Gambit App
Developed by Avalon SteriTech, Gambit App oers easy control and monitoring features. It enables users to input basic
information such as user name, venue, then set the spray time and duration via Bluetooth. By making these operation data
measurable and traceable, Gambit App helps the management to keep track and achieve a reliable and consistent hygiene
standard.

Table of Contents 1. Introduction
Avalon Steritech, together with Softbank Robotics, aims to develop innovative products and technologies in the elds of
cleaning and bio-decontamination. Gambit is one of the innovations where bio-decontamination capability is introduced to
Whiz, the world-leading autonomous vacuum robot. The 2-in-1 cobotic solution optimizes the manual cleaning and disinfection
protocol by taking over the monotonous and risky steps for cleaning sta, enabling them to focus on high value-added tasks and
driving productivity and eciency eectively.
Read these instructions carefully before using the appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injuries and
equipment damage.
In addition to the notes in the operating instructions, you also need to take into consideration the general safety regulations and
accident prevention guidelines applicable by law. Warnings and information notices attached to the device provide important
information for hazard-free operation.
The manufacturer is not liable for damages resulting from failure to follow these instructions for use.

2.2 Fundamental safety warnings
WARNING
This appliance runs on electricity. It comes with a risk of electric shocks. Please observe the following:
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
• The appliance must only be supplied at safety extra low voltage corresponding to the marking on the appliance.
• Prior to cleaning or other maintenance, the appliance must be disconnected from the supply mains.
• This appliance contains batteries that can only be replaced by skilled persons.
• For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use the detachable supply unit XSG2927000 (Manufacturer = Xinsu
Global) specically designed to operate with this appliance.
• XSG2927000 detachable power charger unit is used.
• The battery must be removed from the appliance before disposal.
• The appliance must be disconnected from the supply mains when removing the battery.
• Dispose of used batteries properly. When discarded, they must be disposed of at a e-waste collection point or battery-recycling
sites. Please consult local authorities regarding hazardous waste disposal.

