1.1 General information

Note descriptions before carrying out maintenance or repair
work.

1.2 Special information about using the
partition grid
♦Improper installation can cause damage to the vehicle or
the partition grid.
♦We reserve the right to make technical changes.
♦Check all screws after a short journey and at regular
intervals and tighten if necessary.
♦Do not tighten too tight or the covering may be damaged.
♦When transporting animals/dogs behind the partition grid,
clean the surface of the partition grid regularly, as e.g. dog
saliva could damage the surface coating of the partition
grid.
Loading long items
To transport lengthy articles (e.g. skis), the load-through
hatch can be opened forwards.

–To open, move the backrest forwards (⇒vehicle owners
manual) and loosen both of the star grip screws on the
load-through hatch.
–Open the load-through hatch.
–After pushing the rear seat backrest back, ensure that the
partition grid is not touching the backrest.

The luggage compartment cover and net partition cannot be
used when the partition grid is installed.
–Check that the assembly set is complete.
–Remove the net partition (if present).
–Remove the luggage compartment cover and fold down
the rear backrest.
–Screw the retaining clamp -9- loosely to the pin -7-, rubber
washer -8- and star grip nut -10-.
–As shown, press the pin of the retaining clamp up into the
cut out (large drilled hole in the roof) -Arrow A-.
–Now move the retaining clamp up slightly and in the
direction of travel -Arrow B-, until the pin hooks into the
small hole.
–Tighten the star grip nut slightly. The upper retaining clamp
must still be moveable.
–Insert the partition grid - tilted slightly as shown - carefully
through the luggage compartment and position roughly in
the installation position.

–Screw the partition grid -1- and the upper brackets -9-
together loosely using the star grip screws (small head) -2-.
Vehicles without a rack system for loading safety (fixed
fastening rings)
–Lift the fastening ring -A- and insert the bracket -6-.
–Screw the bracket -6- to the partition grid with the star grip
screws (small heads) -2-.
–Straighten the partition grid centrally again and tighten all
of the screws securely.
Vehicles with a rack system for loading safety (adjustable
fastening rings)
–Screw the bracket -4- and the counterhold bracket -5-
together loosely using just one of the star grip screws
(large head) -3- for each.
Ensure that the cut outs and the guides -Arrow- on the
counterhold bracket -5- face towards the bracket -4-
(the narrow end facing up).
–Remove all existing fastening rings from the rails.

–Insert the respective counterhold bracket into the opening
in the rails and push forward -Arrow-.
–Bring the bracket -4- into the installation position and
screw onto the partition grid -1- with the star grip screws
(small head) -2-.
–Set a distance -A- of approx. 1 cm between the partition
grid -1- and the luggage compartment cover.
–Tighten the star grip screws (large head) -3- slightly.
–Screw the last star grip screws (large head) -3- through
the bracket -4- into the counterhold bracket and tighten
slightly.
–Secure the screws -3- into this position.
–Secure all screws on the upper and lower brackets.
–If available, assemble the space separator ⇒“4 Space
separator assembly set” on page 8.
–Push the rear seat backrest back and ensure that the
partition grid is not touching the backrest.
The luggage compartment cover and net partition cannot be
used when the partition grid is installed.
WARNING!
Ensure that the securing pins -A- of the counterhold brack-
et are between the securing pins of the support rail -B-.

–Insert the support plates -14- from below in the drill holes
-A- on the space separator -11-.
–Position the space separator either in the middle or create
a 1/3 and a 2/3 section.
–Loosely screw the top of the space separator to the parti-
tion grid -A- using the star grip screw (large head) -13-.
–Loosely screw the bottom of the space separator
to the partition grid -B- using the star grip screw
(small head) -12-.
–Tighten all screws.
Straighten the space separator:
–Loosen the lock nuts -A-.
–Turn the support foot -B- to adjust it so that the space
separator has a slight bearing preload.
–Secure the lock nuts -C-.
–Push the rear seat backrest back and ensure that the
partition grid is not touching the backrest.
