REMOTE CONTROL AUTOMOTIVE SECURITY SYSTEM
Congratulations! Your purchase of this state-of-the-art security system ex-
presses a deep concern for the security of your vehicle, its contents, and
passengers. To fully appreciate the many functions and safeguards incorporated
in this system, please spend a few minutes reading this manual. You may find
unexpected features that could mean the difference between “protected” and
“fully protected”.












ARMING THE SYSTEM (CHANNEL 1): ACTIVE
1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close and lock all doors, hood, and trunk.
2. Press and release the ARMING button on the keychain transmitter. The siren will
"chirp" once, the vehicle's parking lights will flash once, the doors will lock (optional),
and the dash mounted L.E.D. will begin to slowly flash.
WARNING ! Excessive pressure on the transmitter button will damage the internal
components on the circuit board. All that is required is a light push to the button.
NOTE: If the siren "chirped" three times when ARMING, then one of the entry points
(hood ,trunk, doors) has been left opened. Closing the Hood, trunk, or door will correct
the problem, and you DO NOT have to disarm the system to make the correction.
ARMING THE SYSTEM (CHANNEL 1) : PASSIVE
1. Turn off the engine, exit the vehicle, and close and lock all doors, hood, and trunk.
2. The dash mounted L.E.D. will begin flashing rapidly, indicating that the system is
automatically (passive) arming. As an added convenience, the automatic passive
arming will not begin until all doors and trunk lid are closed, allowing passengers to
exit the vehicle at their convenience.
3. In 30 seconds, you will hear a single, short "chirp" from the siren, and the vehicle's
parking lamps will flash one time, indicating the system is ARMED. At this time, the
dash mounted L.E.D. will begin to flash slowly, providing a visual indication that the
system is fully ARMED.
3A. If the optional door lock interface has been installed, the doors WILL NOT
automatically lock when the 30 second arming time expires.
4. If you wish to ARM the system immediately, simply press and release the button on
the keychain transmitter. The siren will "chirp" once, the doors will lock (optional),
and the dash mounted L.E.D. will begin to slowly flash.
PROTECTION WHILE THE SYSTEM IS ARMED:
1. Opening any door, hood, or trunk will cause the alarm to immediately sound. The siren
will continue to sound for 60 seconds, then stop and automatically re-arm the vehicle.
If the potential thief left a door opened, the siren will sound for four 60 second cycles,
then re-arm and ignore the opened door.
2. Whenever the system is armed, the Red dash mounted L.E.D. indicator will slowly flash.
This serves as a visual deterrent to the potential thief. The L.E.D. is a very low current
bulb, and will not cause the vehicle’s battery to drain, even when left unattended for
extended periods.
3. If the starter cut relay (optional) is installed, whenever the system is armed, the vehicle’s
starter will be bypassed. If a thief should choose to ignore the siren, the vehicle can not
be started.
4. Whenever the system is triggered, the vehicle's parking lights will flash for the 60 second
alarm cycle, attracting added visual attention to the vehicle.

INTRUSION WARNING SIGNALS:
DISARMING THE SYSTEM (CHANNEL 1):
1. As you approach the vehicle, press and release the button on the key chain transmitter.
WARNING! Excessive pressure on the transmitter buttons will damage the internal
components on the circuit board. All that is required is a light push to the button.
2. The siren will “chirp” 2 times and the vehicle's parking lamps will flash two times.
a) If the door lock interface (optional) is installed, the vehicle’s doors will
automatically unlock.
The “Valet” switch allows you to temporarily bypass all alarm functions, eliminating the
need to hand your transmitter to parking attendants or garage mechanics. When the
system is in the valet mode, all alarm functions are bypassed, however, the remote panic
feature and remote door locks (optional) will remain operational. To use the valet mode;
1. Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition key to the “on” position.
2. Move the valet toggle switch to the “on” position. The dash mounted L.E.D. will turn
on solid, and remain on as long as the system is in the valet mode.
3. To return to normal operation, move the valet switch to the “off” position any time
the ignition is on.
In the event you lose your transmitter, or if the transmitter fails to disarm the system,
VALET / SYSTEM OVERRIDE SWITCH:
The system will inform you if an intrusion attempt has occurred while you were away from
the vehicle. If an intrusion attempt has occurred, the siren will “chirp” 4 times when
disarming the system. Enter the vehicle and observe the dash mounted L.E.D. for further
information.
1. If the L.E.D. is flashing two times...pause...two times...etc., then an intrusion attempt
was made to the hood, trunk, or any optional sensors that were added to the vehicle.
2. If the L.E.D. is flashing three times...pause...three times...etc., then an intrusion
attempt was made through one of the vehicles doors.
These intrusion warning indicators are stored in the system’s memory, and will only be
erased from memory when the ignition key is turned on.
3A. ACTIVE: The dash mounted L.E.D. will turn off, and remain off until the system is
armed.
3B. PASSIVE : Never attempt to disarm the system from a distance that prevents you
from opening a door within 30 seconds. Since the system is programmed for passive
arming, it will begin to re-arm until a door is opened. Opening the door will suspend
the passive arming cycle.