WARNING
• Do not operate or service this equipment or handle the disinfectant until you have been trained on this information. Only
trained and professional users should operate the Gambit system.
• Risk of asphyxiation. Keep packaging lm out of the reach of children.
• Please read, understand, and follow all safety information, cautions and warnings specied in the manual, on the
disinfectant product label and package inserts before operating the Gambit system.
• Failure to properly follow these instructions and precautions may cause re, explosion, injury, or other hazards.
• Inspect packaging and the components and accessories for damage before use. Do not use the Gambit system if there is
any leakage or if it is broken or damaged in any way.
• Do not operate the Gambit system in, at or near a place with ammable liquids, gases, or dust. The Gambit system may
create sparks that ignite the dust or fumes.
• Do not operate the Gambit system while fatigued or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
• Keep spectators, children, and visitors away while operating the Gambit system. To reduce the risk of injury, do not operate
the system near children and animals.
• Do not talk to or distract the operator when he/she is operating the Gambit system. Inattention while operating the
Gambit system may result in serious injury.
• Do not touch any moving parts (i.e. wheels, brakes, etc) while the Gambit system is operating.
• Do not operate the Gambit system with wet hands.
• Do not place or operate the Gambit system near any water, pool, tub, or sink.
• Do not immerse the Gambit system in a liquid or subject it to any sterilization processes.
• To ensure safety and the proper performance of the Gambit system, use only approved accessories.
• Store and keep the Gambit system out of reach of children and other untrained personnel.
• The chemical to be used with Gambit has to be authorized by Avalon SteriTech. Oil-based, ammable acid-based or any
chemicals with residues are not allowed. The use of inappropriate chemical will void the warranty.
• Ensure the chemicals used with the Gambit system comply with the chemical labels and any applicable laws, including but
not limited to any local, state, federal laws and regulations (if any); and also, any laws and regulations in the country where
it is used.
• Do not touch, tamper, or insert any foreign objects into or onto the nozzle.
• Use only the power charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge the system. Do not probe with conductive objects.
Do not allow any liquid to get inside the power charger. Do not use the power charger to recharge other systems. Failure
to follow the above instructions may cause injury and/or damage to the equipment.
• Do not use an extension cord. Using an improper extension cord can cause re, electric shock, or explosion.
• The power charger is designed to operate on standard household electrical power (Input: 110/120 or 220/240 VAC,
~50/60Hz 3A Max. Output: 29.2V, 7A) with a proper country plug. Do not use any other power charger or power cord other
than specied by the Gambit system.
• Do not operate the Gambit system at altitude above 2,000m.
• Operate the Gambit system in Pollution Degree 2 environment: Normally only nonconductive pollution occurs. Temporary
conductivity caused by condensation is to be expected.
CAUTION
• Do not carry out repairs or modication on the Gambit system other than those described in this manual. The Gambit
system is not eld-serviceable. If necessary, contact Avalon SteriTech representative or distributors in your region for
assistance.
• Inspect packaging and the components and accessories for damage before use. Do not use the Gambit system if it is
broken or damaged in any way.
• Do not add or remove parts to/from the Gambit system.
• Do not restrict or cover the air vents area in the back of the Gambit system.
• Do not use outdoors.
• To reduce equipment damage risks associated with powerful electromagnetic elds (such as device interference), avoid
using the Gambit system less than 3 feet (1 meter) from strong radio frequency (RF) signals emitted from portable and/
or mobile RF devices (including, but not limited to, Wi-Fi routers, microwave ovens and radios). If sudden or unexpected
sounds are heard from the Gambit system, turn o the system and move the equipment away from any radio transmitting
antennas. Using accessories, transducers, and cables not produced or authorised by Avalon Steritech may result in
increased RF emissions or decreased immunity of the Gambit system.
• To reduce the risks associated with environmental contamination, follow applicable regulations when disposing of the
Gambit system. The Gambit system contains one lithium battery batteries. Please properly dispose of the device as
mandated by local directives.
• Ensure chemicals used with the Gambit system are free from solids and debris before charging into the Gambit system’s
solution tank.
• Remove all unused chemicals from the solution tank after each use and dispose properly. Ensure the disposal of chemicals
are in compliance with the chemical labels, MSDS and any applicable laws, including but not limited to any local, state,
federal laws and regulations (if any); and also, any laws and regulations in the country where it is used.
• Atomised chemical and water particles are generated during the disinfecting procedure with the Gambit system. A
build-up of these particles within an enclosed environment can cause the false activation of certain models of smoke
detectors. To lower the chance of false activation of smoke detectors, please refer to the Section 11.3 in the user manual to
understand the recommended parameters to achieve targeted disinfection ecacies.
• Test and monitor the disinfection protocols manually before switching over to autonomous mode. Monitor and, if necessary,
make adjustments to the path and run time to lower the chance of falsely activating smoke detectors.
• If repeated false activation of smoke alarms occurs, please consult with our customer service before further use.
• Unplug the power charger from the power supply after the Gambit system is fully charged.
• Do not expose the power charger to rain, snow or any liquid.
• When trying to disconnect the power charger from the wall plug, pull from the plug head and do not pull by the cord.
• Ensure the power cord will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.
• Do not place any object on top of the power charger or the Gambit system.
• Do not turn on the Gambit system during charging.
• Do not place the power charger near a heat source or any liquid.
• Do not charge Gambit with any damaged cord, plug, or socket.
• Operate the Gambit system on at surface.
• Charge the Gambit system with MAINS supply voltage uctuations ±10 % (for power charger).

In the event of problems, you may refer to "Troubleshooting" in Section 11 for assistance. If the appliance requires repair,
always contact Avalon SteriTech representative or distributors in your region. Always insist on original spare parts. Repairs
carried out by unauthorised personnel may be dangerous and invalidate any accompanying warranty for the appliance.
The Gambit system is intended for spraying water-based disinfectant mist to bio-decontaminate surfaces within a predened
enclosure. within a predened enclosure. within a predened enclosure. It is designed to attach onto Whiz, the autonomous
vacuum cleaning robot developed by SoftBank Robotics. It can also be attached to the Trolley developed by Avalon Steritech
for manual operation.
Uses other than as specied and described in this manual are not recommended and may not be eective or safe in operating
the Gambit system. It is recommended that these instructions be retained for future reference.
• Keep these instructions for future reference.
• If the appliance is transferred to other owners, they should also be given these instructions.
• Failure to follow these instructions may result in injuries and equipment damage.

