Using the Remote Control
Your receiver comes with its own remote control. Use this receiver remote control, not
the remote control that came with your TV set, to control AT&T U-verse TV.
Most of the buttons on your receiver remote control are probably familiar to you and act as you
expect. For example, the CHANNEL/PAGE button changes the channels, and the VOLUME button
controls the volume.

Here are some important buttons on the receiver remote control:
• POWER. Turns the signal from the receiver to the TV on and off.
This button does not turn the TV itself on and off. You have to use the TV remote control or the
power button on your TV set to turn the TV on and off.
• CHANNEL/PAGE. Changes channels up and down.
• VOLUME. Turns the volume up and down.
Be sure to use this button on the receiver remote control—not the volume button on the TV or TV
remote control—to control volume.
• Arrow buttons. Use these buttons to navigate and to select items in the screens.
• OK. Activates a selected item in a screen. Use the arrow buttons to select the item, and then press
the OK button to activate it.

• MENU. Displays the AT&T U-verse TV main menu, which gives you quick access to the
features of your video service.
Use the RIGHT ARROW and LEFT ARROW buttons to select headings in the main menu, and
use the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW buttons to select items under a heading.
• GUIDE. Displays the IPTV Edition program guide, which lists the shows that are on now and for
the next few days.
• RECORDED TV. Displays the Recorded TV screen, which lists the shows that you have
recorded.

• VIDEOS. Displays the Video on Demand screen, which lists videos you can rent on demand.
• INFO. Displays a Program Info screen with information about the program you are watching, a
program selected in the program guide, or a program selected in a list, such as the list of currently
rented videos.
The Program Info screen provides appropriate options you can select for that program, such as
Watch or Record episode.

• BACK. Returns to the screen that you were viewing before the current one.
• EXIT to TV. Dismisses the screen and goes back to full-screen video.
