I.General
His is equipped with the LCD display of text height 18.9 mm, is a 3 ¾ digital multimeter whi h has
the merits of lear Reading, stable performan e and high reliability. It ould be used to measure DC
voltage, AC voltage, DC urrent, AC urrent, resistan e , apa ity, frequen y/duty y le, diode and
make on and off test. Meanwhile, it is available for unit symbol display, automati /manual range
swit hing, automati power off and alarm fun tion. The omplete ma hine takes an integrated
ir uit whi h an dire tly drive LCD 8-bit mi ropro essor and double-integrating A/D swit hing and
a digital display drive offering high resolution and high pre ision. Due to its omplete fun tions,
high measurement a ura y and onvenient operation, the multimeter is the ideal tool in laboratory
and fa tory as well as for radio fans and family.
II.Open-package Inspect on
Open the pa kage box and take out the meter, he k arefully if the following a essories are
absent or damaged. If there is any absen e or damage, please onta t the distributor immediately.

III. Safety Cons derat ons
The design of meter is in a ordan e with IEC1010 lause (the safety standard issued by
International Ele trote hni al Commission). Prior to the operation of the instrument, please first
read the safety onsiderations.
1. When DC voltage above 30V, AC voltage above 25V, urrent above 10mA, AC power line with
indu tive load or power line during ele tri flu tuation is measured, please beware of ele tri
sho k.
2. Prior to measurement, he k if the measurement fun tion swit h is at the orre t position.
Che k if the meter pen is onta ted reliably, onne ted orre tly, and grounded well and et . in
order to avoid ele tri sho k.
3. Only if the meter is used with the mat hed meter pen, an it meet the requirement of safety
standard. When the line of the meter pen is damaged, it is ne essary to repla e another one of the
same model or the same ele tri al spe ifi ation.
4. Don’t use other un onfirmed or disapproved prote tor tube to repla e the prote tor tube inside
the meter. Only the prote tor tube of the same model or same spe ifi ations an be repla ed.

Before the repla ement, the test leads must leave the measuring point and ensure there is no any
signal at the input terminal.
5. Don’t use other un onfirmed or disapproved battery to repla e the battery inside the meter.
Only the battery of the same model or same ele tri al spe ifi ation an be repla ed. Before the
repla ement, the test leads must leave the measuring point and ensure there is no any signal at the
input terminal.
6. When the ele tri al measurement is made, never let your body gets in tou h with the ground
dire tly, and don’t tou h un overed metal terminal, output port, lead lamp and et . where earth
potential may exist. Dry lothes, rubber shoes, rubber ushion and other insulating material are
usually used to keep your body insulated against the ground.
7. Don’t store and use it in the high-temperature, high-humidity, inflammable and strong magneti
field environment.
8. It may do damage to the meter and endanger the operator’s safety if the voltage value beyond
the permitted ultimate voltage value is measured. The ultimate voltage value permitted for
measurement is marked on the instrument panel, and never measure the value ex eeding the
standard. Don’t input the ultimate value out of regulation in order to avoid ele tri sho k and the
damage to the meter.
9. When the test leads is inserted into the urrent so ket, don’t measure any voltage for fear that
the meter should be damaged and operator’s safety be endangered.
10. Don’t try alibrating or repairing the meter. When ne essary, only the qualified professional
personnel who have had spe ial training or gained approval an make it.
11. During measurement, the requirement of measurement fun tion must be in a ordan e with
LCD display. Please be sure to dis onne t the line of the test leads with the measured obje t first
and ensure there is no any input signal. It is forbidden to swit h the fun tion/range sele tion swit h
during measurement.
12. When “ ” is show on LCD display, please repla e battery immediately to ensure the
measurement pre ision.
13. It is not allowed to insert the test leads into the urrent terminal to measure voltage!
14. Please don’t hange the ir uits of the meter freely for fear that the meter be damaged and the
safety be endangered.

3.1. Hz/Duty (Frequen y/Duty Cy le): Press this button to sele t the
frequen y or duty y le mode. The measurement mode of
voltage/frequen y/duty y le or urrent/frequen y/duty y le ould
be sele ted by pressing this button in AC/DC voltage or AC/DC
urrent gear.
3.2. SELECT (Fun tion Swit h): Press this button, the fun tion ould
swit h between DC/AC.
3.3. REL (Relative Value Measurement): The relative value
measurement of all fun tions ould be ondu ted by pressing this
button ex ept the Hz/Duty fun tion
3.4. HOLD (Data Hold): Press this button, the reading is lo ked; Press it again, the lo k is leared
and enter normal measurement status.
4. Knob Swit h: It ould be used to hange the measurement fun tion and range.

V. Other Funct ons
Automat c Power off
During measurement, the meter will automati ally shut down (enter sleeping mode) to save power
if fun tion buttons and knob swit h are not operated in 15 minutes. In auto power off mode, press
any fun tion buttons or rotate the knob swit h, the instrument will get into the auto power on
mode (working mode); the auto power offer mode will be an elled by pressing the HOLD button to
turn on the instrument.

2.2.3. DCA
1. Insert the bla k test lead into the “COM” input terminal and red one into the input
terminal. (Max 400mA), or 10A input terminal (Max 10A).
2. Rotate fun tion swit h to Current gear. The initiate state of the meter is in automati range
status, whi h shows “DC” symbol. Then onne t the test leads to the tested ir uit in serial,
the tested urrent value and the urrent polarity of the point where the red one is onta ted will
be displayed on the s reen simultaneously.
Caut on:
1. If “Ol” is displayed on LCD, it indi ates the tested urrent value has ex eeded the present range
limit, please sele t higher range to omplete the measurement.
2. The Max input value is 400mA or 10A. (Depending on the terminal where the red test lead is
onta ted).