1Lift the Whiz handle up about 20cm and hold position.
2Mount main frame over the Whiz.
3Lower the Whiz handle to resting position.
4Install the bottom frame on the lower edge of the Whiz.
5Align the bolt hole on the 2 frames.
6Fasten the frame bolts (6 total) using the Philips head screwdriver.

• Make sure the procedure is done on a at and stable surface.
• Make sure the Gambit system is disconnected from the power charger during the process.
• Make sure the Gambit system is switched o during the assembly or disassembly process.
• Make sure the bottom latch hold-down knob is in the unlocked position (please refer to diagram below).
• Always check the connection before operation. To check the side latch connection: With the Whiz handle down (auto
brake engaged), hold the Whiz handle rmly and pull back the Gambit system via its side latches. To check the bottom
latch connection: With the Whiz handle down (auto brake engaged), hold the Whiz handle rmly and pull back the Gambit
system via its lower frame. There should be minimal free movement between the Gambit system and the Whiz.
• Wear suitable gloves when assembling and disassembling the Gambit system.
1Ensure the Whiz is switched on. Please refer to the Whiz’s user manual for relevant instructions.
2Align the Gambit system to the Whiz and make sure the bottom latch is location at the lock position.
3Push the Gambit system into the mounted frame on the Whiz in one continuous motion.
4Upon successful assembly, there should be an audible click from the side and bottom latches.
5. Gambit system assembly and disassembly

1Make sure the Whiz’s handle is down (with auto brake engaged).
2Lift bottom latch up from lock position.

3Press and hold both side locking latches, and pull the Gambit system backwards to decouple from the Whiz.
4Reset the Gambit system's bottom latch to the lock position by pulling the bottom latch down.

• For the purposes of charging the Gambit system, only use the detachable power charger XSG2927000 provided with this appliance.
• Check the power supply cable with mains plug for damage before operation each time. Do not put the device into
operation with a damaged power supply cable. Have a damaged power supply cable replaced immediately by the
authorised customer service / qualied electrician.
• Do not charge outdoors.
• Do not charge near wet areas. Never touch the mains plug and socket with wet hands..
• Do not cover the power charger or Gambit system during charging.
• Do not open or modify the power charger and/or the accessories.
• Do not charge the Gambit system while it is attached to Whiz.
• Do not operate or turn on the Gambit system when charging.
• Make sure Gambit system’s solution tank is empty and the drain valve is in the close position before charging the product.
• Never apply excessive force on the power charger and power cord. Do not damage the power supply and extension cable
by running over it, crushing or yanking it or similar. Protect the power supply cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
• Never remove the cord or fuse when the power charger is connected to the wall plug or the Gambit system.
• Green indicator light (when not attached to Gambit system): Power charger is connected to the mains electricity.
• Red indicator light (when attached to Gambit system): Gambit system is charging.
• Green indicator light (when attached to Gambit system): Gambit system is fully charged.
1Attach the power cord to the power charger.
2Detach the charger port cover from the Gambit system.
3Align and insert the charger connector into the Gambit system.
4Check the connection between the Gambit system and the charging connector by pulling the connector lightly. It should
stay connected.
5Attach the power cord to the wall outlet.
6Please refer to Section 6.1 for the descriptions of power charging indicator lights.
6. Charging the Gambit system

1Disconnect the power supply to the power charger by unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet.
2Press and hold the eject button on the Gambit system. Gently pull on the power cord connector to remove the charging
connector.
• Blue indicator light: Approximately 75 – 100% charge remaining
• Green indicator light: Approximately 14 – 74% charge remaining
• Red indicator light: Approximately 13% or below charge remaining

