoucannotconcentrateonyourwork,e.g.when
youaretiredorwhileundertheinuenceofalcohol,medicationordrugs.Otherwise,
accidentorinjurymayoccur.
◆ Do not abuse the power cord.
 Nevercarrythemachinebythecordoryankitfromthesocket.
Keepthecordawayfromheat,oil,grease,knivesandsharpedges.
Wirethecordwithcare.Donotrunthecordwhereitmaybestamped,caughtor
damagedbyanything.Otherwise,youmaygetelectricalshockorthecordmaybe
shortedtocauseare.
◆ Maintain the machine with care.
 Keepthesawbladesharpandcleanforbetterandsaferperformance.
Ifthesawbladeusedisworn,damagedorimproperforanintendedpurpose,the
motorandmachinewillbeoverloaded.Thismaycausethemachinetogenerateheat,
emitsmokeorcausere,oryoumaygetinjured.
Followinstructionsforreplacingaccessories.
 Inspectthepowercordandplugbeforeuse.Ifdamaged,havethemrepairedbyour
salesrepresentative.
Otherwiseyoumaygetelectricalshockorthemachinemaybeshortedtocausere.
 Keephandlesdry,cleanandfreefromoilandgrease,whichmayleadtoinjury.
◆ Check damaged parts.
 Beforefurtheruseofthemachine,aguardorotherpartthatisdamagedshouldbe
carefullycheckedtodeterminethatitwilloperateproperlyandperformitsintended
function.
 Checkthemachineforalignmentofmovingparts,bindingofmovingparts,breakage
ofparts,mountingandanyotherconditionsthatmaya󱐯ectitsoperation.
 Donotusethemachinewhenitsplugand/orcordisdamaged.
Youmaygetelectricalshockorthemachinemaybeshortedtocausere.
 Donotusethemachineifitsswitchdoesnotturnitonando󱐯.
 Aguardorotherpartthatisdamagedshouldbeproperlyrepairedorreplacedbyan
authorizedservicecenterunlessotherwiseindicatedinthisinstructionmanual.
◆ Store the idle machine tidily.
 Whennotinuse,machinesshouldbestoredindryandhighorlocked-upplace–
outofreachofchildren.
◆ Have your machine repaired by a qualied person.
 Ourproductsareinaccordancewiththerelevantsafetyrules.Donotmodifythem.
Repairsshouldonlybecarriedoutbyoursalesrepresentative.
Otherwisethemachinemaynotshowitsperformanceoryoumaygetinjured.
◆ If any label applied to the machine, etc. has come o󱐯, always ask for
a new label and apply it in position.

◆ Do not cut a pipe which contains live gas or residual gas.
Sparksorcuttingheatfromthemotorcancauseignitionorexplosion.
◆ Do not operate the machine near hazardous materials such as
ammable gasoline, gas and thinner.
Theycancauseignitionorexplosion.
◆ In case to cut a pipe with water remaining inside, avoid being
splashed water onto the machine.
Ifthemachineissplashed,itwillleadtoelectricalshock.
Waterwillcomeintothegearbox,andthegearswillgetdamaged.
●Inadditiontothegeneralinstructiongivenabove,followtheprecautionsgiven
belowbeforeoperatingthePIPESAW200SP.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
◆ Operate the machine with the voltage indicated in the machine plate.
 Iftheoperatingvoltageishigherthanindicated,themachinewillrunatabnormally
highspeed,causinginjury.Iftheoperatingvoltageishigherthanindicated,heat,
smokeorsparksmaybegenerated.
◆ Before starting operation, fully check for underground objects such as
conduit pipes, water pipes and gas pipes near the place of operation.
 Iftherearesuchobjects,thesawblademaytouchanyofthemandelectrical
shocks,electricleaksorgasleakswhichwillcauseaccidentsmayoccur.
◆ Hold the machine body securely during operation.
 Ifyoudonotholditsecurely,youmaygetinjured.
◆ If the machine is not in good order or generates unusual noise,
immediately switch it o󱐯 to stop operation and request your sales
representative for inspection or repair.
 Ifyoucontinuetousethemachine,youmaygetinjured.
◆ If you have dropped or hit the machine accidentally, carefully check
its saw blade, body, etc. for damage, crack or deformation.
 Damage,crackordeformationtothesawbladeormachinebodywillleadto
accidentorinjury.
◆ Before changing the saw blade, always disconnect the power cord.
 Otherwise,themachinewillstartrunningsuddenly,causinginjury.
◆ Install the saw blade to the machine correctly.
 Otherwise,ifthesawbladecomeso󱐯,youmaygetinjured.
◆ During operation, keep your hands, face, etc. away from the saw
blade and chip ejector.

