B Microphone key (on the base unit and on the mobile micro-
phones)
Press one of these keys during the call to switch off all the micro-
phones.
Press the key again to switch the microphones on again.
C MENU key
Press this key to jump to the main menu.
D OK key
Press this key to select a menu option, save a text you have input, or
confirm a selected entry.
E Soft keys (3x)
These keys have different functions, depending on the operational
state or which menu is selected. The selected mode or menu is
displayed directly above the key in the display. See also Soft key
display in the display (page 14).
F Directional pad
On the home screen and in these screens: press or to switch
between levels if more than one soft key level is present.
In the menus: press or to scroll through the menu options. Press
to confirm a menu option, and press to go back one level.
During setup: press or to select from predefined entries.
When entering text: press or to move the cursor.
G Hook key
Accept call/end call: Press the key each time.
Making a call with dial preparation: enter the phone number, and then
press this key.
Making a call directly: press this key and then enter the phone number.

H Keypad
Use the keypad to select numbers and letters. In the text entry menu,
press the digit keys one or more times until the required character
appears. See also Entering telephone numbers and text (page 22).
I Volume key
In idle state or when ringing: increase/reduce the ringer tone volume
or switch it off completely.
During a call: increase/reduce the loudspeaker volume.
J Back key
Press this key to return to the previous step and, if necessary, exit the
current action.
K Hold key
Press this key to put the call on hold. To resume the call, press the
Resume soft key.
If you have more than one call on hold, press or on the directional
pad to select the call you want to continue, and then press the
Resume soft key to resume it.

Device overview
The idle state display is identical to the home screen, and shows that no
active connection is present.
The "Account" soft key only appears if more than one account is present.
Otherwise this soft key is not assigned.
Soft key display in the display
A maximum of three soft keys can be displayed simultaneously in the
display (as shown on the left of the figure below). Several soft key levels are
used if more than three soft keys are present.
In this case, arrows are displayed next to the outer soft keys (as shown on
the right of the figure below). Press or on the directional pad to switch
from one level to another.
The number and arrangement of the soft keys can vary because they can
be programmed for your particular telephone.
Display symbols
The symbols vary according to which menu has been selected (e.g. in the
call history) or the current state of the device (e.g. call diversion enabled):

Introduction to Using the Telephone
In idle state
If you miss a call, the message 1 missed call is displayed, for example,
instead of the account details.
The number and arrangement of the default soft keys for the idle state
display (as shown in Display (page 13)) can vary because your telephone's
soft keys are programmable.
Menu overview
Press the MENU key to display the main menu and then access the sub-
menus from it. This is where you can call different functions and make
settings on the device.
• Features
–Call: availability and visibility settings for incoming (received) and
outgoing (dialled) calls
–Directory: select this to call the contacts list or blacklist
–Call history: select this to call the list of incoming (received) and
outgoing (dialled) calls
–Message: select this to call received messages from the voice
mailbox
–Speed dial: select this to assign speed dial keys
•Status
–Network: select this to get information about the network connection
–Account: select this to get information about the accounts

other information
–Wireless microphone: select this to display the status and function
for localisation
• User settings
–Preferences: select this to set the preferences for language, date,
time. Restart the device
–Display: select this to make display settings
–Audio: select this to make ringer tone and key tone settings
–Wireless microphone: select this to make settings for recording
• Admin settings (access with administrator password)
–Network settings: select this to make settings for DHCP, static IP
and VLAN
–Account: select this to define IDs, passwords, IP addresses and
ports
–Provisioning: select this to make server access settings
–Reset to default: select this to reset the device to its factory settings
–Restart phone: select this to restart the device
Soft keys with a fixed function
Soft keys that have more than one function are listed below, in the "General"
list.
This list is followed by descriptions of soft keys for specific modes or
dialogues which are either only available in these places, or only have a
specific function there.

Dial Press to dial the displayed telephone number.
Edit Press to change the displayed telephone number and then
dial it.
View Press to open a list or a selected list entry.
Search Press to call the search dialogue.
Add Press to call the dialogue for adding a new list entry.
Delete Press to delete the displayed entry.
Del. All Press to delete all the entries from the list.
Edit Press to call the editing dialogue.

Press this soft key repeatedly to move between the different
text input formats.
Backspc Press to delete the last character before the cursor in the
entry field.
Save/Enter Press to save the selected or entered data.
Back/
Cancel
Press to leave the current page and return to the previous
menu or previous screen. Any changes already made, e.g.
in input fields, are not saved.
End Press to end the connection set-up or the call.

Missed calls (called list)
Soft key Description
Redial Press to open the redial list.
Account Press this soft key repeatedly to move between the
accounts.
Note: This soft key is only visible if more than one account
has been set up.
PC SPK The device becomes available as a hands-free device for
your preferred PC application as soon as you connect it to
your PC via USB.
Call Log Press to open the list overview for incoming (received),
outgoing (dialled) and missed calls.
Contacts Press to open the list overview for contacts and the
blacklist.
Soft key Description
Callback Press to dial the telephone number of the last missed call.
End Press to end the message and return to the home screen.
Soft key Description
Dial Press to dial the telephone number of the missed call.
Save Press to open the list overview for contacts and the
blacklist. You can save the current telephone number to
these lists.

LastNme Press this soft key repeatedly to sort the list by last name or
first name.
Type Press this soft key repeatedly to move between the phone
number types.
Soft key Description
Answer Press to accept an incoming call.
Reject Press to reject an incoming call. The caller can leave a
message if you have configured a mailbox.
Forward Press to reroute an incoming call by entering a telephone
number.
Transfer Press to enter a telephone number to transfer the call with
an announcement.
Blind Press to enter a telephone number to transfer the call
without an announcement.
Conf Press to enter a telephone number to start a conference
call.