1Unplug the power changer from the Gambit if it is connected.
2Disassemble Gambit from Whiz (refer to section 5.2) if they are connected.
3Switch o the power of Gambit by pressing the power button.
4Check to ensure the power of Gambit is o, i.e. the button LED is o.
5Open the fuse cap cover with slotted screwdriver.
6Remove the blown fuse from the fuse cap.
7Insert the replacement fuse (15Amps) rmly into the fuse cap.
8Push and rotate the fuse cap clockwise to well secure the cap.
6.4 Instructions to change the GAMBIT fuse
• Charge time (0 – 100%): 1 hour 40 mins ±5%
• Operational time (from 100% charge): 100 mins ±5%
• Stand-by time (from 100% charge): 283 hours ±5%

• The Gambit system should be detached from Whiz during the lling and draining processes.
• The Gambit system should be switched o during lling and draining processes.
• Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including eye protection and respiratory protection, is recommended when
operating the Gambit system for disinfection purpose. Details regarding the use of PPE could refer to the instructions of
the disinfectant manufacturer which can be found on its labels or website.
• Ensure the lling and draining process is done on a at and stable surface.
• The Gambit system spraying nozzle should be pointed in the downward position before lling or draining.
• Make sure the Gambit system solution tank is empty before lling.
• Do not overll. Maximum capacity is 2,500 ml.
• The chemical to be used with Gambit has to be authorized by Avalon SteriTech. Oil-based, ammable acid-based or any
chemicals with residues are not allowed. The use of inappropriate chemical will void the warranty.
• Ensure the chemicals comply with the chemical labels and any applicable laws, including but not limited to any local, state,
federal laws and regulations (if any); and also, any laws and regulations in the country where it is used.
• Drain all unused chemicals from the solution tank properly after each operation day and dispose properly. Ensure the
disposal of chemicals comply with the chemical labels, MSDS and any applicable laws, including but not limited to any
local, state, federal laws and regulations (if any); and also, any laws and regulations in the country where it is used.
• The lter is used to prevent any solids or debris. If you are lling with brand new disinfectant, the ller port lter does not
need to be used. Every time after the lter is used, please rinse it with water.
• In case of solution spill, clean o with dry cloth before continuing the operation.
• Ensure chemicals used with the Gambit system are free from solids and debris before charging into the Gambit system’s
solution tank.
7. Solution lling and draining
WARNING
CAUTION
• The Gambit system should be switched o and detached from Whiz.
• Check to ensure the solution tank is empty. If not, drain the solution tank following instructions described below.
• Check to ensure the drainage valve is in the closed position (Please refer to Section 7.5 for further information)
• Check to ensure the Gambit system is not charging, and that it is not connected to the power charger during the lling
process.
• Check to ensure the ller port lter is removed before lling the disinfectant. The ller port lter can only be used for water
tank cleaning with distilled water.
7.1 Before lling the Gambit system solution tank
1Flip open the solution ller door.
2Slowly ll the Gambit system with approved chemicals / disinfectants through the funnel. Take care not to overll the
solution tank where the maximum capacity is 2,500mL. Please drain some of the solution in case overlled the solution
tank (Please refer to Section 7.5 for further information).
3Close the solution ller door rmly.
4Wipe / clean any spill with dry cloth.
7.2 Instructions to ll the solution tank

• The Gambit system should be switched o and detached from Whiz.
• Check to ensure the Gambit system is not charging, and that it is not connected to the power charger during the lling
process.
• In case of solution spill, clean o with dry cloth before continuing the operation.
1Open the magnetic solution drainage door.
2Take out the solution drainage tube and insert into an appropriate container.
3Rotate the drainage valve counterclockwise by 90 degree to drain.
4After the chemical drainage is complete, rotate the drainage valve clockwise by 90 degree to close.
5Tuck away the solution drainage tube.
6Close the magnetic solution drainage door.
7Remove all unused chemicals from the solution tank after each use and dispose properly. Ensure the disposal of chemicals
are in compliance with the chemical labels, MSDS and any applicable laws, including but not limited to any local, state,
federal laws and regulations (if any); and also, any laws and regulations in the country where it is used.