◆ When carrying the machine, disconnect the power cord.
 Otherwise,themachinewillrunsuddenly,causinganaccidentorinjury.
◆ Never touch the saw blade, chips and work piece immediately after
cutting operation.
 Immediatelyaftercuttingoperation,theyarehotandyoucangetburntorinjured.
◆ Pay attention not to cut the power cord by the saw blade.
 Youmaygetelectricalshock.
◆ Before starting operation at a high place, fully make sure that there
is no one under you.
 Anaccidentcanoccurifyoudropaworkpieceorthemachine.
◆ When you cut a pipe near an obstacle such as a wall or an adjacent
pipe, leave an enough clearance to prevent the nose of the saw blade
from making contact with the obstacle.
 Themachineorthesawblademaybebroken.
◆ Do not cut the work piece which requires more than capacity.
 Ifcutthe workpiecewhichrequires morethancapacitythe saw blademaybe
broken.
◆ Use the Asada genuine saw blade.
 Ifusetheothersawbladetheremaybeapossibilitytocauseaccidents
unexpectedly.

Sincethisproducthasadouble-insulatedstructure,thelawdoesnotrequireitto
installanearthleakagecircuitbreaker.Topreventelectricalshock,however,itis
recommendedtoconnectthemachinetothepowersupplywhichisprovidedwith
anearthleakagecircuitbreaker.
Makesurethattheworkingareaiskeptproperasdescribedinthe"SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS"and"OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS".
①Whenanextensioncordisrequiredforusewithadistantpowersupply,it
shouldbethickenoughtocarrycertaincurrentandasshortaspossibleto
ensurethattheproductisusedwiththemaximume󱐰ciencywithoutafailure.
②Followingchartshowsmaximumlengthoftheextensioncorddependingonthe
thickness(sectionalareaofthecorewire)whichapplicabletothemachine.
●Beforeoperatingthemachine,makethefollowingpreparations:
◎Noiseiscontrolledassetforthinrelevantregulations.Themachinemustbe
operatedatlessthantheregulatednoisetoavoiddiscomforttotheneighborhood.

①LoosentheClampBoltbyAllenWrench.
●
Beforestartingoperation,alwaysreadtheinstructionsin"SAFETYINSTRUCTIONS"
and"OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS"(pages2to6).
◆ In order to prevent the accident, pull out the plug from the receptacle.
 Themachinewillstartrunningsuddenly,itwillleadtoaccidentsorinjuries.
◆ Never touch the saw blade, chips and work piece immediately after
cutting.
 Immediatelyaftercuttingoperation,theyarehotandyoucangetburntorinjured.
◆ Always use the power supply indicated in the machine plate.
 Iftheoperatingvoltageishigherthanindicated,themotorwillrunatabnormally
highspeed,whichmaydamagethemachine.
 Ifusethemachineatovervoltageindicatedinthemachineplateorinstruction
manual,themachinemaybecomehot,emitsmokeorcatchre.
◆ Make sure that the switch is o󱐯 before plugging the machine in.
 PulltheTriggerSwitchtoturnonandreleasetoturno󱐯.Alwaysmakesurethatthe
TriggerSwitchreturnswhenyoureleasethetriggerpulled.
 Ifyouinserttheplugintothereceptacle,notknowingtheswitchison,themachine
willstartabruptly,leadingtoanunexpectedaccident.
◆ In case to use engine generator, use the engine generator which
output capacity is more than 2.8KVA with inverter control type.
 Ifuseenginegeneratorwithoutinvertercontrol,themachinewillbebroken.

②InsertthesawbladebetweentheBladeHolderandtheSawGuide,andputthe
projectionofholderintotheholeofblade.
③SoftlytightentheClampBolt,andaftertheconrmationthatthesawblade
doesnotcomeo󱐯,tightenitstrongly.

