Owner's Manual
TheAudionet-Teamwouldliketocongratulateyouforpurchasingthe
AudionetEPS!Surelyyou are asatisfiedowner ofanAudionetPRE1,
PRE1G2, PAM, CAT, MAP,MAP1orVIPG2. Withtheexternal
power supplyEPS you havethepossibilitytogiveall connectedunitsa
more sophisticated fundament.
Pleasereadthismanualbeforefirstusetomakesure thatyou areableto
useall provided functions ofyournewunit.
Incaseofoccuringquestions, pleasedo nothesitatetocontactyourlocal
Audionetdealer orourfactorydirectly.

Placing and connecting
Pleaseswitch off all yourHigh-End units before continuing.
Place theEnhancedPower SupplyEPS rightbesideorwithaminimum
distance of15 cmaboveyourAudionetPRE1, PRE1G2, PAM, CAT,
MAP,MAP1orVIPG2(=motherunit).ConnecttheEPS tothemother
unit usingtheprovided cable.
Makesure thevoltagespecifications printedon therearoftheEPS match
youractualpower voltage.
Connecting PRE1, PRE1 G2, PAMorCAT:
Now remove thepowercord fromthemotherunit andplugit intothe
EPS instead. Thesystemis nowreadyto use.
Note: InsertingasecondpowercordtothePRE1, PRE 1G2, PAMor
CATisnot necessaryandcandecreasesoundquality.Useonlyone
power cord. Dueto this thereis no power cord provided with theEPS.
Connecting MAP, MAP 1 orVIPG2:
Note: Incontrasttotheother motherunits, whenconnecting aMAP,
MAP1orVIPG2totheEPS bothunitsmusthave insertedapower
cord.Forfurther detailspleaserefer totheuser’smanualofyourMAP,
MAP1 orVIPG2.

Operating
Pleaseswitchon theEPSattherear.Thepositionofthemains switchof
themother unit is irrelevant.
UseyourPRE1, PRE1G2, PAMorCATasusual.All featuresare fully
functional. TheEPS is controlled bythemotherunit.
For detailsaboutoperatingyourMAP, MAP1 or VIP G2connectedto
anEPSpleaserefertotheuser’smanualofyourMAP, MAP1orVIP
G2.
Thethree LEDsatthefrontpaneloftheEPS indicatethepresence ofthe
highprecision voltagestheEPS supplies. Avoltageforrunningthecon-
trolcircuits ofthemotherunit is always indicatedbythecentre LED.
Theouter LEDswill bothlightup whenthemother unit switcheson the
analogvoltages.
TheEPS contains theimmensecapacityof260.000mF.Usingtheelectri-
calenergystoredwithinthesecapacitorswill run aPRE1 forseveralse-
conds. So theLEDs "analog..."will takesometimeto fade.

Features
YourEPS providesthemother unit withidealoperatingconditions. The
popular usageofaccumulatorsshowshoweverthefollowingserious dis-
advantage:
§Outputvoltagenotshorttermstable:Theinnerresistance is10 times
asbadastheoneofyourEPS causinga10 timeshigheroutputvolt-
agerippleatthesameload fluctuations.
§Outputvoltagenotlongtermstable:Theoutputvoltageofanaccu-
mulatorishighlydependentfromitsstateofchargeand usagehisto-
ry,typicallyrangingfrom23 to28 Volts(TheEPS alwaysprovides
24,00V)
§Theusageofaccumulatorsisquestionableregardingtoenvironmen-
talconcerns.
§Lastnotleastyou are abletolistentoyourmusicwithhigh-end
qualityusingtheEPS whenever you likenotbeingforcedtowait for
accumulators beingcharged.
