damaged or broken. The liquid crystal fluid may be
dangerous. If the liquid crystal fluid contacts your body
or clothing, wash it off with soap immediately.

qualified personnel.

with foreign objects may result in dangerous voltage or

INTRODUCTION
•The names and functions of the RCP front panel are as follows:
1. TUNER – To activate the tuner.
2. - To play, pause or eject a cassette from the unit. (Press and
hold for approximately 2 seconds to eject the cassette.)
3. (Reverse) –To rewind a cassette to a previous track or position on
the cassette.
4. ( (Forward) - To fast forward a cassette to the next track or an
advance position on the cassette.
5. BAND | - To select the band (AM/FM) while the unit is in tuner
mode or to activate/deactivate Dolby “B”noise reduction.
6. AUTO | METAL - To select auto seek tuning or to activate/deactivate
metal cassette selection.
7. PRESET –To select or store the frequency of a radio station.

RADIO OPERATION
1. Press “TUNER”to activate the radio.
2. Press BAND to select the desired band (AM/FM). Each time you press,
the band switches between AM/FM.
Use the AUTO/METAL button for auto seek tuning, the digital display will
indicate AUTO1 for auto-seek tuning, AUTO 2 for preset station seek
tuning, and MANUAL for manual tuning. Press the button to seek
higher frequencies and the button to seek lower frequencies.
For preset station seek tuning (AUTO2), press the button to move to
the next preset station (i.e. the one with the next highest number), press
the button to move to the last preset station (i.e. the one with the
next lowest number).
For manual tuning, press the button to increase the frequency by one
step; press the button to decrease the frequency by one step. The
digital display will illuminate when stereo broadcasts are being received.

4. To save a frequency, press “PRESET”until the desired
preset location is reached. Use the or buttons to
locate the desired station. The preset number will blink but
will not advance to the next preset unless the button is
pushed and then released. When the desired station is
reached, push and hold the “PRESET”button for four
seconds. The preset number will display and flash once.
The current frequency will be stored in the preset location
displayed. Repeat the above to store up to six presets.
NOTE: All presets saved in memory will be lost if power is
deactivated.

CASSETTE PLAYER OPERATION
1. Insert a cassette in the slot with the label facing up. The digital display will
indicate “cassette –“IN”and play will begin automatically.
2. Press to pause the cassette. Press the button again to restart play.
Press and hold the button for approximately 2 seconds to eject the
cassette from the slot.
3. To rewind the cassette, press and hold down on the button. Release to
play the cassette at that point. The digital display will indicate the number
of the track.
4. To fast forward the cassette, press and hold down on the button.
Release to play the cassette at that point. The digital display will indicate
the number of the track.

5. To search backward through the tracks on the cassette, press the reverse
track button. Press once to search to the beginning of the current
track, twice to search back to the beginning of the previous track, etc. The
track number will be indicated on the digital display.
6. To search forward through the tracks on the cassette, press the advance
track button. Press once to fast forward to the next track, twice to fast
forward to the track after that, etc. Play starts at the beginning of the track
number indicated by the digital display.
7. Press the AUTO/METAL button to switch the metal tape indicator on and
off and to select the tape type. Turn the metal indicator on for the
following type tapes: Cr02 (Type II), FeCr (Type III), Metal (Type IV).

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION

Turn circuit breaker to ON position.
