1 System Overview
1.1 System Description
The entire system consists of instrument, check and calibration standard, dock-
ing station and 3rd party software (not part of delivery).
1.2 Connect Instrument
Delivery comprises a magnetic adapter for the USB connection.
1. Check that magnetic adapter is inserted into USB socket at instrument.
2. Connect USB cable to a free USB socket on your PC.
3. Place instrument in docking station.
4. Docking station automatically charges the instrument.
5. Download and install 3rd party color matching software.
Turn instrument on by pressing the Operate button.
Notice
To charge the instrument the USB cable may also be connected to a standard
USB power supply (not part of delivery).

1.4 System Configuration
Click the Configuration icon in the main menu.
1. The Setup screen appears.
2. Click on Information to get instrument details.
3. Click on Language to adapt the user interface.

2 System Operation
2.1 Instrument Check
A color check on green is recommended every 7 days, calibration on white is
forced every 30 days.
Check instrument on color tile
1. Select Check in the main menu.
2. Place unit on green color tile and tip on OK or press button Operate.
Values are within tolerance
1. Confirm success message with OK.
2. The unit returns to the main menu and readings can be taken.
Values are out of tolerance
1. Confirm error message with OK and repeat green color tile reading.
2. If the color check is not successful for three times, you are asked to per-
form a calibration on white tile and thereafter, a color check on green tile
again.
If calibration fails, clean the white tile. If calibration still fails, contact customer
support.
2.2 Sample Measurement
In this mode free measurements can be made and named. Display of measure-
ment values after finishing can be activated through the PC. Select Measure in
the main menu and place instrument on sample to be measured.

1. Press button Operate to take a reading.
2. Number of required readings per sample is stored in the instrument.
3. Instrument must be lifted between readings.
4. If an outlier is detected, the readings have to be repeated.
5. To abort measurement click on Cancel.
Displayed values are the average values of the measured sample.
2.3 Sample Identification
All measurements are automatically saved with the default name “Sample”
and an incrementing number. Input of sample identification after measure-
ment can activated through the PC.
1. To change default name, click on name field; the keyboard opens.
2. Select desired letters or numbers and confirm with OK.
3. Use the red X to delete an input character.
Additional parameters can be entered:
•Manufacturer: Activate input field and select entry from a preloaded list.
•All other parameters: Activate input field and use keyboard to select the
desired letter or number and confirm with OK.

2.4 Joblist Measurement
In this mode a joblist can be downloaded from the PC that includes predefined
samples to be measured. Click the Joblist icon in the main menu.
1. The list with preloaded jobs appears.
2. Select the required job name and confirm with OK.
3. The instrument directs to the measurement menu.
4. Perform the readings.
5. The sample is stored with the job name.
6. After the readings were taken, the job name is deleted from the job list.
2.5 Browse Measurements
Display of measurement values in browse mode can be activated through the
PC. Click the Browse icon in the main menu.
1. The list with all stored measurement samples and jobs appears.
2. Use arrows up and down to see all samples - from new to old.
3. Click on OK to return to the main menu.
Stored values are the average values of the measured sample.

2.6 Delete Measurements
Click the Delete icon in the main menu.
1. The list with all measurements samples and jobs appears.
2. Select a sample or job and click on Delete.
3. The selected sample is deleted immediately.
4. Click on OK to close the confirmation message.
5. Click back arrow to return to the main menu.
Samples and / or jobs have to be deleted one by one.
2.7 Compare Measurements
In this mode two measurements can be compared. Click the Difference icon in
the main menu.
1. Select a sample from the list and click on Std button to set it as standard.
2. Select the sample to be compared from the list.
3. The difference values are displayed.
4. Click on OK to return to the main menu.

1 Systemübersicht
1.1 Systembeschreibung
Das Gesamtsystem besteht aus Farbmessgerät, Prüf- und Kalibrierstandard,
Docking-Station und Fremdsoftware (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten).
1.2 Inbetriebnahme
Die Lieferung umfasst einen Magnetadapter für die USB-Verbindung.
1. Prüfen, ob der Magnetadapter korrekt in der USB-Buchse am Gerät steckt.
2. Das USB-Kabel mit einer freien USB-Buchse am PC verbinden.
3. Messgerät in Dockingstation einsetzen.
4. Die Dockingstation lädt das Gerät automatisch auf.
5. Fremdsoftware für Farbcontrolle herunterladen und installieren.
Farbmessgerät durch Drücken der Taste Operate einschalten.
Hinweis
Zum Laden des Geräts kann das USB-Kabel auch an ein handelsübliches USB-
Netzteil angeschlossen werden (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten).

1. Der Bildschirm Einstellungen erscheint.
2. Auf Informationen klicken, um Details zum Gerät einzusehen.
3. Auf Sprache klicken, um die Benutzeroberfläche anzupassen.