7.5 Instructions to drain the solution tank

• Operation in explosive atmospheres is strictly prohibited.
• Never spray or vacuum uids, ammable gases, explosive dusts as well as undiluted acids and solvents. These include
petrol, paint thinners or heating oil, which can form explosive vapours or mixtures through suction air turbulence, also
acetone, undiluted acids and solvents because these will damage the materials used in the machine.
• Do not touch the nozzle while it is in operation as the surface can be extremely hot and may cause burn.
• The nozzle surface could stay hot up to 10 minutes after operation ends.
• Do not change the nozzle angle during spraying.
• Only rotate the nozzle via the handle.
• Do not insert any foreign object into the nozzle.
• Do not operate the nozzle outside of the permitted maximum angles.
• Do not attempt to wipe the nozzle surface, as this may introduce debris into the nozzle and create blockage.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the nozzle.
• Wear suitable protective gear when operating the Gambit system.
• Check the solution level indicator LED to conrm there is sucient solution for operation. Please refer to section 7.3 for
details.
• Make sure the nozzle head is not covered and the nozzle hole is not blocked.
8. Gambit system operation
CAUTION
The Gambit system can spray chemicals in two modes: (1) automatic; (2) manual.
Automatic mode: Activation by the motion sensing system (via optical sensor) when it detects >10 seconds of continuous
movement. Once the Gambit system’s motion sensor detects >10 seconds of stationary idle, the spraying will stop
automatically.
Manual mode: Activation by pressing the manual activation button when the Gambit system is stationary or in motion. In this
mode, the motion sensor is disabled. The Gambit system should be switched o and detached from Whiz.
• Operating temperature: 5 °C to 40 °C.
• Storage temperature with full retail packaging: 5 °C to 40 °C.
• Relative humidity for operation and storage with ll retail packaging: 20% to 85%.

8.3 Automatic mode – Instructions
• DO NOT use the Gambit system to apply ammable or oil-based liquids.
• The chemical to be used with Gambit has to be authorized by Avalon SteriTech. Oil-based, ammable acid-based or any
chemicals with residues are not allowed. The use of inappropriate chemical will void the warranty.
• Ensure chemical solutions are free from solids and debris before charging into Gambit system’s solution tank.
• Ensure the chemicals used with the Gambit system are in compliance with the chemical labels and any applicable laws,
including but not limited to any local, state, federal laws and regulations (if any); and also, any laws and regulations in the
country where it is used.
• The Gambit system will generate ne disinfectant mist. Always follow chemical manufacturer’s MSDS and instruction
label(s) (including dilution instructions) carefully to avoid health and safety issues. Protective clothing, such as goggles,
gloves, respirators must be worn in compliance with the manufacturer’s MSDS and instruction label(s).
• Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including eye protection and respiratory protection, is recommended when
operating the Gambit system for disinfection purpose. Details regarding the use of PPE could refer to the instructions of
the disinfectant manufacturer which can be found on its labels or website.
• Remove all unused chemicals from the solution tank after each use and dispose properly. Ensure the disposal of chemicals
are in compliance with the chemical labels, MSDS and any applicable laws, including but not limited to any local, state,
federal laws and regulations (if any); and also, any laws and regulations in the country where it is used.
• To reduce the risk of burns, never touch the nozzle during or immediately after operation. The nozzle surface is extremely
hot during and after operation.
9. Recommended disinfection protocols
WARNING
• Keep the disinfectant out of the reach of children.
• Should disinfectants come into contact with eyes, rinse these out immediately and thoroughly using water and seek
medical attention immediately. The same applies if disinfectants are swallowed.
• The Gambit system comes with one solution tank.
• Most water-based chemicals are suited for use with the machine.
• Evicate-Pro (manufactured by Avalon Steritech) and Nanocyn (manufactured by MicroSafe) are the two disinfectants
endorsed by Avalon Steritech for use with the Gambit system.
• Do not operate with an empty tank as this may damage the equipment.
• Do not operate in automatic mode near light embedded oors as the optical motion sensor can accidentally activate the
spray function.
• To avoid accidental spraying, turn o the Gambit system when it is not in use or during transportation.
• Disinfectant mist and water particles are generated during the disinfecting procedure with Gambit. A build-up of these
particles within an enclosed environment can cause the false activation of certain models of smoke detectors. To lower the
chance of false activation of smoke detectors, please refer to Section 9 and Section 11.3 in user’s manual to understand the
recommended parameters to achieve targeted disinfection ecacies.
• Check to ensure ller port lter is removed before the disinfection.
• If repeated false activation of smoke alarms occurs, please consult with Avalon SteriTech representatives or distributors in
your region before further use.

