Opening and closing the vehicle
With convenience key, you can lock and
unlock your vehicle without using the
remote control key.You only need to
carry the remote control key with you.
Unlocking the vehicle:
Grasp one of the door handles or the handle
recess on the luggage compartment lid.
Locking the vehicle:
Place the selector lever in the P position.
Press the lock button Oon one of the door
handles.
Closing the luggage compartment lid
automatically:
Press the ~,81
~
button in the open luggage
compartment lid.
_& WARNING
When you leave the vehicle, always remove the
ignition key and take it with you. This will prevent
passengers (children, for example) from
accidentally being locked in the vehicle should
they accidentally press the power locking switch
in the front doors.

When you lock your vehicle from the
outside, do not leave anyone -espe-
cially children -inside the vehicle.
Remember, when you lock the vehicle
from the outside the windows cannot
be opened from the inside.

Always ensure that no one is within
range of the rear lid when it is moving,
in particular close to the hinges -
fingers or hands can be pinched.
Starting the enaine
Switching the ignition on and off:
Insert the key into the ignition lock.
Do not depress the brake pedal. Press on the key.
The key can only be removed when
the ignition is switched off .
Starting the engine:
Insert the key into the ignition lock.
Depress the brake pedal and move
the selector lever into P or N.
Briefly press on the key.
Stopping the engine when the vehicle is standing:
Move the selector lever into P or N.
Briefly press on the key.
Convenience key:
You can switch on the ignition and start/stop the
engine using the START/STOPbutton without having
the key inserted in the ignition lock.
