IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
You should observe the following safety guidelines. Failure to do so will void your
warranty and may contravene local laws and regulations.
Drive Safely
§ Do not use your phone while driving. Use a hands-free device to operate
your phone.
§ Always place the phone in its proper holder; do not place the phone on the
passenger seat, near an airbag.
RF Interference
§ Always obey local laws and regulations pertaining to mobile phone usage.
§ Some electronic equipment may not be shielded from RF signals.
§ Read user’s manual of any accessory or device and its operation and safety
instructions before using it with your phone.
Charger and Accessories
§ Use only approved charger.
§ Do not use the charger outdoors or in wet areas.
§ Unplug the charger from power source before cleaning. Use a slightly damp
cloth for cleaning, and allow charger to dry fully before using.
§ Only use accessories approved by AWG Using unapproved accessories may
result in phone damage, degraded performance, re, electric shock or injury,
and will void the warranty.
§ Check with authorised dealer for list of approved accessories.
Pacemakers
Based on the research and recommendations of Wireless Technology Research,
AWG recommends a separation be maintained between a mobile phone and
a pacemaker to avoid potential interference with the pacemaker. Persons with
pacemakers:
§ Should keep the phone more than 20 cm (6 inches) from their pacemaker
when the phone is switched on;
§ Should not carry the phone in a breast pocket;
§ Should use the ear opposite the pacemaker to minimize the potential for
interference.
§ If you have any reason to suspect that interference is taking place, switch
off your phone immediately.

Hearing Aids
§ Some mobile phones may interfere with some hearing aids.
Medical Equipment
§ Turn off your phone in hospital and other health care facilities.
§ Operation of mobile phones may interfere with the inadequately protected
medical devices.
Vehicles
§ RF signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic
systems in motor vehicles (e.g. fuel injection systems, anti-lock braking
systems, speed control systems, air bag systems).
§ Do not store or carry ammable liquids, gases or explosive materials in the
same compartment as the phone, its parts or accessories.
§ Switch off your phone before boarding an aircraft. The use of mobile phone
in an aircraft may interfere with the operation of the aircraft and may be
illegal.
Prohibited Areas
§ Turn off your phone in any prohibited area where notices so require.
Potentially Explosive Atmospheres
§ Switch off your phone and do not remove its battery when entering any area
with a potentially explosive atmosphere.
§ Areas with potentially explosive atmosphere include gas or petrol stations,
below deck on boats, fuel or chemical transfer and storage facilities or where
blasting operations are in progress and any other area where you would
normally be advised to turn off your vehicle engine.
Obey all signs and instructions. Failure to do so may cause an explosion or re
resulting in property damage, bodily injury or even death.

Care and Maintenance
Observe following care and maintenance instructions to improve the performance
and lifespan of your phone. Failure to do so will void the warranty.
§ Keep phone out of children’s reach.
§ Keep phone dry.
§ Do not use or store in wet, dusty or dirty areas.
§ Do not attempt to take the phone apart.
§ Do not drop, throw or shake phone.
§ Do not use soaps, chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergent for
cleaning. Use a moist cloth to wipe.
§ Avoid exposing phone to severe shocks, extreme (hot or cold) temperatures
or moisture.
§ Keep phone away from open ames e.g. lit candles or cigarettes.
Servicing/repair
§ If the phone, battery, or any accessory is not working properly, send to your
nearest authorised dealer for repair.
§ Do not attempt to disassemble or repair your phone, you may damage the
phone or injure yourself and will void the warranty. Only qualied personnel
should perform repairs.
§ Make back up copies of all data and delete security sensitive data before
sending your phone in for repair.
Disposal
§ Your phone, battery and other components may require precautions for safe
disposal. Please comply with all local laws and regulations when disposing of
your phone and battery.
