NSTALL or REPLACE BATTERIES

W
hen new and used for the first time – remove the isolation sheet under the battery by
g
ently pulling it out.
(Please make diagram same as actual battery compartment)
1. Remove the battery compartment cover by pushing on the lever in the direction
indicated by arrow
2. To remove battery, gently push battery inwards and it will pop out. (use a tool if
necessary)
3. Install 3V CR2032 Lithium battery with positive plate on top by sliding in beneath
the baffle and pressing down on the opposite side.
4. Re install battery compartment cover

ATTERY SAFETY: Clean the battery contacts and those of the device prior to battery

nstallation. Remove batteries from equipment which is not to be used for an extended

eriod. Follow the polarity (+/-) diagram in the battery compartment. Promptly remove

ead batteries from the device. Dispose of used batteries properly. Only batteries of the
s
ame or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. DO NOT incinerate used
batteries. DO NOT dispose of batteries in fire, as batteries may explode or leak. DO NOT

Weight Unit Measurement

he scale offers both Metric (grams) and Imperial setting (lb:oz) options. Default unit
M
easurement setting is Metric.

t the back of the scale below the battery chamber, you will find the conversion button as
s
hown by the diagram above. To change unit measurement setting, press this button to
t
oggle between the two.

PERATION
U
sing the Scale
A
lways use the scale on a flat, stable and clean surface.
W
eight Mode
1. Place a bowl on the center of the scale (if necessary) before turning on.
2. To turn on, gently press on the scale platform
3. Weighing can commence when the LCD display shows ‘zero’
4. Place item on to be measured and the weight will be shown on the display

Volume Mode
I
f the Milk or Water is being weighed, press the MODE button to choose volume mode and

iew the volume of what is being weighed.

ote: - When metric (g) is the weight unit, the default volume unit is ‘ml’.

When the imperial (lb:oz) is the weight unit, the default volume is ‘fl’oz’.

.To turn on, gently press on the scale platform

.When the LCD display shows ‘zero’, press MODE button to choose ‘Milk’ or ‘Water
mode.

.Place a container on the scale platform.
4
.Press ZERO button to reset LCD display to ‘0’.

.Pour liquid (Milk or Water) into the container and volume will be shown on the display
6
.To view weight of liquid, press MODE button and choose ‘Weight’ mode.

Z
ero and Tare Functions
T
o weigh different items consecutively without removing from the scale, use the Zero and
T
are Functions.
1. Place the first load within the center of the weighing area of the scale to take a
reading.
2. Without removing the load, press the ‘ZERO’ button to reset the display to ‘0’.
3. With the first load still in place, add the next load. The display will now show the
weight of the newly added load.
4. Repeat this step until all items have been added.

OTE: If the total weight of the loads being measured is below 200g (less than 4% of the
s
cale’s capacity) the Zero Function is in use and the Zero indicator will be displayed.

f the total weight of the loads exceeds 200g (more than 4% scale’s capacity) the Tare
F
unction is in use and the Tare indicator will be displayed.
W
hen Tare Function mode is activated – when pressing the ZERO button between loads
t
he LCD display will show the total weight of all loads on the scale (excluding bowl).
P
ress ZERO button again to reset the LCD reading to ‘0’ and continue with the next load.
A
uto Shut Off
A
uto Shut off occurs if display shows ‘0’ or the shows the same weight reading for 1
m
inute.
N
ote: This scaled does not have a manual Turn Off Function
W
arning Indicators
1. When LCD Display shows ‘Lo’, this indicates that battery needs replacing.
2. When LCD Display shoes ‘Err’ this indicates maximum capacity has been exceeded.
Remove item to avoid damage to the scale. (Max weight capacity is 5kg/11 lb)
