installed properly and is fit for use with this Bunk
Ladder.

INSTALLATION
How to mount the Bunk Ladder to your permanently-
bunk bedrail.
WARNING
MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH
The Bunk Ladder is not intended to be a permanent
fixture. The Bunk Ladder should only be applied when
the vehicle is parked on level ground. Remove and
safely store the Bunk Ladder before starting or moving
the vehicle.
1. Make sure your ladder is in the correct orientation
prior to installing. Standing in front of the ladder with the
rubber feet of the bunk ladder setting on the floor, the
lowest portion of the ladder should be vertical and the
center section of the ladder should angle away from you.
This is the install orientation.
2. The mounting brackets are rotated for shipping
purposes. You may need to rotate the mounting
brackets prior to installing. Holding the ladder in the
install orientation, turn the mounting brackets on top of
the ladder until they are facing straight away from you.
Retighten the attachment screws to secure the mounting
brackets in the install orientation, as they may have
loosened during this exercise.
3. Your bunk ladder is designed with an optimal center
angle of 9° and must be installed so that the ladder
center angle is no more than 11° from vertical. Your
bunk ladder mounting height will be determined by
choosing a bunk rail that allows the ladder to satisfy
these angle requirements. With the legs resting on the
floor, the range of horizontal distance from the bunk rail
to the ladder feet should be as listed in the following
diagram:

4. With the ladder in install orientation, hold the ladder by
grabbing a ladder rail in each hand. Raise the bunk
ladder until the mounting brackets can go over the bunk
rail corresponding to the bunk ladder mounting height.
Bring the bunk ladder down until the mounting brackets
have come to rest on the top of the bunk rail and the
rubber feet are firmly on the floor.

CAUTION
MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY
DAMAGE
Failure to properly secure the Bunk Ladder to the bunk
bedrail may cause damage or injury. Always verify
that the Bunk Ladder is securely coupled to the bunk
bedrail when installed for use on the bunk bedrail.
Always verify that the Bunk Ladder is firmly resting on
the floor when installed for use on the bunk bedrail.
Never move the vehicle with the Bunk Ladder installed
for use on the bunk bedrail.
Make sure the rubber feet of the installed Bunk Ladder
can’t slip. Once at rest, apply some weight to the bottom
step/rung of the installed Bunk Ladder to ensure the
installed Bunk Ladder is stable. If Bunk Ladder is not
secure, re-inspect the Bunk Ladder to ensure no
components are damaged, broken or missing. DO NOT
use Bunk Ladder with damaged, broken, or missing
components. Verify mounting brackets are engaged.
Re-position the Bunk Ladder repeating the previous
steps until secure.
CAUTION
MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY
DAMAGE
Always check the position of the Bunk Ladder before
each use. Adjust into correct position as necessary,
ensuring ladder is secure every time before use. It is
the responsibility of the user to verify the Bunk Ladder
is secure to the bunk bedrail and in the correct
position.
OPERATION
CAUTION
MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY
DAMAGE
For comfort as well as safety, hands should be
completely dry and footwear should have solid
bottoms to provide better grip and support when
climbing a ladder. Bare feet, soft sandals or “flip-flops”
are not recommended.
When climbing onto the Bunk Ladder, grab onto the
rungs of the Bunk Ladder using a hand-over-hand
method. Always keep a firm grip on the ladder as you
ascend, only releasing one hand before reaching and
grabbing the next location. While ascending and
descending the Bunk Ladder, always make sure feet are
planted firmly on the occupied step before advancing to
the next step or the floor.

MAINTENANCE
The Bunk Ladder is made from durable materials and is
intended for indoor use. However, minor maintenance
may be required periodically.
The Bunk Ladder may be cleaned with warm soapy
water. Be sure to thoroughly rinse with clean water to
retain finish. May be towel or air-dried.
Check to make sure all fasteners are tight before and
after each use, and replace any missing, damaged or
broken fasteners before use. Do not use Bunk Ladder if
any fasteners are damaged, broken or missing.
The Bunk Ladder is not intended to be a permanent
fixture. If the recreational vehicle is to be moved then
the Bunk Ladder needs to be removed from the bunk
bedrail and stored separately.
Periodically inspect the Bunk Ladder tubing, mounting
brackets and step components for any damage, cracks
or broken pieces. Replace the Bunk Ladder if damaged,
cracked or broken. Do not use Bunk Ladder if any
components are damaged, broken or missing.
