I. Important Precautions
Read the following safety precauons before operang or servicing your Axial Industrial
Turntable:
Prevent personnel from leaning on equipment and containers or placement of
arms, hands, legs or any bodily member in pinch point areas throughout the
system.
Instruct personnel in the proper placement of product on the turntable. Failure to
place containers or loads in the engineered locaons may hinder the operaon of
the turntable or cause structural damage.
Never operate the turntable without the provided covers and guards properly
installed.
Never walk or climb onto the turntable while it is in moon.
Never restore power or air pressure to the control system without rst clearing the
turntable of personnel, tools or other obstrucons.
Never alter the equipment in any way unless authorized by a qualied Axial/Align
Producon Systems employee.
II. Description of Equipment
This equipment consists of a 7.5-. mechanical turntable mounted to a scale with a
digital indicator. This system is capable of handling loads up to 16,000 lbs. and is
actuated via an electric motor and pneumacally engaged drive. The enre system is
mounted to a pad to be self-contained, requiring only the 120V connecon as well as
an air source for actuang the drive.
Features Include:
16,000-lb. capacity
20,000-lb.-capacity integrated scale
with digital indicator
Self-contained system that can be
moved as one unit
Remote control of the turntable
rotaon (up to 50 .)
110-120V input power supply

III. Installation and Start-Up
Inspect the equipment for possible damage in shipment or unpacking. Please contact
Axial if there is any damage to the unit that may hinder the operaon.
In order to move the system around, you must aach a liing device to the four liing
lugs located on the base plate and welded inside the tubes (see below).
Place the unit in the desired locaon on a clean, level, at oor.
Sweep the oor area to remove dirt and debris.
The oor must be a concrete surface or equivalent that is capable of supporng the
load of the turntable plus the load of the product.
Once the system is on the oor, the shipping hardware must be carefully removed and
the scale top set back onto the load cells. In order to do this, li the turntable top using
the 3 ¾-10 liing eyes around the perimeter of the table top. This will li the table,
bearing and scale top. You only need to li these as lile as possible to get the wood
bracing out from under the turntable. Once the wood is out, the table bearing, and
scale top can be carefully lowered back down onto the load cells. It may be a good idea
to remove the wood bracing from one side and set it down, then move on to the other
side and repeat.
Connect the provided electrical plug into the nearest wall outlet (120V) to power up the
scale digital indicator as well as the electrical drive motor. You will then need to connect
an air hose to the provided quick disconnect to get air to the drive-wheel air spring. The
pneumac panel should come preset at 25 psi on the regulator, which is sucient for
the load.

IV. Specifications
V. Air Supply
It is important that an adequate volume of relavely clean and dry air be supplied to
the turntable. Refer to the aached detail drawing of your system for specic air
requirements and air-line size.

configuration and duty cycle.
VI. Operation
Once you have plugged the provided power cable into the wall outlet (120V) you should
have power to the digital indicator as shown below, and your drive motor should have
power. The air-spring actuator switch will engage/disengage the drive-wheel air spring
to provide the power to keep the wheel engaged. The spring is engaged when the
switch is in the “down” posion. The table can then be turned either clockwise (CW) or
counterclockwise (CCW) by the switch.
The scale and digital indicator have their own operator’s manuals that will be provided
as a supplement to this manual. It is best to center the load onto the turntable for best
results.
NOTE: DO NOT let anything overhang the turntable as this may cause damage to the
unit if it were to rotate.

Besides operang the table from the control stand, a remote (hard-
wired) pendant will allow the operator to rotate the table from a
locaon up to 45-50 feet away from the control stand. The remote
pendant can be seen on the right, with the same forward/reverse
switch as you nd on the control stand.
NOTE: DO NOT aempt to rotate table from both the remote
pendant switch and the control stand at the same me.

How to Gain Access to Components
Using the exploded view below, the stack up of components is in the following order:
The scale mounts to the welded pad (3/4-10 hex-head bolt), then there is a ¾-in. shim
plate aached to the top of the scale. The bearing is also bolted on via the bolts that
hold the shim to the top of the scale (5/8-11 hex-head bolts). Then the table bolts to
the top of the bearing (5/8-11 at-head bolts), and nally the access panel is bolted to
the table top (5/8-11 at-head bolts).
