stateofthe art electronics andisdesigned foruseinhotels,offices
oryourhome.The unit isconstructed toprovideyearsofreliable,
trouble-free service,andiscompactsothatyou can takeitwithyou
anywhereandisdesignedforquickandeasy installation.Pleaseread
theentireinstruction manualsuppliedwiththisproductpriortousing.
Thedocumentationwill assistyou ininstallingthesystemproperlyto
obtainthe bestequipmentperformance.Pleasesavethismanualfor
lateruse.
B.Cautionsand Warnings
1.Placement
Toprevent fireorelectricshock,donotexposethisapplianceto
rainormoisture. Donot placethe setonan unstablecart, stand,
tripod,bracketortabletopreventitfromfalling.Keeptheunitaway
fromstrongmagnets,heatsources,directsunlight,excessivedust.
Iftheunitisbrought directlyfromacoldtoawarm location, mois-
turemaycondenseinside the unit. Whenyoumoveit fromacold
toawarmlocation,waitforaboutone hourbeforeoperating the
unit,orremovethediscandleavetheunitturnedonuntilthemois-
tureevaporates.
2.Installation
Ensurethat the22CMportableDVDplayerisinstalledinaccor-
dancewiththeinstructionsand illustrationsprovided inthismanual.
3.Caution
Donotpushobjectsofanykind intothe unitthrough openings;
do notspill orsprayliquidofanykind on orinthesystem(this
mayresultinafireorelectricshock). Donot placeanything
heavy on the unit.Toensureproperventilation and proper

operation,nevercoverorblockthe slotsand openingswithacloth
orothermaterial.Keep theunitawayfroman openflamesuchas
fire, candleetc.It ishazardoustoreplacethe batteryincorrectly.
Replacethebatteryonlywiththesameorequivalenttype,inorder
toprotect the environment, pleasedisposethebatteryproperly.
Donotusethe unitintemperatureshigherthan 95 degreesFahr-
enheitor35 degreesCelsius.
4.Disassemble
Donotattempttodisassemblethe cabinet.Thereisarisk ofelec-
tricshock and/orexposuretoLaserRadiation. Contact qualified
servicepersonnelifyoursystemneedsrepair.
5.Cleaning Unit
Whencleaning,makesurethesystemisunplugged fromthepower
source.Donotuseliquidcleanersoraerosolcleaners.Useacloth
lightlydampened withwaterforcleaning theexteriorofthesystem
only.
6.Disc
Donot useirregularlyshaped discs suchasheart orstar-shaped
discsastheymaycausetheunittomalfunction.Donotstick paper,
tape orglueon the disc.Donotexposethe disc todirectsunlight
orheatsources.Donottouchthe surfaceofdisc.Handlethe disc
byitsedge. Clean the disc bywiping the disc fromthe centerout
withacleaning cloth.Removethe discfromtheunitandstoreit in
itscaseafterplaying.Someplayback operationsofdiscs maybe
intentionallyfixedbysoftwareproducers.Sincethisunitplaysdiscs
according tothe disc contentsthe softwareproducersdesigned,
someplayback featuresmaynotbeavailable.Alsorefertothe in-
structionssuppliedwiththe discs.

ADVDisdivided intosectionscalled titlesand chapters. When you
playaDVD,aroot menu ofthediscwillappearon thescreen ofyour
TVorMonitor.The contentsof the menu varyfromdisc todisc.
Press MENU during playback todisplaythe menu.SomeDVDsonly
allowyou toselectdisc playbackoptionsusingthe DVDrootmenu.

a.During playbackpress the ‘DISPLAY button todisplaythe cur-
rentTitleNumber(1),the totalNumberofTitles(2),the current
ChapterNumber(3),the totalNumberofChapters(4), andthe
Playing elapsedTimeforthetitle(5).The headingwilldisappear

Duringdisc playback press ‘SUB toselectthe subtitlelanguageyou
desire*,withthe current SubtitleLanguage Number(1)and the total
NumberofSubtitleLanguages(2)displayed. Iftherearemultiple
languagespress ‘SUB againtoselectanothersubtitlelanguage.To
turnsubtitlesOFF,pressthe‘SUB buttonuntil‘SubtitleOff isdisplayed.
TheSubtitledisplaywill disappearautomaticallyifthe ‘SUB buttonis
notpressed againwithin3seconds.

K.Playing MP3Discs
MP3isaformat forstoring digitalaudio.AnaudioCD-qualitysong is
compressedintotheMP3formatwithverylittlelossofaudioquality
whiletaking up muchlessdisc space.CD-R/RWdiscsthat have
been encoded inMP3formatarecompatiblewiththissystem.
WhenanMP3discisinsertedintotheunit,themenuscreenappears
automatically.You can usethe menu screen toselectyourdesired
foldersandsongsorthesystemplaysthesongsintheorderthey
wereburned ontothe disc.
1. Pressthe or buttontochooseafolderfromthefolderliston
theleftside ofthe screen.
2.PressENTERtoselectthe highlighted folder.The songsavail-
ableunderthe folderwillbe listed.
3. Use or buttontochooseasongfromthelist. PressENTER
toselect andbeginplayback ofthehighlightedsong.

4.Usethe (NEXT)button tomovetothe nextsong. Pressthe
(PREVIOUS)button tomovetothe beginning ofthe previous
song.
USINGTHEREPEATFEATURE

2)Pressing the “MENU“Keywill returntothedigestview,andchoose
thepictureyourdesireby “RIGHT”and “LEFT”,andturntothe
previousand nextpageby “PREVIOUS”or “NEXT”.
3)You can previewthe JPGfilewhichyou selectedbypressing “PLAY”
or “ENTER”.
4)Pressing the “DOWN“Keywill rotatethe picture90 degrees
