The 100 Ω resistor is only used in VAKA applications.
Door monitoring deactivates the unlocking as soon as the door is opened, even if the unlocking
time is longer. A closed door is to be indicated by a closed contact between the terminals.
Commissioning A66
1. Connect the power supply to the A66. (The display will not turn on automatically).
2. Press A and B simultaneously.
3. When the text Enter Programming Code appears, enter the code 112233.
4. Select language and press OK . (Default language is Swedish)
5. Set time and date
A66 is now ready for programming of codes, tags etc.

Real time clock
A66 is equipped with a real time clock How long the time is kept (hold up time) at power loss is
depending on how long the A66 has been powered up.
Charging time Hold up time
1 day > 24 hrs.
7 days > 48 hrs.
When the display presents --:--, time and date has to be set in the A66
Programming
The programming mode is entered by pressing the programming button (the rightmost round but-
ton) and entering of the programming code. (Default set to 112233).
An Excel-template for easier programming can be downloaded from www.info.ax-
ema.se/download/A66_programmeringsmall.xlsx
Please remember to set your own six digit programming code.
Menues
Times
l
Time/ date , settings for time and date.
l
Time schedules , programming of up to three time schedules with three intervals per day.
(I.e, schedule for dayly unlocked: 08:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00 during weekdays)

Open time , Number of seconds the door is unlocked (001-999). (007)
Codes
l
New code , add a new code and select a time schedule during which it is active, alternatively
always can be selected.

Tags
l
New tag , add a tag or radio key, by reading or by entering the id.
l
Tags in series Entering multiple tags with IDs in sequence, by reading or entering the first
and last tag in the series.

Remove tag Removing tag, either by reading under Show tag , by entering the position
number under Enter position , or Enter number or from list .
l
Time schedule tag Selecting a time schedule during which tags should be active.
l
Time schedule tag + PIN Selecting a time schedule during which tags should be active and
require PIN. The PIN code is selected the first time the tag is used.
Day open and exit button
l
Day open Selecting a time schedule during which the door should be unlocked, alternatively,
Always , or Never can be selected.
l
Exit button Selecting a time schedule during which the exit button should be active,
alternatively, Always , or Never can be selected. The door will be unlocked as long as the exit
button is pressed and the open time will begin when the button is released.

Reading
Present the credential against key 5 on keypad
A successful reading is indicated by a green or red padlock depending on if the credential do have
access or not.
If a reading not is indicated, the credential lacks compatibility, or that the MIFARE or EM reading
has been disabled. This is set in the menu Other settings .
Radio
For best coverage, the reader should be mounted with the front facing the reading area. As the
reading is affected by the installation environment, the reading distance can vary between 5 and 50
meters. i.e. wall materials, vehicle bodies and electrical equipment. Before the permanent fixation,
it's recommended to test the coverage using a RN-18 radio key. Significant improvements can be
achieved by moving and/or turning the reader.
Only RN18 radio keys can be used for "radio reading".
SOLO (Off line)
With Axema SOLO, an off-line system consisting of 20 doors can be deployed, fully without phys-
ical interconnecting cabling. A common database is stored locally in the readers and is spread by
MIFARE DESFire EV2 tags. In a SOLO system, access rights and time schedules are identical for
all readers.

Before you contact support
lAfter a factory reset, the A66 needs a power cycle to power up.
lIf --:-- is shown in the display, it's necessary to set date and time. See also Real time clock.
lA66 gives no warning sound if the door is held open after the specified unlocking time. For
that function, the UDR-Plus can be used.