the valet switch can be used as a system override switch. Open the car door (the alarm
WILL sound). Turn the ignition key on, and move the valet switch to the “on” position.
The alarm will stop sounding, and the vehicle can now be started.
NOTE: Always remember to move the Valet Switch back to the ”off” position. This
will ensure that the vehicle remains protected at all times.
REMOTE PANIC OPERATION (CHANNEL 1):
The arming button on your key chain transmitter also functions as a “panic” switch for
instant activation of the alarm in emergency situations. To use the remote panic switch;
1. Press and hold the button on the key chain transmitter for 3 seconds or more. The alarm
will immediately sound.
2. To stop the alarm, press and release the button on the key chain transmitter. If the
button is not pressed, the alarm will automatically stop after 60 seconds.
WARNING: Excessive pressure on the transmitter buttons will damage the internal
components on the circuit board. All that is required is a light push to the button.

FONCTIONNEMENTDUACTIF/PASIF
FÉLICITATIONS! Votre achat de ce système de sécurité à la pointe du progrès
reflète un profond souci de la sécurité de votre véhicule, de son contenu et de ses
passagers. Pour apprécier complètement les nombreuses fonctions et les sécurités
que comporte ce système, veuillez prendre quelques minutes pour lire cette
notice. Vous y trouverez des caractéristiques inattendues qui peuvent faire la
différence entre "protection" et "protection complète".
2 émetteurs sur la chaîne porte-clés sont fournis
Armement et désarmement instantané à l'aide d'un émetteur de chaîne porte-
clés à distance
Il est possible d'ouvrir et de fermer les portes à verrouillage électrique en
même temps, à l'aide de l'interface de verouillage de porte.
Le démarreur du véhicule est invalidé chaque fois que l'alarme est armée. Il
faut un relais supplémentaire (non fourni)
Un interrupteur caché valet/désarmement d'urgence invalide l'alarme en cas
de perte de l'émetteur ou si l'on désire mettre l'alarme hors fonction pour
effectuer une réparation

FONCTIONNEMENT DU SYSTÈME
1. Couper le contact, sortir du véhicule et fermer toutes les portières, le capot et le coffre.
2. Appuyer sur le plus bouton D'ARMEMENT de l'émetteur de la chaîne porte-clés et le laisser revenir.
La sirène "piaule" une fois, les feux de stationnement du véhicule clignotent une fois, les portes se
verouillent (l'option), et le voyant DEL monté sur le tableau de bord commence à clignoter lentement.
AVERTISSEMENT! En appuyant trop fort sur les boutons de l'émetteur, on risque d'endommager les
composants internes du circuit imprimé. II suffit d'appuyer légèrement sur le bouton.
NOTE: Si la sirène "piaule" trois fois lors de l'ARMEMENT, c'est que l'un des points d'entrée (capot,
coffre ou portes) est resté ouvert. La fermeture du capot, du coffre ou des portes corrige le problème et
il est inutile de désarmer le système pour effectuer la correction.
ARMEMENT DU SYSTÈME (VOIE 1): PASSIF
1. Couper le contact, sortir du véhicule et fermer toutes les portières, le capot et le coffre.
2. La diode électroluminescente (DEL) commence à clignoter rapidement indiquant que le système
est en phase d'armement automatique (passif). Pour faciliter l'utilisation, l'armement passif
automatique ne débute pas tant que toutes les portes et le coffre ne sont pas fermés, ce qui laisse aux
passagers tout le temps nécessaire pour descendre du véhicule.
3. 30 secondes après, la sirène émet un "piaulement" court unique et les feux de stationnement
clignotent un seule fois, indiquant que le système est ARMÉ. En même temps, la diode
électroluminescente montée sur le tableau de bord commence à clignoter lintement, fournissant une
indication visuelle que le système est complètement ARMÉ.
3A. Si l'interface de verrouillage de porte en option est installé, les portes ne se verrouillent pas
automatiquement une fois les 30 secondes de temps d'armement écoulées.
4. Pour armer immédiatement le système, il suffit d'appuyer sur le bouton de l'émetteur de chaîne porte-
clés et de le relâcher. La sirène "piaule" une seule fois, les portes se verrouillent et la diode
électroluminescente montée sur le tableau de bord commence à clignoter lentement.
ARMEMENT DU SYSTÈME (VOIE 1): ACTIF
PROTECTION UNE FOIS LE SYSTÈME ARMÉ
1. L'ouverture d'une porte, du capot ou du coffre déclenche immédiatement la sirène de l'alarme. La
sirène retentit sans interruption pendant 60 secondes, puis s'arrête et réarme automatiquement le
véhicule. Si le voleur potentiel laisse une porte ouverte, la sirène sonne pendant quatre cycles de
60 secondes, puis se réarme et ignore la porte ouverte.
2. Le voyant DEL rouge monté sur le tableau de bord clignote lentement chaque fois que le système
est armé. II sert à dissuader le voleur potentiel. Le voyant DEL ne consomme que très peu de courant
et ne décharge pas la batterie même si on n'utilise pas le véhicule pendant une longue période de
temps.
3. Le démarreur du véhicule est court-circuité chaque fois que le système est armé. Si le voleur outre-
passe la sirène, il ne peut pas faire démarrer le véhicule.
4. Les feux de stationnement du véhicule clignotent pendant le cycle d'alarme de 60 seconds, attirant
une attention visuelle supplémentaire sur le véhicule chaque fois que le système se déclenche.