9.1 Recommended disinfection instructions using Gambit system
Whiz Gambit is the rst disinfection robot to achieve Performance Mark by SGS Hong Kong with proven ecacy to
eliminate >99% microbial bioburden. Please refer to the QR code below for details of the performance test.
The following steps are recommended procedures to achieve the highest possible disinfection ecacy within the target area:
1The Gambit system works best to disinfect dry surfaces that are free from visible dirt. Be sure to remove dirt, dust and any
visible grease before performing disinfection process with the Gambit system.
2Remove all loose items on the ground inside the target area to create a visible and safe path for the Whiz and the Gambit
system to operate.
3Following Whiz instructions, design a route that moves along the high-touch surfaces intended to disinfect (e.g. door
handles, furniture, sofa, tables, chairs, light switches, reception desks, etc.)
a. Note: It is recommended to design new Whiz routes when disinfecting with the Gambit system, as disinfection routes
may be dierent to Whiz’s oor care cleaning routes.
4For maximum surface disinfection ecacy, switch o all ventilation, close doors and windows whenever possible.
5Follow the disinfectant user guide on optimal disinfectant usage quantities.
6Allow 30 minutes to 1 hour for the disinfectant mist to settle on the surfaces before re-entering the treated area.

10. Maintenance
• The Gambit system should be switched o and detached from Whiz before cleaning, service and replacing parts.
• Do not plug the Gambit system into the power charger during cleaning.
• Ensure the cleaning sequence is done on a at and stable surface.

operating the Gambit system for disinfection purpose. Details regarding the use of PPE could refer to the instructions of

• The nozzle surface could stay hot up to 10 minutes after operation ends. To reduce the risk of burns, never touch the nozzle
during or immediately after operation. The nozzle surface is extremely hot during and/or immediately after operation.
• Remove all unused chemicals from the solution tank after each use and dispose properly. Ensure the disposal of chemicals
are in compliance with the chemical labels, MSDS and any applicable laws, including but not limited to any local, state,
federal laws and regulations (if any); and also, any laws and regulations in the country where it is used.
• Never use a water jet, chemical spray, pressure-wash or steam to clean the Gambit system.
• Wipe or air dry only; do not use dryer, heater or compress air to dry.
• Have repair work, installation of spare parts and work on electrical components carried out by authorised Avalon SteriTech
representative or distributors in your region only.
• Only use accessories and spare parts which are approved by the manufacturer. Only original accessories and original spare
parts ensure that the appliance will run fault-free and safely.
CAUTION
1Inspect the casters and clean o debris with damp cloth.
2Inspect the solution ller for solids and debris build up.
3Wipe the entire Gambit system housing with a damp cloth.
4Drain all chemicals from the Gambit system’s solution tank following drainage instructions described previously.
5Check to ensure ller port lter is installed before the maintenance.
6Rinse and drain the solution tank with 500 ml of distilled water. Do not use tap, mineralised water or any cleaning solution.
7Use a wet towel to clean the nozzle head.
10.1 Regular care and maintenance instructions (after each use)

