A - SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1 - OPERATING PRECAUTIONS
• Before installing your intercom, it is important
to check the following points:
• The internal handset and its mains adapter
must not be installed in locations that
are subject to extremes of humidity or
temperature.
• Do not install near acidic chemicals, ammonia
or sources of toxic gasses.
• In order to avoid any signal interference or
distortion, it is best not to run the handset-
doorplate cables near a 230 V cable (if
possible, use a specific sheath).
• Do not daisy-chain extension cords and/or
multi-socket adapters.
• The handset must only be powered by the
included 230 Vac/12 Vdc adapter.
• The handset and adapter must never be
exposed to water spraying or splashing. Never
put objects containing water on top of these
devices.
• The doorplate must not be exposed to direct
sunlight, rain, or high humidity. Preferred
locations are porches or covered areas.
• Take care not to short circuit the terminals
during installation: there is a risk of irreparable
damage when it is switched on and
subsequent voiding of the warranty.
• The mains adapter must remain easily
accessible.
• Do not cover the handset's ventilation holes.
• The product must not be installed near naked
flames.
2 - MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Never use abrasive or corrosive substances to
clean the products.
• Use a soft, slightly damp cloth.
• Never use an aerosol to spray the product as
this may damage the internal workings.
3 - RECYCLING
This logo denotes that devices which are
no longer in use must not be disposed
of as household waste as they are likely
to contain hazardous substances which
are dangerous to both health and the
environment. Return the equipment to
your local distributor or use the recycling collection
service provided by your local council.
