Persons with pacemakers or metal implants should consult their doctor to make sure that these items
cannot malfunction or heat up.
While the appliance is in operation, the user may not wear any objects such as rings or watches that
could heat up if they came into close contact with the cooking surface.
The manufacturer cannot be made liable for damage due to inexpert connection and handling. Claims
under the guarantee in such cases are null and void.
Credit cards, telephone cards and similar objects can be made inoperable if they come into close
contact with the cooking zones.
The air slits under the control panel and in the intermediate floor may not be altered in cross section.
Do not hang any cloths over the panel. This could interfere with the internal cooling air system. The
appliance has an inlet air filter. Nevertheless, you must ensure that the incoming air contains no
grease from other appliances that could be drawn into the induction appliance (e.g. from nearby deep
fat fryers and grilling plates). The temperature of the air being drawn in must be below +35°C.
Should a crack form in the glass ceramic surface, the appliance must be disconnected from the mains
supply immediately and the competent repair service informed.
Before repair work is started, the appliance must be disconnected on all poles from the power (using
isolating equipment in the customer's supply, e.g. contact breakers).
3.3 Dangers resulting from non-observance of the safety instructions
Non-observance of the safety instructions can result in dangers to people, the surroundings and the
induction appliance itself. Any claims for damages are excluded in the event of non-observance of the
safety instructions. Non-observance of the safety instructions could result in the following specific risks
(examples):
- danger to people due to electrical factors
- danger to people due to overheated pans
- danger to people due to overheated surfaces (ceramic hob)
3.4 Safe use
The safety instructions in these operating instructions, existing national regulations for accident
prevention when using electrical systems and all company-specific work, operating and safety
instructions must be observed.
3.5 Safety instructions for operating personnel
Attention! Only place pots and pans onto the appliance if their full surface area is located on the
cooking zone. Ignoring this safety instruction will cause damage to the pots and the appliance.
Ramifications if ignored: Pots will become welded together and joint materials will burn due to the
heat from the pans. This will destroy the seals and allow moisture and grease to penetrate into the
appliance causing it to malfunction.
•If the ceramic glass is cracked or broken, the induction appliance must be switched off and
disconnected from the electricity supply. Do not touch any parts inside the induction appliance.
•The ceramic hob is heated by the heat of the pan. To avoid injuries (burns), do not touch the ceramic
hob.
•In order to avoid overheating an empty pan, never heat a pan unsupervised or without food.
•Turn off the cooking zone if you remove the pan for a long period of time. This will prevent the
heating process automatically restarting as soon as a pan is placed onto the cooking zone again.
Unintentional heating is thus prevented, i.e. if a person wants to use the induction appliance then
they have to start the heating process by switching on the appliance and turning the control knob
to “ON”.
•Do not use the cooking surface for storage purposes!
•Do not place paper, cardboard, textiles, etc. between the pan and the ceramic hob because these
items could catch fire.
•Since metal objects heat up very quickly when they come into contact with an operational cooking
zone, never place objects other than pans onto the induction appliance (closed cans, aluminium foil,
cutlery, jewellery, watches, etc.).
•People with pacemakers should consult their doctor to find out whether it is safe for them to be near
induction appliances.
•Do not place credit cards, phone cards, cassettes, or other objects sensitive to magnets on the
ceramic hob.
•Only use pots and pans of the recommended type and size.
•The induction appliance has an internal air cooling system. Avoid blocking the air inlets and outlets
with objects (e.g. textiles). This would cause the appliance to overheat and thus switch off.
•Prevent liquids from penetrating into the appliance and avoid water or food spilling over the edge of
the pan. Do not use a water jet to clean the appliance.
