Does my PHIP65 work when my computer is switched off?
The PHIP65 is a dual mode phone that works with both VoIP and your
traditional land phone line. So even if your computer is off, the regular
phone line will still work but the Skype or VoIP services will not. However, if
you leave your computer in hibernate mode with Skype running in the
background, then the phone will still be completely functional.
What happens to calls that I receive if I don’t have my Internet on?
Even if your internet is not working or if it is not on, you can still get regular
land line calls—you just can’t make or receive Skype calls. If you have
Skype Voicemail service, you will be able to check your voicemail as soon as
Skype regains an internet connection.
Will I be able to tell that I’m calling with VoIP instead of a regular
phone?
The way you make a regular land line call and a Skype call is different, so
yes, you will be able to tell whether you are making a Skype call or a regular
land line call depending on how you make the call.
What is the call quality using this phone?
The call quality when making either regular land line calls or Skype calls is
excellent.
How does the call waiting work? What if I’m on a regular land line call
and someone from Skype calls. Can I still answer?
This is one of the great features of this phone. Call waiting works not only
with incoming land line calls while on a land line call, but also with incoming
Skype calls, and vice versa. The PHIP65 truly makes it easy to merge the

Will I be able to receive a Skype call if I’m talking through the regular
land line and vice versa?
Yes. You will always receive either type of call as long as both are
connected properly.

Do I have to sit at the computer when making Skype calls? How far can
I wander away from the computer and still be connected?
The beauty of the PHIP65 is that it allows you to make Skype calls but have
the freedom of a cordless phone. You don’t have to be anywhere near the
computer to make Skype calls, and you now have one phone for both
regular land line calls and Skype calls.
Can I get a call from someone calling from a normal land line or calling
from a mobile phone?
Yes. Your PHIP65 can receive calls coming into your regular land line, as
long as it’s connected, just like any regular phone. If you have a SkypeIn
account, then you others can make calls to your SkypeIn account from any
phone.