1Lay the Gambit system on a soft and cushioned surface, take extra care of the control panel and nozzle.
2Inspect the casters and clean o debris with damp cloth.
3Inspect and remove debris and dirt from the optical motion sensor unit. If necessary, use damp cotton swabs to clean the
optical motion sensor light and sensor gently. Clean o excess water with a dry cotton swab.
4Rest the machine for 10 minutes if it was under operation.
5Place a hot and wet towel at the nozzle head for a minute.
6For non-detachable nozzle casing, use a nozzle cleaning pin to clean the nozzle holes if necessary
7For detachable nozzle casing, hold and rotate the nozzle holder anti-clockwise by around 45 degrees.
8Detach the nozzle holder from the machine and detach the nozzle head from the nozzle holder.
9Clean the nozzle by soaking it in warm water for 5 minutes and shake it gently. Clean the nozzle with the nozzle cleaning
pin if necessary.
10 Assemble the nozzle holder and head, and install it back to the machine.
11 Fill the solution tank with 500 ml of distilled water.
12 Power on the Gambit system following instructions described above.
13 Press the manual spray button to activate spraying. The whole cleaning process should take approximately 12 minutes.
The maintenance operator should be on standby during the entire period.
14 Once the distilled water is completely depleted, press the manual spray activation button to stop the Gambit system.
15 Power o the Gambit system as per instructions described above.
16 Fully charge the Gambit system before storage.
10.2 Periodic cleaning and care (recommended period = every 30 days)
11. Troubleshooting
1The Gambit system will not turn on – what should I do?
Step 1: Press the power button on the Gambit system to switch on the appliance. The LED indicator lights on the spray
nozzle manual activation button should light up.
Step 2: If no LED light is present, follow instructions in Section 6 to recharge the Gambit system and then try to power on
the appliance again.
Step 3: If the Gambit system fail to turn on after recharge, please contact Avalon SteriTech representative or distributors in
your region for further assistance.
2How can I see the battery status of the Gambit system during operation?
Please refer to Section 6 for further details of the battery level indicator LED light.
3How to ensure my power charger power cord is charging the Gambit system properly?
The power charger indicator LED light will turn on when the Gambit system is charging properly. Please refer to Section 6
for additional detail.
To avoid issues surrounding charging the Gambit system, please ensure there is no loose connection between the power
cord, power charger, wall plug and the Gambit system.

• The Gambit solution tank can contain up to 2.5 L of solution. Fill up slowly and ensure there is no solid debris build-up
in the ller port lter.
11.2 Solution lling, draining, and disinfectant protocols
1How can I tell if the automatic mode is switched on?
• Please refer to Section 8 for detailed instructions on how to operate the Gambit system.
• Once the Gambit system is switched on, allow 50 seconds for the automatic boot up sequence to initiate.
• Successful boot up sequence is indicated by a white LED indicator light at the bottom of the Gambit system.
• Once the automatic mode is switched on, the Gambit system will spray when it detects >10 seconds of continuous
movement. In addition, if it detects >10 seconds of stationary idle, the spraying will stop automatically.
2The Gambit system will not stop spraying despite being in stationary idle for >10 seconds.
• Step 1: Override the automatic mode by pressing on the spraying nozzle manual button.
• Step 2: Reboot the Gambit system to re-initiate the automatic boot up sequence.
• Step 3: Check that the Gambit system is not operating on light embedded oors, as interfering light source can aect
the optical motion sensor mechanism.
• Step 4: If problem persists, please contact Avalon SteriTech or distributors in your region for further assistance.
3My smoke alarm is triggered during Gambit’s disinfection process. What could I do?
• Disinfectant mist and water particles are generated by the Gambit system.
• A build-up of these particles in an enclosed environment can cause false activation of certain models of smoke
detectors.
• Test and monitor the disinfection protocols manually to ensure there is no false smoke alarm activation.
• To lower the chance of false alarm activation, please adjust Gambit’s nozzle spraying angle, routing and run time
in the disinfection protocol.
• If repeated false activation of smoke alarm occurs, please consult with Avalon SteriTech representative of distributors in
your region before further use.
4I accidentally started spraying with the Gambit system when the solution tank is empty. Will it cause any damage
to the appliance?
• Manually stop spraying by pressing the spraying nozzle manual.
• No permanent damage will be caused to the Gambit system if the spraying with an empty solution tank only lasts for
a short period of time.
• Continuous spraying with an empty solution tank may cause damage to the Gambit system nozzle.
• The recommendation is to check the solution level indicator LED light (refer to Section 7.3) for information on the solution
level inside the Gambit system.

1Are there any user serviceable parts inside the Gambit system?
• There are no serviceable parts inside the Gambit system except the detachable nozzle casing, if applicable.

3Can I use tap water / mineralised water for regular and periodic cleaning and maintenance?