2 Systembetrieb
2.1 Prüfen des Geräts
Eine Farbkontrolle auf Grün wird alle 7 Tage empfohlen, eine Kalibrierung auf
Weiß wird alle 30 Tage erzwungen.
Gerät auf Farbkachel prüfen
1. Im Hauptmenü auf Prüfen tippen.
2. Gerät auf die grüne Prüfkachel setzen und mit OK oder Taste Operate
starten.
Werte liegen innerhalb der Toleranz
1. Erfolgsmeldung mit OK bestätigen.
2. Das Gerät kehrt zurück zum Hauptmenü; jetzt kann gemessen werden.
Werte sind außerhalb der Toleranz
1. Fehlermeldung mit OK bestätigen und Prüfung auf grüner Kachel wieder-
holen.
2. Ist die Farbprüfung dreimal nicht erfolgreich, wird auf der weißen Kachel
kalibriert, anschließend erfolgt erneut die Farbprüfung auf grün.
Schlägt die Kalibrierung fehl, die weiße Kachel reinigen. Schlägt die Kalibrie-
rung weiterhin fehl, den Kundensupport kontaktieren.
2.2 Messen von Proben
In diesem Modus können freie Messungen durchgeführt und benannt werden.
Die Anzeige der Messwerte nach der Messung kann per PC aktiviert werden. Im
Hauptmenü auf Messen tippen und Gerät auf die zu messende Probe setzen.

1. Taste Operate drücken, um eine Messung durchzuführen.
2. Die Anzahl der benötigten Messwerte pro Probe ist im Gerät hinterlegt.
3. Gerät zwischen den einzelnenn Messungen anheben.
4. Wird ein "Ausreißer" erkannt, die Messungen wiederholen.
5. Um die Messung abzubrechen, auf Abbrechen tippen.
Die angezeigten Werte sind die Durchschnittswerte der gemessenen Probe.
2.3 Umbenennen der Messung
Alle Messungen werden automatisch mit dem Standardnamen "Probe" und ei-
ner aufsteigenden Nummer gespeichert. Die Eingabe der Probenbezeichnung
nach der Messung kann per PC aktiviert werden.
1. Zum Ändern auf das Namensfeld tippen - die Tastatur öffnet sich.
2. Auf gewünschte Buchstaben oder Zahlen tippen und mit OK bestätigen.
3. Zum Löschen eines Zeichens auf das rote X tippen.
Ggf. können weitere Parameter eingegeben werden:
•Hersteller: In Eingabefeld tippen und aus vorgeladener Liste wählen.
•Alle anderen: In Eingabefeld tippen und Wert per Tastatur eingeben.

2.4 Messen mit Aufträgen
In diesem Modus kann eine Arbeitsliste mit vordefinierten Probennamen vom
PC in das Farbmessgerät geladen werden. Im Hauptmenü auf Aufträge tippen.
1. Die Liste mit den vorgeladenen Aufträgen erscheint.
2. Gewünschten Auftrag auswählen und mit OK bestätigen.
3. Das Gerät schaltet in den Messmodus um.
4. Messungen durchführen.
5. Die Probe wird mit dem Auftragsnamen abgespeichert.
6. Nach erfolgter Messung wird der Auftrag aus der Liste entfernt.
2.5 Anzeigen der Messungen
Die Anzeige der Messwerte in diesem Modus kann per PC aktiviert werden. Im
Hauptmenü auf Durchsuchen tippen.
1. Die Liste aller gemessenen Proben und Aufträge erscheint.
2. Mit Bildlaufleiste alle Proben einsehen – neuere stehen oben.
3. Auf OK tippen für Rückkehr ins Hauptmenü.
Die gespeicherten Werte sind die Durchschnittswerte der gemessenen Probe.

2.6 Löschen von Messungen
Im Hauptmenü auf Löschen tippen.
1. Die Liste mit allen freien Messungen und Aufträgen erscheint.
2. Freie Messung oder Auftrag auswählen und auf Löschen tippen.
3. Das ausgewählte Element wird sofort gelöscht.
4. Zum Schließen der Bestätigungsmeldung auf OK tippen.
5. Auf den Zurück-Pfeil tippen, um zum Hauptmenü zurückzukehren.
Freie Messungen und / oder Aufträge werden stets einzeln gelöscht.
2.7 Vergleich von Messungen
In diesem Modus können zwei Messungen miteinander verglichen werden. Im
Hauptmenü auf Abweichung tippen.
1. Eine Probe in der Liste wählen und auf Std tippen, um sie als Standard ein-
zustellen.
2. Die zu vergleichende Messung in der Liste auswählen.
3. Die Differenzwerte werden angezeigt.
4. Auf OK tippen, um zum Hauptmenü zurückzukehren.