DÉSARMEMENT DU SYSTÈME (VOIE 1):
1. En approchant du véhicule, appuyer sur le bouton de l'émetteur de chaîne porte-clés et le laisser
revenir.
AVERTISSEMENT! En appuyant trop fort sur les boutons de l'émetteur, on risque d'endommager les
composants internes du circuit imprimé. II suffit appuyer légèrement sur le bouton.
2. La sirène émet deux "piaulements" & les feux de stationnement du véhicule clignotent deux fois.
a) Sil'interface de verrouillage de porte en option est installé, les portes ne se déverrouillage pas
automatiquement.
3A. ACTIF: Le voyant DEL monté sur le tableau de bord s'éteint et reste éteint jusqu'au réarmement du
système.
3B. PASIF: Ne jamais essayer de désarmer le système à une distance qui empêcherait d'ouvrir les portes
dans les 30 secondes qui suivent. Le système étant programmé pour un armement passif, il
commencera à ré-armer jusqu'à ce qu'une porte soit ouverte. L'ouverture d'une porte arrête le cycle
d'armement passif.
SIGNAUX D'AVERTISSEMENT D'EFFRACTION
Le système informe le propriétaire de toute tentative d'effraction pendant son absence. En cas de
tentative d'effraction, la sirène "piaule" 4 fois lors du désarmement du système.
1. Si le voyant DEL clignote deux fois..s'arrête..clignote deux fois..etc, c'est qu'une tentative d'effraction
s'est produit au niveau du capot, du coffre ou d'un capteur en option branché sur la zone 2.
2. Si le voyant DEL clignote trois fois..s'arrête.. clignote trois fois...etc, c'est qu'une tentative
d'effraction s'est produite par les portes du véhicule.
Ces indications d'effraction resteront dans la mémoire du système jusqu'à ce que la clé de
contact soit mise en position marche.
INTERRUPTEUR D'INVALIDATION DU SYSTÈME/VALET
L'interrupteur "Valet" permet d'invalider temporairement toutes les fonctions d'alarme, ce qui permet
de ne pas laisser l'émetteur à des employés de parking ou à un garagiste. Lorsque le système est en mode
valet, toutes les fonctions d'alarme sont invalidées, toutefois, les caractéristiques de panique à distance
et de verrouillage de porte à distance (en option) restent opérationnelles.
Pour utiliser le mode valet:
1. Entrer dans le véhicule et mettre la clé de contact en position "ON" (Marche).
2. Mettre l'interrupteur à bascule valet en position "ON" (Marche). Le voyant DEL monté sur le tableau
de bord s'allume en permanence, et reste allumé tant que le système est en mode valet.
3. Pour revenir en fontionnement normal, mettre l'interrupteur valet en position "OFF" Arrêt n'importe
quand, alors que l'allumage est en marche.
En cas de perte de l'émetteur ou si l'emetteur ne réussit pas à désarmer le système, on peut utiliser
l'interrupteur valet comme interrupteur prioritaire du système. Ouvrir la porte de la voiture (l'alarme se
déclenche). Tourner la clé de contact pour la mettre en position "ON" (Marche). L'alarme arrête la sirène
et on peut faire démarrer le véhicule.
NOTE: Ne jamais oublier de remettre l'interrupteur valet en position "OFF" (Arrêt). Le véhicule reste
ainsi protégé tout le temps.
