Preparing for Installaon
Before starng the installaon, ensure you have the following:
1. The name you’d like to use for the organizaon, site, and room.
2. A network connecon for Mira Connect that has a route to the equipment
and to Mira Portal.
3. The model numbers of the equipment to be controlled.
4. The IP addresses of the equipment and any login credenals required to
control the equipment over the network.
5. Telnet is enabled for network control of the equipment, such as video
conferencing equipment, if it is not enabled by default.

Installaon Steps
Use Mira Portal to dene a Room:
1. Create an account or log in to Mira Portal with your computer:
hps://mira.aveosystems.com.
2. Add a new Organizaon or select one. The organizaon is usually the
name of the company where Mira Connect is installed.
3. Add a new Site to the organizaon or select one. The site is usually a
building or campus locaon within the organizaon.
4. Add a new Room to the site or select a room.
Pair Mira Connect to the Room:
5. Connect Mira Connect to a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) network that has a
route to the equipment and to hps://mira.aveosystems.com or connect a
PoE injector for power when using a wireless network.
6. Press and hold the power switch on the Mira Connect for three seconds
and then release to power on Mira Connect.

7. Select the Applicaon Language.
8. Select the Network: Wired or Wireless. For Wireless Networks, select the
network and enter the password or key, if necessary.
9. If Mira Connect has a valid network route, it will show a pairing code to be
used in Mira Portal to pair to the room.
10. Using Mira Portal, click PAIR in the
Mira Connect panel for the selected
room, then enter the pairing code in
the pop-up window.
11. On Mira Connect, conrm the desired room has been selected in the
Setup Summary and then click Finish.

Add Equipment to the Room:
12. In Mira Portal, select the Equipment menu item. In
the Equipment panel click the ADD buon to add
equipment to the room. In the pop-up window enter
the IP address and oponal login credenals for the
equipment, and click Update Equipment.
13. For equipment that requires addional setup, edit the equipment,
customize the equipment opons or enter control points, and click
Update Equipment. See the Administrator’s Guide for more informaon
about specifying control points.
14. Conrm all equipment shows the green “Connected” status. Edit
equipment with red warning symbols to correct the IP address or control
points.

User Interface
Once Mira Connect is successfully paired with the room, the user interface
will appear on Mira Connect automacally. The user opons available depend
on the equipment used in the room and the control points used with the
equipment. Customize the visual theme for the Site to add a company’s logo,
background image, or custom colors to all rooms within the site.
