INSTRUCTION
AUDEIA - CU402 /x – USER MANUAL – EN 5
OVERVIEW
The CU402/X is the central unit of the AASER system. The
AASER system is a revolutionary solution to have a
controlled sound emission with a constant polar pattern
with high directivity and for the entire audio spectrum.
The polar pattern opening could be regulated from 120
to 180 degrees. The central unit include the power and
the DSP section, has the main control interface and the
audio connections. Through an USB connection is it
possible to connect the device to a PC and make
advanced configurations with the AASER-GUI software
(you can download the software from website or require it
to an authorized distributor). The system has two
balanced inputs, one pass-through output, one power
output for the AASER projector and a amplified output for
reinforcement speaker if needed.
One of the input in connected to the output, the second is
not connected to the output, this allow you to have in
cascade systems some sound only in one section.
You can connect more projector in the same CU by the
expansion box sold separately.
RONT PANEL
In the front panel is located:
(1) VU METER, this METER indicate the input sound level,
regulate the gain in the source to have a level that use
all the dynamic but in the red limit of the METER.
(2) Red LED that indicate an overload on the amplifier
modules, restart the device if this is on and reduce the
sound level.
(3) Main volume regulation, this KNOB regulate the output
level of the amplifier section
(4) Aux volume, this KNOB regulate the gain of the AUX
amplified channel, the power of this channel is 600W
RMS ad 4 ohm.
Pay attention, put this KNOB at the minimal
volume and increase the volume progressively to
not damage the connected speakers.
(5) Power on switch
(6) Program push button for CU device programming, more
information in the software user manual.
REAR PANEL
In the rear panel there are all the connection interface.
ollowing the details:
(1) The power supply inlet (speakon)
(2) Aux powered output (600 watt). 2 pole speakon type
connector
(3) AASER projector connection, 8 pole speakon
connector
(4) USB plug for PC connection. Use AUDEIA AASER-
GUI software for device programming.
(5) Line pass-through output, XLR balanced line
(6) Line pass-through input, XLR balanced line
(7) Line input (not in pass-through), XLR balanced line
The power supply inlet and the power supply specifics change according to countries standards; until to
connect the AC cord to the power source please verify that the supply voltage and frequencies printed on the
rear panel are coincident with the local electrical system specifics.
CONNECTIONS

INSTRUCTION
AUDEIA - CU402 /x – USER MANUAL – EN 6
Line input and output are XLR balanced type.
The connection are according the standards, following
the details:
1 - GND
2 – Positive
3 – Negative
The powered output are speakon type.
In the AUX line output the pole 1 is the positive, the pole
2 is the negative.
REAR HOLDER SUPPORT
To simplify the mounting in standard rack-mount chassis
the system is equipped with a adjustable flange.
Make a measuring of the depth in the chassis, adjust the
position of the flang (2) according the measure and fix the
4 screws (1).