◆ Do not run the machine without the saw blade making contact with the
work piece.
 Thesawblade maybebroken byoscillationand thebrokensawblademayhurtyou.
Turnontheswitchwiththesawbladepressingagainsttheworkpiece.
◆ Do not remove the rubber cover. Always hold the machine body on the
rubber cover.
◆ Do not t the chain vise on the cut-o󱐯 end of the work piece.
 Otherwise,theworkpieceandthemachinewilldroptogetheraftercut.
◆ Do not cut a pipe of a large diameter which is over capacity.
 Otherwise,thenose of thesawblademay makecontactwiththe inner wallofthepipe,
breakingthesawblade.
◆ Do not force the machine during cutting. Put light force on it to cut.
 Otherwise,thesawblademaybebrokenoritsservicelifeshortened.
◆ Fix the work piece securely.
 Machineoperationwithoutxingtheworkpiecemaycauseofunforeseenaccidentorinjury.
◆ When cutting stainless steel pipe, use threading oil (Optional accessory:
Asada Threading Oil White, No.ST014).
 Cuttingstainlesssteelpipewithoutoilcauseofdrasticallyshortenedtheservicelifeofthe
sawblade.
◆ When operate the machine, take care that contamination like cutting chip,
mud, water and so on do not enter into the machine. When contamination
collects at Saw Guide, clean it each time.
◆ When cut steel pipe, use Chain Vise for stable operation and better
performance.

②PushtheMainBodyintoVisePin.Atthistime,conformtheVisePinintothe
holeofMainBody.
③LoosentheChainVise,conformthesawbladeatthecuttingposition,and
thenagainxitsecurely.
④PulltheTriggerSwitchtoturnthemachineonwiththesawbladepressing
againsttheworkpiece.Liftthegripupandcuttheworkpieceslowly.
Forcuttingspeed,refertothebelowchart.
⑤ForremovingthemainbodyfromtheChainVise,pulloutthemainbody
pushingtheendoftheVisePinwiththumb.
＊Indicatedcuttingtimesareaverages.Itmaytakelongerundertheconditionof
thesawbladeandalsothecuttingmaterial.
＊
Donotoperatethemachineforlongtime(over15minutes)atlowsawbladespeed.
＊Adjustthesawbladespeedatcuttingcondition.Ifthewagglewidthofthe
sawbladeiswideorthesawbladechip,adjustthesawbladespeedslower.

◆ Please use Chain Vise when you cut large size of steel pipe (more
than 2 1/2").
 Cuttinglargesizeofsteelpipe(morethan21/2")ishardwithoutChainVise.
◆ Press the Guide Plate against the work piece at cutting.
 Thesawblademaybebrokenduetovibration.
◆ Hold the machine body and the Grip rmly during cutting.
 Ifnot,letgoofthemachineandcauseunforeseenaccident.

◆ Adjust the saw blade speed under no load.
 Itistoodangeroustoadjustthesawbladespeedduringcutting.
◆ Do not operate the machine for long time(over 15 minutes) at low saw blade speed.
 Themotorwillbeforced,causingburnout.Especiallyavoidforcibleusagewhich
willleadtoasawbladestopduringcutting.Adjustthesawbladespeedsothat
themachinecuttheworkpiecesmoothly.
◆ In case of the saw blade chip, operate the machine at lower speed.
 Ifthebladespeedistoomuchhigh,thesawbladewouldbechipped.
◆ If the waggle width of the saw blade is wide, adjust the saw blade speed lower.
 Ifthewagglewidthofthesawbladeiswide,thesawbladewouldbebrokenbeforecutting.

 Thedialindicationof"1"denotesthelowestspeedand"6"thehighestspeed.
 Highspeedissuitableforsoftsteelpipesandlowspeedforstainlesssteel
pipes.Usetheappropriatespeedinresponsetotheworkpieceandoperating
conditions.
●ThemachineisequippedwithOverLoadProtector.Whenthemotorgets
heateduptothecertaintemperatures,themotorautomaticallystopandyou
cannotturnthemachineonforawhile.
 Donotusethemachineuntilthemotorisfullycooleddown.
 Afterthemotorfullycooleddown,themachinecanbeusedagain,howeveras
themotorisstillheated,cutwithoutexcessiveforce.

anddustaccumulating inthemotor willcauseafailure.

Afteroperationof about50hours,run the motorunderno
loadandblow non-humid airthroughthewind holeofthe
housing.Thishelpsremovedirtanddust.
ChecktheSawGuidecarefully
thatthereisnochips,mud,
sand,waterandsoon.
Ifchips,mud, sand,water,etc.remain stickingtotheSaw
Guide,theSawGuidewillrustandleadtoafailure.Always
cleantheSawGuidebeforestoringthemachine.
Removestainfromthe
machineandkeepclean.
Theouterframe of themachineismade ofrigidsynthetic
resin.Howeverits surface willbedamagedby gasoline,
thinner,petroleumandkerosene.Whencleaning,wipeits
surfacewithadryclothoraclothimmersedinsoapsuds.