2.2.4. ACA
1. Insert the bla k meter pen into the “COM” input terminal and red one into the input
terminal. (Max 400mA), or 10A input terminal (Max 10A)
2. Rotate fun tion swit h to Current gear. Press “SELECT” button to sele t the AC measurement
mode. Then onne t the test leads to the tested ir uit in serial, the tested urrent value and the
urrent polarity of the point where the red one is onne ted will be displayed on the s reen
simultaneously.
Caut on:
1. If “OL” is displayed on LCD, it indi ates the tested urrent value has ex eeded the present range
limit, please sele t higher range to omplete the measurement.
2. The Max input value is 400mA or 10A (Depending on the terminal where the red test lead is
onta ted). The overrated urrent will lead to fuse melt or even damage the meter.

2.2.5. Resistan e (Ω)
1. Insert the bla k meter pen into “COM” terminal and red one into terminal.
2. Rotate the Range to “Ω” gear. Cross onne t the test leads to the tested resistor.
3. When measuring the low resistan e, please short- ir uit the meter pens at first to test the wire
resistan e, and then dedu t it from the a tual resistan e.
Caut on:
1. If “OL” is displayed on LCD, it indi ates the tested resistan e value has ex eeded the present
range limit, please sele t higher range to omplete the measurement. When measuring the Resistor
higher than 1MΩ, the instrument will take several se onds to make the reading stable. It is normal
when measuring the high resistor.
2. When the input terminal is open ir uit, it will display “OL”.
3. When measuring in-line resistor, be sure that the power is off and all apa itors are dis harged
ompletely.

2.2.6. Diode and Continuity Test
1. Insert the bla k meter pen to “COM” terminal and the red one to terminal. (The polarity
of red test lead is “+”)
2. Rotate the Range to “ ” gear. Press „SELECT” button to sele t the Diode
measurement mode.
3. Forward Measurement: Conne t the red test lead to the diode positive polarity and the bla k one
to the diode negative polarity. The approximate value of diode forward voltage drop will show on
the display.
4. Ba kward Measurement: Conne t the red test lead to the diode negative polarity and the bla k
one to the diode positive polarity. “OL” symbol will be displayed on the s reen.
5. The omplete diode testing in ludes forward and ba kward measurement, if the result does not
meet the above; it means the diode is bad.
6. Press “SELECT” button to sele t the Continuity measurement mode.
7. Conne t the meter pens to two points of the tested ir uit. If the built-in buzzer sounds,
the resistan e between the two points is less than 50Ω.

2.2.7. Capa ity (C)
1. Rotate fun tion swit h to “ ”
2. Insert the bla k test lead to “COM” terminal and red one to terminal.
3. Conne t the tested apa ity by the test leads to “COM”, , input terminal, the s reen will
show apa itan e parameter. (The relative value measurement ould be ondu ted by pressing
“REL” button)

Caut on:
1. Fully dis harge the tested apa itor in ase it damages the meter.
2. When measuring in-line apa itor, the power should be turned off and all apa itors should be
dis harged ompletely.
3. It takes about 30 se onds to input stable reading at 100uF Range.

2.2.8. Frequen y (F)
1.Conne t test leads and shielded able to “COM”, terminals.
2.Rotate fun tion swit h to “Hz” gear. Conne t test leads and the able to the signal sour e or the
tested load. The tested signal will show on the s reen.
Caut on:
1. When inputting AC RMS over 10V, it ould show reading, but ex ess vibration may appear.
2. It is re ommended to test weak signals by shielded able under noisy ir umstan es.
3. Sele t ACV gear when testing the frequen y of high voltage. Then press “Hz/DUTY” button to
enter frequen y measurement status.
4. Don’t input voltage of over 250V DC or AC peak value in ase it damages the meter.

2.2.9. Temperature (°C)
1. Rotate fun tion swit h to (°C) gear
2. Insert the athode (bla k pin) of old end (free end) of thermo ouple into “COM” ja k and anode
into terminal. Then put the working end (temperature measurement end) of thermo ouple
on the surfa e or inside the obje t to be tested. Then you an read temperature from the s reen,
and the data is in Centigrade.
Caut on:
1. When the input terminal is open- ir uit, it will display the normal temperature.
2. Don’t hange the temperature probe at random, or the value a ura y ould not be guaranteed.
3. Don’t measure voltage at temperature range.

VII. Instrument Ma ntenance
This is a pre ision instrument and the user shall not modify the ele tri ir uit at will.
1. Keep the instrument away from water, dust and sho k.
2. Do not store and operate the meter under the ondition of high temperature, high humidity,
ombustible, explosive and strong magneti pla e.
3. Wipe the ase with a damp loth and detergent, do not use abrasives and al ohol.
4. If the instrument is not operated for a long time, please take out the battery to avoid leakage.
5. Pay attention to he status of the 1.5 v battery. When the LCD displays a flashing symbol,
the battery shall be repla ed.
The steps are as follows:
1. Loosen the s rew on the ba k over that se ures the battery door and exit the battery door.
2. Remove the 1.5V batteries and repla e them with two new ones. Although a 1.5V battery of any
standard an be used, but in order to lengthen the operation life, alkaline batteries should be used.
3. Mount the battery door and tighten the s rew.
Precaut on:
1. Don’t input voltage higher than DC 1000V or AC Peak Value.
2. Don’t measure voltage at urrent, resistan e, diode and buzzer range.
3. Don’t use the instrument when the battery has not been mounted properly or the ba k over has
not been tightened.
4. Prior to the repla ement of battery or fuse, please remove the meter pens from the measuring
point and swit h off the meter.
VIII. Fault El m nat on
If the instrument ould not work properly, please try the following tips to solve some general
problems. If the problems still exist, please onta t the maintenan e enter or the distributor.
